Metro will let there employees do fruad to your account then i had a supervisor cuss me out and hang up on me and they would fix my problem or fo anything about the disrespect i received there are the worst in the world

The workers and the phone customer…

The workers and the phone customer service is horrible I purchased a new phone as well as a second line. My phone is not working at all. I called in and let them know that my second line is texting to my first phone that I had turned on with them. I don’t know what’s going on I called customer service who was rude and hung up in my face. I did call back and leave a message so it can be escalated at this point. I wish I never got MetroPCS. I should’ve stayed with Sprint.

Stole From Me. Literally.

Metro PCS charged me extra money for starting a plan early. I told the customer service worker the new plan should start with my next billing cycle. While she was setting it up she told me something went wrong with the system, and it had gone ahead and started me on the new plan right away, and it would just cost an extra $4 when I paid my bill. I told her no because I had already purchased a data top up for this month. She told me she had fixed it and that my bill would be $52 when it next came around. Anyways. My service got suspended because there was a $4 charge. I called customer service to try and get my $4 back, and the manager accused me of lying (told me that "my story had changed" because the original representative had offered me back the $5 data top up instead of the $4 extra charge and apparently that counts as lying) and told me he wasnt going to give me my money back. I told him to listen to my original phone call with the first representative to hear that I did not authorize the immediate switch over, and he said he wasnt allowed to do that. So it's nice to know you guys are allowed to steal from me and call me a liar but unable to listen to the original phone recording to see that I am telling the truth. :). Will be filing a chargeback with my bank and intend to file a report with the better business bureau. I HAD to pay the $4 to have my service put back into place. But I didn't authorize it and will be switching phone companies next month.

Metro PCS has become a scam!

For anyone who has insurance with Metro PCS, I suggest that you immediately remove it and stop throwing your money away.

Read my story and judge for yourself if I am correct or not.

I have been loyally paying Metro PCS each month for a total of 2 years and 4 months for a Protection Program called: Premium Handset Protection.

Next. is what the service promises:

With Premium Handset Protection, you get comprehensive mobile device protection. Your device will be covered in case of loss, theft, accidental damage including liquid damage and mechanical or electrical breakdown after the
manufacturer's warranty expires. Device insurance must be added to your device within 30 days of purchase and is charged per device. Which is exactly what I did.

So, on December 22, 2022, I called Metro for the first time to use such coverage, and ported a problem with my device charging port.

A Metro Agent kindly instructed me to fill out some online forms in order to proceed with the repair of my phone from there. I felt happy, and I said, I didn't think it would be that easy.

So, once at the online form website, at the final step, after filling out 3 forms. I was told that I must pay a couple of hundred dollars in order to cover the repair. Apart from extra additional charges and taxes.

At that precise moment, I decided not to proceed with the online form and called metro again.

From there, I lasted hours and hours, call after call, begging Metro, explaining that I have been paying insurance to them for a long period of time, and that it was not fair what they were doing.

In the end, they did not show a single drop of remorse in telling me that they could not do anything for me, unless I pay.

Metro refused to fix my device unless I pay almost what the phone itself cost. How dare they do this to a loyal customer who has paid for all that time?

In the end, Metro and the insurer did not want to take responsibility for anything. They blamed one each other.

So, after hearing the same thing from all Metro agents, I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. But even the manager kept saying the same thing, that they couldn't help me. The manager suggested that I must keep trying with the insurer. Then, the insurer told me to keep calling Metro, that they were the ones who should resolve my issue or credit me back. How unprofessional is this company?

Metro suggested I contact the insurer, then the insurer suggested the same as Metro. That I contact Metro again and ask them that since I was not happy with the service, to cancel the service, and to have them credit me back the money.

But Metro refused, saying that if there was someone who had to pay me back, it would be the insurer, not them.

After hours on the phone with Metro, begging them to do something for me, they finally told me that it was nothing they could do for me. The same with the insurer. This is a 100% SCAM on behalf of Metro PCS.

Over the years I have purchased insurances on products I have purchased on Amazon, eBay, among other sites, and that is not how insurance works.

For example, at Amazon, if my electric toothbrush stopped working, I just call, or email them. Reporting the problem, and they send me an empty box with a prepaid label to send the device back.

In a week or so, they send me the repaired item, or they send me a new one. As easy as that, no questions ask.

Metro PCS is one of the most miserable company I have ever known. I definitely do not recommend it to anyone.

me and my husband bought tcl android stylus 5gs at the metro store on 1109 north salina street on december 21st 2011. Since day one we have been hacked. the hacker is completely controling everything on our phones. he has downloaded a trillion of system apps and put 400 files on mine. i have called metro everyday since day 1. we have warranties on our phones. they are not giving us new phones because they arent under their damage policy. this has been a complete nightmare. i have stayed up for days tring to fix the problem only to get nowhere we have changed our numbers 3 times gotten a new sim card and factory resetted the phones like 30 times only to have the same things still on the phones,please think twice before doing business at that store its 1109 north salina street and the gentlemans name there is moe

When a company doesn't care about its workers OR its customers

I want to be clear and say that I think one star out of five is being generous; I would be giving zero if this review would allow it.

It took me twelve hours to get my new replacement phone from Assurant activated. Three of those hours were spent actively in calls with: 1, a person who told me MetroPCS couldn't activate insurance phones and said I would have to call the insurance company and put me on the runaround with the wrong number for the insurance carrier only to be told that information was incorrect, 2, a woman who told me she could activate my SIM card for free if I put the old card into the new phone and left me with no service on either phone for an hour, 3, an extremely rude agent who kept cutting me off when I tried to answer her questions and put me on multiple extended holds to punish me for asking her to transfer me to another agent who would actually listen when I was speaking, and 4, a man who went ahead and activated my old SIM card in my new phone and then charged me $22 for a service I already pay for because my service was shut off by support agent #2 and I had no way to activate the phone by myself- so I got to pay $22 to access a service I already pay for and for an old SIM card that I was already using. The instructions specifically say to call 611 to activate your phone, no instructions on how to activate it yourself, then they force you to pay for the service of pressing a button so you can use the service you already paid for. I got a line with metro years ago when you could get started and get a phone for free and if I had the time and the money to shop around for a better cell phone company I would. Asking someone to pay $20 to access a service they already pay $60 a month for after they just paid a $50 deductible for a new phone is ridiculous, outrageous, and greedy, and I can't find a way to leave a complaint or review with the company so I'm leaving this here. MetroPCS sucks. If you're in the market for a plan, go literally anywhere else.

I had two phones on my account and…

I had two phones on my account and wanted add another phone to call was great, received a new phone in 2 days, great again. The problem occurred when the new phone came without a sim card. Called customer service, they insisted the SIM was included. Made several calls, received several different answers, (card in the box, on the box and in the phone etc). The last rep placed me on hold at least 10 times, she stated to speak with her team. I finally asked who is your team and could I speak with them or with a supervisor. Of course no supervisor on duty. She finally said send the phone back with shipping label that was included, guess what? Didn't receive a shipping label. This is my first time dealing with customer service in the almost two years with this company. I have experienced bad customer service before, but nothing could ever compare to this experience. They do not understand certain words and cannot solve any problems. I know metro is trying to save money, but this is ridiculous and I guess they think we will eventually get use to the bad service. Customer service used to everything to companies. Transferred from AT&T to Metro, now looking for new company. That sucks

I've been a customer almost 20 years…

I've been a customer almost 20 years believe it or not now I'm going to have to say bye-bye I have been paying insurance on my phone where we used to be able and understand "I'm old but ways" I could walk into a store get my warranty pay for that and get a phone in 3 days! But known to me they have now farmed it out to an insurance company that I was unaware of but I pay Metro if I pay Metro then Metro should be taken care! But I had to deal with the insurance company now they dictate whether I'm going to get a replacement phone or not because they want me to upload personal copy data information that I don't wish to give them or anybody else! but they're collecting data on its users/customers this is wrong and unlawful under the law and they say we do this to protect you! really when you have my account info I paid the warranty for the phone you have my address but yet it's not good enough to get my warranty phone that I've paid for ! something very very wrong with this picture and it concerns me that people are giving this data to a company! It's just a phone! I just got screwed out of $$ and my rights!

Only been with Metro A week, don't trust what they say, each Rep tell you different story.
Yesterday I want to switch phone I told them don't switch if you charge $20. The Rep promise no charge fees and switched phone.
This morning, phone service is on suspension because they demand $20 switching fee 😂😆
Next time must record conversation, or they will 🤥 lie.

Got screwed over today

Got screwed over today. Paid my 60.00 bill last week an today they gonna say I owe 30.00 my life line is active. Something wrong on ur end.
90.00 for 2 lines. Considering leaving. Don't have that kinda money
Nothing wrong on my end. If I had to reapply should of gave me a proper notice not just say I owe an additional 30.00 that was my gas money for work. Smh. Way to go metro.

THEY LIED TO ME & STOLE $225!

I had used Metro PCS for over 4 years. I recently moved to my retirement home and noticed immediately that I had only one bar of 4G service at the most and many days no service at all. I went to a MetroPCS store to ask about any solutions for the problem and the store associate told me that I needed to upgrade my phone to a new 5G phone. I did this and spent $225 only to find that I still had absolutely no service. I returned to the store to ask about a refund and was told that since I upgraded my phone and plan that there are no refunds even if I have no service in my area. The associate named Raul promised me that this would take care of my problem and instead just sold me a phone and sent me out the door not really caring if it helped or not. He lied to me and stole from me. I now use Verizon.

Worst Customer Service EVER!

I recently switched my cell phone carrier to Metro PCS by T-Mobile. After using this service for a while, it became apparent to me that the service in Los Angeles was horrible. I was surprised at this because I don't live in a small town but the reception was so bad at times that people around me would have access to their phones and I did not. I called customer service and they tried to do some adjustments to my phone and ensured me that this would solve the problem, however it did not.

I called them again and told them that I wanted them to unlock my phone as I wanted to switch carriers. They told me that I could not do this until I had service with them for 180 days. I asked to speak to a supervisor who also told me the same thing. When I asked who I could talk to above them because they told me they could not do anything for me. They said that I had to write a letter. I was surprised at this because they are a phone company and I could not call to have this problem resolved, and they also advertise Internet service and I could not send an e-mail. Alas, I had to write a paper letter which I did.

Imagine my surprise a few days later when the letter came back with the wrong address. There was a yellow label from the post office that stated this. I had to write another letter and I enclosed the first letter and kept it sealed to show them what had happened. I eventually heard back from someone via email, a Senior Specialist, Team CEO.

She said to me eventually that my device was unlocked. Meaning that I was free to switch to another carrier. Last night I went to a competitor’s store. I was there for almost 3 hours due to the fact that T-Mobil’s representatives on the phone kept telling me that I could not switch. They kept giving me an 8 digit PIN number that was needed but it did not work. They gave me a second six digit code that did not work either. I spoke with five different representatives none of whom could help me. Some of them hung up, some of them the call got disconnected.

Eventually they told me that I had to be on their plan for 180 days. I tried to explain to them that I had spoken to someone in the corporate office but they dismissed her. One of them even laughed and said, “oh she's a sales representative who just gave you false information”. I explained to her that she was not a sales representative but she worked at the executive offices at the headquarters and the representative on the phone just laughed again.

I left the Metro rep a voicemail last night, November 3rd 2022. When I got up this morning I sent her an e-mail to confirm that she received it and she said yes she did and she was working on it. She gave me instructions on how to attain this number via the app on my phone but it did not work period I wrote her back to explain this and said the information that she gave me did not work. I also asked for a full refund of all monies spent over the last few months from them. She is issuing me a $40 credit and I said that is not enough. I said this has been an absolute nightmare, and I am going to forward this to the Attorney General of WA and the BBB (which I since have).

I have since been trying to reach out to her via e-mail but she is ignoring my replies. I would like to get this resolved as soon as possible I told her, but still no reply. I asked to speak to someone above her such as her supervisor or her supervisor's supervisor. Again I have not heard back from her.

However this is not the main reason that I am writing. When I was on the phone with various representatives last night one of them gave me a phone number. They said this was for another department to handle porting over of numbers. I had it on speakerphone when I called, and the agent and I were both shocked when the phone rang and was answered by a recording for a phone sex operation.

At first I thought that I wrote down the number incorrectly but a little while later the competitor’s agent had an IT representative on the phone who was trying to assist us. I had not told him about this incident with the phone number, he put us on hold, called T-Mobile and came back hysterical. He said, do you know what just happened? And I said to him, did you get a phone sex operator? And he said yes how did you know? I said because I had the same number. It was then that I realized that they were giving out a wrong number because I can’t imagine that 2 separate people talking with 2 separate T-Mobile operators could have written down the SAME wrong number.

Today I called that number and it was advertising a medical device alert system. Later in the evening, I called again and got the same sex phone operation. I don't know what is going on, but I was appalled and shocked because I thought of all of the minors that could possibly have been given this number and reached a phone sex operator.
