Update on Previous Mr Tyre Review (12/03/26)
After an unfortunate mix up of Tyres ordering last week included in my previous Review, I’d like to provide an update.
My Car still managed to pass its MOT on Friday 13th with an advisory on the tyre.
I received a very helpful voice message regarding the tyre being delivered and also asking how the MOT went.
This showed concern for the Customer’s situation which he didn’t have to do.
I booked in for 9.30 on Saturday morning and by 10 am was all done and dusted .
Thanks again to all the helpful team members at Mr Tyre Leicester 👍👏👏👏

When I went to change my car's both…
When I went to change my car's both front tyre, yes they said they have banded tyre agreed to change. I called and made an appointment before got there.After few minutes later they come back said they have only one tyre available. Agreed to
change the brand and final bill paid went the car ( paid for 2 tyres) one driver side front one was changed and passenger side still has the old tyre, went to the reception and disscused the issue then they said they could not remove one of the bolts and I have to find another mechanic and resolve the bolt issue.
Went to the part worn tyre shop next to Mr tyre and they resolved issue.
I really disappointed they didn't communicate what happened.
They are one of the well known repair garage companies and unable to unscrew a bolt?.
I am not going there anymore.
Yes they refunded for one tyre.

But the next door part worn tyre man does not needed any special equipment as you mentioned to remove the wheel nut. As a coustmer your team must communicate with me what they can do. Even I asked the man who booked my car how can this to be fixed.I certainly wanted fix it, instead of that the lady at the reception gave a garage address who deal with this kind of issues.
This should not happen to anyone please speak to the coustmer, like me very little knowledge about mechanical side.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, we’re sorry to hear about your experience on this visit.
To clarify, when working on your vehicle we encountered a damaged wheel fastener which prevented us from safely removing one of the wheels at that time. While this is something we can deal with using specialised equipment in a different area of the workshop, it’s not always possible to carry out that additional work immediately without impacting other pre-booked customers. We appreciate this wasn’t clearly communicated to you on the day, and we apologise for that.
Regarding the invoice, this was a simple administrative error. The original booking was for two tyres, and this wasn’t initially amended when only one tyre could be fitted. This was quickly corrected and the appropriate refund was issued.
We understand your frustration and take your comments on board, particularly around communication, as this is something we are always looking to improve.

Fantastic Service Breaks all sorted
Rang in the morning to ask if Mr Tyre do a break check service, as i was worried i had the start of a grinding noise.
they said yes we have a slot at 4pm, so went along at 4pm had breaks checked, as I thought my breaks were very very low,
Mr Tyre said would I like them replacing, they gave me a quote and I asked when could I have them replaced, they said if you would like to wait a bit longer they will order the parts and fit them while the wheels are still off,
With in half an hr I had my keys back all sorted...

There was black sealant all over tha alloy wheel which wasn’t cleaned of also it took 1 hour to do 1 tyre replacement

Thank you for your feedback.
With regard to the black sealant you’ve mentioned, this is bead sealer which is sometimes applied between the tyre and the wheel to ensure an airtight seal, particularly where there may be minor corrosion on the rim. It needs time to cure properly before any excess can be safely peeled off/removed. That said, we do expect it to be applied neatly, and I’m sorry if the finish did not meet expectations on this occasion.
In terms of the time taken, around an hour in a busy, professional workshop is not unusual. We do not rush tyre fitting, as correct preparation, inspection, balancing and torque procedures are important to ensure safety and longevity. However, we appreciate that waiting longer than expected can be frustrating.
We appreciate your comments and regret it didn’t meet your expectations, we do hope this won’t put you off visiting us again.

Excellent tyre centre. Had a blowout on the way to work. Fixed, balanced and 2 new tyres fitted within 2 hours. Waiting room was clean and warm and the lady on reception was very helpful. Will be returning in the future

Easy booking, big wait
Easy booking. Turned up on time. Was greeted and told we were one job away … that was just after 3pm. Tyre was fitted an hour and a quarter after I chased it up. Simple job queue system prevents this but they didn’t follow that. Tyre was put at side of garage and forgotten. Very polite staff, friendly but can’t lie- service was poor.

We’re really pleased the booking process was straightforward and that you found the team polite and friendly but we’re genuinely sorry for the delay you experienced on the day. You were absolutely right to expect better.
Having looked into this, the issue arose because your tyre was brought in as a loose wheel rather than fitted to a vehicle. Our workshop management system is primarily designed around vehicles, and in this instance it wasn’t correctly logged into the live job queue. As a result, it unfortunately fell outside of the active workflow and was unintentionally overlooked.
That’s entirely on us. While we do operate a queueing system to keep things fair and efficient, it only works when jobs are properly entered and we failed to do that on this occasion.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. In this case, the job simply wasn’t entered into the system correctly, which led to it being missed. That shouldn’t have happened, and we take responsibility for it. We’ve since reiterated the correct process with the team to ensure loose wheels are properly logged going forward.
Thank you again for your honest feedback, and we’re sorry we didn’t deliver the standard of service we aim for.
