To say selling a property is stressful is an understatement but with Manning Stainton the whole process was made as easy as it possible could be for me.
Starting with Lesley and then Natalie and Danielle the whole thing from start to finish was a fantastic service from dedicated, professional and friendly people.
Not being in the area when my property was being sold made it even more concerning and worrying for me but i was put at ease by the staff with clear and direct communication on any issues that seemed to come up.

I recently sold my property through Manning Stainton, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. From my very first meeting with Lesley at the valuation, I felt completely at ease. She was warm, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable — I knew right away that I would be in safe hands.

Throughout the viewings stage, I was mainly looked after by Dale, who was also absolutely lovely to deal with. I had previously listed my property with another local estate agent and, over the course of three months, only had one viewing booked with them. In complete contrast, Manning Stainton generated a steady stream of viewings from the moment my property went live. They would also keep jn touch with regular updates and advice.

Once an offer had been made and accepted, I was supported by Danielle and Tyler. They were kind, professional and extremely helpful. I faced several challenges and frustrations with my conveyancer, and they guided me through every step, keeping me updated not only on my own sale but on progress across the rest of the chain. They genuinely did everything they could to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. They also escalated any concerns I had regarding my conveyancer to their team that managed their panel of conveyancers, which helped things along.

I am genuinely pleased that I chose Manning Stainton. Their communication, professionalism and support were outstanding, and I’m very happy to have successfully sold my home with them. Highly recommended!

The only other thing to note, which is nothing to do with the service offered by Manning Stainton, is that I had a terrible experience with the conveyancers that MS recommend. I don’t think this is the norm, as the reviews the conveyancer have are mostly positive, but I would not recommend their conveyancers based on my experience.

The staff were great, they kept me updated throughout the sale of my house. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone wanting to sell their home.

Fantastic to deal with throughout the whole process. Our Move Manager Joanne Williams was always happy to help with any queries we had. She regularly kept in touch with both our solicitors and the sellers’ solicitors and made sure we were well informed. I would highly recommend Manning Stainton.

I sold an apartment recently, I accepted an offer in February & the whole sale process did not complete till November, yes I understand leasehold does take longer due to other agencies involved, however it should have been completed much earlier. Also what did not help was the buyers solicitor was woeful , sat on files for weeks on end & no one could get hold of them to speed up the process. Although my legal team worked hard to get issues resolved , overall I would be lying if I said I weren’t disappointed with the length of time it took from the offer to completion.

The team in the Crossgates office were exceptionally efficient in their role and always a pleasure to deal with in particular Natalie who kept us updated every step. We opted for assisted viewing (he was fantastic - thank you) and would highly recommend this service, times were arranged that were suitable for us and our property was treated with respect. We sold within 3 weeks I believe due to the way the property was marketed.
The reason for the low rating is caused by their conveyancing department - very poor recommendation of solicitors to use from their panel which caused unnecessary delays, major stress and nearly resulted in the short chain collapsing and is having to agree to only 6 days notice to exchange & complete - they also were not clear on why they wanted and debited £50 to open the file when we were then asked for more money to open the file from solicitors - I was given several differing reasons and then refunded the £50 - they were evasive , combative, argumentative and totally unprofessional -(I kept the emails) if a mistake had been made fair enough just accept it instead of making it worse and breeding mistrust - the comment of don’t worry about it, it will get knocked off the bill at the end is not helpful - people have a right to know who, what and why they are paying someone with complete transparency.
