I scheduled my orthodontist work there with minimum coverage using Carecredit paying all out of pocket up front then slammed with a $700.00 dollar bill I was never notified after going in every month that balance was increasing tried to reach out to Roxanne and Melinda for assistance in resubmission as instructed by my insurance and they refused to do so Stone Oak office in San Antonio will not utilize you max in insurance benefits you are allowed

CrownFest & Bigger Debt
At first, it seems as if they want to take great care of you. When you go in for a toothache, they explain to you that you need a crown for it, and you find their reasoning quite valid. They find other issues with your teeth (had braces ages ago that were on too long causing enamel leaching at the gum line as well as illnesses that affected nutrients getting to the teeth.) They lay out a plan to work with you on that, stating that there are other molars that needed crowns and that it's best to do those first before other work. And, whatever your insurance doesn't cover, they help you apply for CareCredit to help with out of pocket so it will not hurt you financially - 18 months, no interest sounds really workable. But then, it builds up as you are attempting to keep up with the increasing principle due to "needing more crowns." And, with you working contract positions, there can be lapses in your income here and there. Then, the 18th month hits, and you see retro interest being dropped onto your balance like a rock. And, you get a letter from your insurance denying one of the crowns as not being needed based on their internal dental specialists opinion. The folks at Monarch "appeal the claim", but to no avail. You appeal the claim, but still get the same denial. Then, Smile Brands Inc. (the management services company for Monarch) smacks you with $908 for the crown. You now have to appeal with them, your insurance company, AND CareCredit while it all comes crashing down on you. It appears that the dentist stating that you really needed that crown could not support nor defend his work. And, all this as you are in and out of work from a company you have worked for almost a decade that shifted from full time workers to contractors, you are having difficulty finding full time employment at other companies doing the same, you have a hearing impairment that limits your scope, as well as being a caregiver to a disabled wife (who they said needed a couple of crowns as well, despite her telling them that with the MS treatments she has received weakening her teeth where they are less likely to support the crown, they insist that it will be okay and put them on her anyway. Well, they have now fallen off or cracked due to the weak teeth.) Smile Brands Inc somehow does not receive a letter explaining the situation (next time, certify it) and shovel it off to collections. And, the other teeth that seemed to have needed more attention before CrownFest? Well, they have chipped or cracked further. But hey, at least I have 5 new crowns and a massive debt. Thank you Monarch!!!

Nothing but problems..money money money
Nothing but problems. We had to get permission from our previous ortho to have braces removed. That shows no respect for a person's right to do what they want with their bodu. Then they wouldn't submit to my insurance for the removal because they said that since they would never see us again it wasn't worth the time. So I had too pay full price. This ortho is all about money. Cares nothing about the client! Worst ortho experience ever!

My experience at the Monarch Dental Facility in Sherwood Arkansas was simply AMAZING!!! One of the most professional & courteous staff's I've ever encountered. They took their time, explained everything thoroughly, and left me feeling like I was a part of their family.

Was going to be charged extra for things I didn't feel I needed (desensitizing, white tooth versus silver). Also, they say they have a payment plan, but I wasn't offered one. The actual work was decently done, although my temporary crown fell off after a week. They got me in that day to replace it, so that was good. Overall, it was an ok experience. The doctor was very kind and caring.

After a good wait to go back, the dentist bounced around from patient to patient. I understand that is how a dentist office runs, but it seems they may be trying to juggle too many patients at one time making visits last longer than usual. They did a good job, though. As for the hygienist, he isn't personable, but he does a good job, which is what's important.
