This company asks for your bank account info including your password to access and withdrawl your money. They do not need your password. This company is a joke. Do not do business with them unless you are looking to hit rock bottom financially.

About one week ago, I received a call from someone claiming that they were calling from LightStream Finance telling me that I was eligible for a loan. Believing that this was a legitimate company with a legitimate application process, personal and banking information was taken over the phone. Afterwards, I was told to input information into the bank verification portal that was accessed via a link that was emailed to me. on the portal, I provided my name, social security number and phone number, the name of my financial institution, the user name and password to the mobile application. I was also told by this gentleman that a small amount would be deposited into the account to verify the account and that I had to go send it back. I was also told that by doing this, this would increase my credit score. Well, the amounts deposited into my account were returned back via making payments at Walmart off of my debit card. I was informed by one of my creditors that a payment made three months ago was reversed, and it was then that I discovered that several payments taken out of my checking account were reversed. On top of that, two checks were deposited into my account that turned out to be fraudulent and a third check is being held for a week by the bank for verification. The fraud was reported to my bank and my local law enforcement agency. The bank tells me I am on the hook for nearly $1000 from the fraudulent checks and how I have to go back to those I paid bills to out of my account and explain the fraud and I have put in a complaint to federal agencies as well.
Beware of those purporting to work for this company.

Absolutely a waste of time. My credit over 800, solid income, 2 mortgages paid off on credit and yet still they declined with 0 reasons. I am ideal applicant that a bank wish to have all day long for a loan. I was able to get approval with 2 other lenders same day without any issues. Very disappointed.

Don’t ever use lightstream. They don’t do soft pulls to see if your qualify first and they don’t automatically offer lower amounts for what they can approve you for. In addition after they denied me twice since I lowered my requested amount to half. I was immediately approved by SoFi for a large amount. What did SoFi see that LightStream didn’t?

I bought a new car and paid off this loan. My payments to them were at the beginning of every month. This company took out a payment on the day the loan with them settled in the middle of the month, two weeks before my scheduled payment. Then they took out ANOTHER payment the beginning of the next month. When I called and asked them to stop making payments I was told it was their policy to get a stop order from me (BS) and that it would take ten business days before they issued a refund check. This is all about them getting interest off of my money. They STOLE my money is what it amounts to, then they expect me to come after them to get it back. Totally scammy, bad banking behavior.

I was instantly approved for a 22,000 personal loan. I called them the next day cuz I accidentally picked the wrong loan type , I was told to submit a new application and it would be fine… well I did that and then they contacted me wanted all this information that they didn’t ask when I was already approved for the money…they wanted my bank statements , w-2’s,tax returns, etc. I told them , I’m not buying a dang house, it’s a personal loan , you don’t need all that. My credit score is 772 and I already have a loan with y’all with perfect payment history. I sent them my proof of income and bank statements , then was denied , their reasoning was they could only verify half of my income 😂😂😂. What a joke ! We own a business , and my bank statements clearly show our income .

Application was easy but they moved the date they paid me after we agreed on a day. They don't do same day payments. It can take 4 days for them to receive your payment. What bank can't take an electronic payment in a day or 2? I could send a check in the mail at that speed.

I was looking for an online loan when I got a call from this company. I had to give them my routing & account number so they could make a deposit, he told me his manager would call me in 30 min, call never came so I called the number that he called me from, it was already disconnected. On my way to close my account & open a new one. Minto Money & WithU Loans are good. They do a deposit the same day & deduct from your account on payday & their customer service are great to work with. If you're in a pinch, both are great. I've borrowed $200 to $800 with no problems at all.

Customer service? Hah! Wait times are 24 hours. Really? Call backs don't happen. Frustrating company.

I looked at the reviews for light stream I thought that was fishy that they were going to put money in my account. That is what All Day Loans did and then you pay them back with 2100 dollars in gift cards
I won’t answer the phone . I told them to cancel the loan. I also changed username and password

They are scammers. The same story as the others below. I needed an emergency loan and trusted them. They were foreign, sounded Indian. When I caught on they then told me that I didn’t get a loan deposit because they had a power outage and they would finish tomorrow. Tomorrow came and they had put more money in my account for a fee to return to them through Apple. When I said no he got mad and threatened me and said my account would go severely negative. Then screamed go get the card and hung up on me. I didn’t go and he started texting and calling. I ignored all communication. I too should have followed mine when I thought it was suspicious to have to go and send money back to them for an “ insurance fee”. They got me good and then I noticed on my account they had filled false fraud claims on my account to get more money refund for them to steal. My bank handled the issues and I’m hoping nothing else goes wrong. Please BEWARE!! DO NOT TRUST THEM!

I should’ve followed my first mind when I straight out asked him was it a scam!! It indeed was/is a scam!! I should’ve stopped then but my dumb ssa didn’t! They have all of my information and are very petty and childish!! They’re foreigners that will pretend to be someone else but it’ll be the same person you previously talked to! They’re slick! They are very rude and will threaten you! They target desperate people. Now my account is locked and idk what’s to come tomorrow. UGHHHH:( They will deposit a certain amount of money into your account and then ask for a portion of it back through CashApp or Apple Pay because it’s an “insurance fee”, whatever TF that means. When I didn’t know how to send it back through Apple Pay that’s when he flipped his sh**!! Got mad and threatened me then hung up! Then some “manager” guy texted me threatening to send the police and everything else!! At that point I told him to cancel the loan and leave me alone! I couldn’t send it back if I wanted to because the WHOLE TIME MY ACCOUNT GOT LOCKED!! I didn’t even know until I was trying to order something and it was declined, although I had MY money in there. I can’t do anything now. So now I have to wait until tomorrow which is Monday to contact my bank to see what the next steps will be!! This happened yesterday which was Sat, but I started the “loan” on Friday. PLEASE BE AWARE, DO NOT APPLY!! PLEASE DON’T!

I recently applied for a loan with Lightstream, expecting a smooth and fair process based on their advertised promises. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. After submitting my application, they conducted a hard credit inquiry which negatively impacted my credit score. To make matters worse, I was ultimately rejected for the loan.The inconvenience and frustration of having my credit score affected without any benefit cannot be overstated. Applying for a loan should not come with such significant drawbacks, especially when there is no clear advantage gained. To add to my frustration, I was approved by a couple of other lenders right away after this bad experience, which makes Lightstream's handling of my application even more disappointing.I hope Lightstream takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their process to ensure that potential customers do not face similar issues in the future.

I have applied for multiple loans from Lightstream throughout the years, with every application resulting in a decline. I have top tier credit and employment history and plenty of assets, I believe this is now discrimination and violates regulation B of the ECOA. If you look at the reviews online, this seems to be happening to more and more people. If this happens to you I HIGHLY recommend filing an online complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, FDIC, and your states attorney generals office. I believe lenders like these should be held accountable for their actions.

One of the worst lender and crappy experience. Tried two times and always the same crappy experience. They are very consistent in that. They always pull hard credit as opposed to soft pull just to review and then ask for all documents, income info etc and then reject with no apparent reason. The loan was rejected for the credit score of 780 and income of $300K Dont waste your time and damage your credit report.

I have excellent credit and never been late on any of my payments.That didn't matter and you offered me credit card interest on a personal loan. Just because everyone is offering high rates right now doesn't mean you should take advantage of your loyal customers. I expected better from you.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! In my 40 years working in the credit card business I have never conducted business with a company whose empathy, service and willingness to help their customers is as poor as this company’s. I have two loans through their company (LightStream) and have been a good customer. On a single occasion one of my payments was 30 days past due as the result of a very temporary financial hardship. I have pleaded with the company, requesting a good faith adjustment to my credit bureau erasing the 30 day delinquency in all occasions I was refused even though I provided documentation of the hardship. Every bank I’ve worked for has an internal policy that deletes derogatory information on a goodwill request to the credit bureaus EXCEPT FOR TRUIST. This company is shameless and insensitive. As a result of this 30 day past due record my credit score I have suffered and am unable to get a home loan as a result.

If I could put zero stars i would. A complete scam. Recieved a call stating i had been approved for $5 000. Was asked to verify my info. Long story short, i was scamned out if $1200. Had to close my bank account and open up another one. Oh and the kicker is, I have to pay the money back.

Don't use these people. I have a credit score over 750 and a perfect credit payment history. They consistently WASTE an inquiry on my credit report, never approve loans, so I am not sure what they are doing with such deceptive advertising -----I've owned homes, and even had a personal loan with them before, perfect history, paid off early. I hope they go out of business.

So, not to blurt my information out there, but Light Stream is beyond hilarious when it boils down to claiming I have insufficient income, when I make well over 75k a year and my wife makes 45k a year. We have a lot of our debts paid in full and my monthly take home alone is over $6500.00 a month and add my wife into the picture we clear $8400.00 a month.

Light Stream is beyond low ridiculous and as they denied me Lyon Financial approved me! Wow how backwards right... I attempted to search for a number to verbally speak with this negligent business, but of course not a single number available, but just an email.

Yeah glad I was denied by them, look at it now in how unprofessional they are. Lyon Financial actually called me to verify income, current debts if any, and etc, but this business not a single call or an email to verify anything.
