As a woman of color myself, I want nothing more than to support this black owned business. But my recent experience with their deplorable customer service and defective products, leaves me with no other choice than to report them to my credit card to cancel payment and the Better Business Bureau. My mother-in-law gifted me a generous digital gift card for my birthday. The gift card was never delivered and after over a month with no response from Mented after multiple emails, they finally responded with no explanation and simply resent it with no apparent issue. Put off by that experience, I reluctantly ordered products from the site. I was excited to receive them but once delivered, the foundation stick was broken and melted. I emailed customer service multiple times to request a replacement with no response. The issue is still outstanding. They should be ashamed of the way this company is being managed. The quality of the products is undermined by the poor business acumen and lack of simple responsive customer service. I will never order from them again and will encourage my friends and family to avoid them as well.

Reached out multiple times by email, text and social media to exchange a product they recommended but never got a response. Customer service is nonexistent.

I've used Mented for 4 years, and it is my go-to cosmetic line. The foundations, eyeshadows, and lippies are spot on. They keep you looking flawless with little effort.

I was excited about my first purchase. Unfortunately, the package was lost for a few days, but was scanned as delivered. I could only reach customer service by text and email. No real response, so I was becoming frustrated. Finally, a warehouse employee contacted Amanda for me, relaying my problem and need to speak to someone employed by Mented. Amanda said I did not need her number, someone would look into the problem and eventually get back to me. USPS is whole, their shipping was paid, Mented is whole, I paid them for their product, only I was left with no product and minus the total cost and shipping. Eventually carrier found package, but Amanda’s words left me not feeling valued as a customer.

Mented is an awesome for people of color. They are available to answer your questions and respond with in a day. I definitely and strongly recommend Mented.

This is one of my favorite places to shop for beauty products. This company is for people of color (POC), and it's all about natural/nude makeup. They have a plethora of lipsticks in matte or semi-matte, lip gloss, blush, powder, etc. they carry only one eye palette, and it is for natural and everyday looks. The best product they have would be their foundation/shade sticks! They have an impressive shade range, and everybody needs to know about this site. The only downside to mented cosmetics is I wish they had more products! I have gotten just about every single thing I can, and I want to buy more like a crazy person. The packages always come looking great, their customer service is easy to deal with, and I've never had any problems with the shipment of products. They forgot to put lip gloss in one of my orders, but I called, and they sent out a replacement immediately with no hassle at all. Customer service was friendly and professional. The products can't be beat though. It is where I go when I want that natural look. It's also cool that you can use their shade sticks as contour and concealer, and they have a handy guide to tell you which shade to buy for each necessity. Honestly, mented cosmetics is the best place to shop for natural beauty looks if you are a POC. I highly recommend!
