Lily O'Brien's Chocolates started life as the brainchild of Mary Ann O'Brien who, having recovered from a debilitating illness in the early 1990s, discovered her true passion for all things chocolate. Embarking on a journey of discovery, Mary Ann honed her chocolate-making skills among world class chefs and chocolatiers in both South Africa and Europe before starting her own mini enterprise from her Kildare kitchen in 1992. With little more than two saucepans, a wooden spoon and her then toddler, Lily, acting as production manager Mary Ann began to create high quality chocolate recipes for friends and family. Not satisfied with the scale of her enterprise she soon expanded in the hope of positioning excellent Irish chocolate on the world map. Naming the company after her daughter Lily seemed like the most natural thing to do at the time and since then Lily O'Brien's chocolates has established itself as one of Ireland's best-loved chocolatiers. With Mary Ann still at the helm of the business, the passion that first inspired her chocolate honeycomb hedgehogs is still present in every aspect of the business and family values remain at the very core of Lily O'Brien's. Based in the heart of Co. Kildare, Mary Ann and her team continue to develop mouth-watering chocolate creations using the finest quality ingredients.

Very nice chocolates but wait for delivery far too long
Lily O'Brien's chocolates are very good. But the delivery time was way too slow. I ordered online as I didn't have access to buy them anywhere locally as I live in a more remote location. Delivery was estimated 3-5 days but it took nearly a month for them to arrive. Despite a .co.uk website the delivery was from Ireland and thanks, I guess, to the 'joy's of Brexit the delivery took weeks. One of the items was a birthday present which ended up being a much belated present. If you can buy Lily O'Brien's chocolates from a shop I highly recommend them, but my single experience of an online order puts me off trying this route again.

Unfortunately, while we try our very best to ensure orders are delivered within the estimated delivery timelines, delays can occur during high volumes periods such as Easter & Christmas which are beyond our control.
Orders shipping to the UK may experience customs delays on certain products which can extend delivery timelines.

I rang up to order and the service I got was excellent. The girl I spoke with was so helpful, and very polite and patient. I will have no hesitation ordering again. So far my order has not been delivered but I have been assured it is on route.

Great Service and Chocolates
I have been ordering chocolates from them for about 3 months, the service and delivery is excellent, cannot fault it, chocolates are amazing too, i try and buy in bulk so it lasts me a month, even used them on my slimming world diet,

Disappointing but now rectified
Placed order on 26 November and was advised shipment on way on 27 November. Sent 2 emails yesterday one to feedback and one to customer service. Also tried to phone and message came up unable to connect your call please try again later. Tried 4times. These were for a birthday present this Friday so very disappointed. The tracking has just shown awaiting package and is still showing that today.
Customer service have been in touch with apologies for non receipt and have very kindly sent new order with a different courier. Very good when a company sorts things so quickly.

Too long to arrive
I have purchased these chocolates many times and have never had any problems with the product or the way they are carefully packaged.The chocolates are delicious but the time it takes for them to arrive is ridiculous.I ordered them on them 18th of November and they didn't arrive until the 1st of December.I was beginning to think they would never come.

Chox good - Delivery Awful
I know the chocolates are fabulous - BUT delivery is atrocious! Ordered box on 10th Nov for a birthday on 18th. First delivery went missing, second dispatch via DHL Express was due to be delivered Thurs/Fri this week, been informed by DHL now not till Monday. Thats exactly 2 WEEKS since I placed the order and totally missed the birthday for which it wasto be a present. Dont rely on their delivery, go buy them in a Supermarket and send them yourself.
