Horrible company . Not helpful. Waste of time

We have used them several times for emergency home repairs. Their rates are pretty good for personal loans. I like having options to spread out our payments over our chosen time period to fit our budget. Be careful what site you go to! I was once directed to a site that was close, but not exact.

Their email customer service is QUICK and their phone customer service is also just as great!

They have never contacted me to send money back and forth. They just put the loan money in my account and I make auto payments.

Got a call from lightstream loan saying that I was approved for a loan from 2K to 10K. I have no credit score and no credit yet they approved me I was surprised. They then wanted me to accept a partial deposit and then immediately send it back to them after which they would deposit the full amount of my loan. When I asked why he said that is just the way we do things to authenticate your account and I said that you can do that with the routing number and the bank account number! He then told me that I would have to provide my online banking ID and password for further authentication. Full on scam don't fall for this one they'll get you where it hurts right in the wallet!! A disgusting display of this fake company fraudulently trying to screw those of us who desperately need the money. I even researched online about this company and everything looked right. These people are pros and they're out to get you and your money! Run run away as fast as you can and report them ASAP! I can't believe that this sort of fraud has not been eradicated from the internet platform for loans. No one should ask for your password or user ID on your bank account not even your own bank!!

I am not sure if this is a scam or not. They told me I had to sent money back. I gave them my bank info and I had a whole bunch of things that I didn’t authorize them to do. I change all my banking info. Not sure what long term damage I may have cause myself.

This is 100% a scam. They call me back asking to pay them with a target gift card. They have screwed me!!! RUN!!!. DONT DO GIVE THEM ANYTHING!!!!

I want to say thank to everyone who wrote a review straight scam they filed a claim on my banking account and if I didn’t catch it I would have been in hole for $1,260.00

Im not sure if this is legit but I received a text stating Iwas eligible for up to $10,000. I called them and somehow they already had all my personal information including bank. I continued with the paperwork. They said they would deposit a verification amount and I needed to send it back in order to get the regular deposit the next day. Afterwards something didn't set right with me so I went into my personal banking and changed my login information. I tried calling the number back but no one answered. I believe now that this is a scam and I am so glad I went in and changed my info.

Incredibly disturbing business model. They are definitely seeking individuals with poor credit scores. They are hoping to 'trick' people who are fiscally irresponsible into a bad contract and a bad loan. Do not work with this company. If an auto dealer is trying to get you to work with this company, they are trying to take advantage of you. Walk away from the car with the price that is too good to be true. It is.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! If I can go lower I would this company should have no stars my credit is way over 790 and I still got denied after running a hard credit inquiry makes no sense. This company has no number and is not helpful in any way! PLEASE STAY AWAY AND GO WITH SOFI INSTEAD!!!!

I jumped through all their online hoops and they gave me an offer online but then said they would do a hard credit inquiry to confirm. So after screwing my credit score with the hard inquiry they denied my loan. Stay Away From Lightstream!!!!!!!!!

They add hard inquiries on you and denied your each and every loan request on heart beat.

They turned me down even my Score is over 760. They got to be Bankrupt sooner than later and I will pray for it.

I applied for a debt consolidation loan through this company. They came back with too much debt to income even though it’s a debt consolidation loan. The funds would literally go to pay off this debt and actually save over $900 a month by doing so. I’ve never been late on a payment and I have a credit score of 797. So all they really did was Lure me in with a good looking interest rate do a hard pour my credit was dropped my credit score by appoint and stays on there for a couple years and then they claim you for too much debt to income. That makes zero sense. There’s no customer service phone number no real person to talk to you. Don’t trust this company.

I used to like using this company.
Had 2 previous loans with them-one for a boat ($25,000) and another for personal use ($12,000). Paid these off early and always on time. I wanted to get a townhome rental renovation loan of $15,000 which I applied for on 9/12/22 and expected to be immediately approved. My credit score is 821, I have real estate assets well over $2,000,000, yearly income just myself (my wife excluded) of over $190,000.
Imagine my shock when I was declined for a loan.
I called them up and asked them to explain why. They said my balances (which all of mortgage related) was too high, etc. Really? I explained that all of my mortgages are jointly owned with my wife and that this townhome rental renovation I wanted to do was mine only, so that's why I was applying as an individual.
They said they would review the application again.
30 minutes later they sent me another decline email.
Unbelievable.
I went to another financial company later that afternoon and had the money approved within 5 minutes.
If I can't get approved for a $15,000 loan based on my worth, credit score and previous history with them then they should just go out of business.
Their loss . . . . .

Just don’t. Report any lending tree lending club and lights stream emails saying you’re approved. Idk if the real lightstream is legit with how difficult it was to dictate if I was possibly exposed to a scam. Smh

they lie to you and make you get the creator version to stream but i dont know if it actually lets you stream because im tryna refund this garbage fk you lightstream

Hard inquiry just to be denied. Credit score 700+, previous loans all paid on time. Don’t risk putting your info into this company. Just added a freeze to all my bureaus because it feels like I got scammed for info

I wish I would have read the reviews first. The company is a joke or a scam. The loan I applied for could have been paid off within just a few months. Excellent credit. Denied me because of things like too many credit accounts. Guess having one credit card with a few hundred dollars on it is too much. I think they are looking for people with bad credit thinking maybe they can take advantage of them.

This company is a joke. I applied for a loan for $65,000. Had over $125k in my checking account and I have an 827 credit score with over $120,000 credit line and I own a business. What's funny is I was approved for a $162,000 business loan 6 weeks ago with no issues. They denied me because i have an open mortgage thats I've been paying on for 10 years and never missed a payment. No kidding pal. Its ok because im disputing this hard inquiry and taking my business. I can buy the car cash if I want to but they left a bad taste in my mouth. Im sure another lender will have no problem approving me. I guess Lightstream dont want my business that bad.

I need to know if this is a scam because they sent money to my account and want me to send it back for verification before I can get my loan of $2000

Honestly I found this company through my job. Everything was online and quick. No need to deal with any customer support. I submitted everything that was needed and got approved for my loan with the lowest interest rate that I was hoping for (I have really excellent credit). I couldn’t be more happy with how quick and seem less and affordable this process was for me. I’m glad I went with it despite reading these reviews. I think people are confused with this company and some scam that reaches out to them. If you want a good company that is able to have lower rates because things are more automative then this is a company for you.
