Like other reviews, I'd give this useless bunch a negative star rating if I could.
Absolutely ridiculous paper trail and hoop jumping just to get hold of MY money ! It would appear that the "admin team" are the key players here who periodically send out the same emails asking for discharge forms to be completed even when I have already sent them in - twice.
If you call the - what i assume is the customer service number - they dont have visibility of the forms I have already sent back in. They then blag me by saying they will escalate it for me.....nothing came from that. I ask to be put through to the admin team but they "dont take calls". How convenient. It took me about five minutes to get the team leader's name after being told that the CS team leader was on a call. Fine.....okay then, Ms Customer Service person you can continue to cop for my frustration.

If you are wondering whether to use this company then please DON'T !!!! My employer chose them years ago and call me paranoid but I am really getting the feeling that they actively discourage you to get hold of your money by sending you on a paper trail merry-go-round hoping you will give up.

I have a LifeSight DC pension they do not gross up the 20% HMRC pension tax allowance, so you have to claim it back through the following year HMRC tax return. Then they will not allow you to pay it into your LifeSight pension account. Which they have not stipulated at commencement when my company transferred their pension responsibilities to them. This is not stated in the LifeSight master trust scheme rules. there is no valid Pension legislation reason why you can not continue to make AVC's into your pension plan. they just put obstacles in the way, and make up rules to please them self. I anticipate there reason is based on cost of auctorial calculations and admin costs but they are not being Open, Honest, and not delivering against there web site statement " As a member of LifeSight, we will support you every step of the way to save for the lifestyle you want in retirement"

Moving a pension away from these people is impossible. I have consolidated 8 pensions and this is the last one but it is by far the most pathetic. The process is so slow, tons of uneeded paperwork and lots of obstacles. With today's technology this is ridiculous. After working in pensions I'm glad I never had anything to do with WTW. They are stuck in the 90s.

Can't wait to get away from them!

Terrible experience trying to move my old WTW pension to a new provider. They put every road block in the way to make this as difficult process for me to do, requiring all sorts of incredibly awkward paperwork to justify a simple transfer to a mainstream provider (L&G) , in the end I gave up, how this is legal is mind blowing. The voice recognition on their help line is terrible, and when you finally get through to a member of staff they sound like they've just been shouted at in their the last 5 interactions so you have to deal with some rather shocking 'sass' from the get go.

The entire company is rubbish; it seems designed to stop you transferring out; they take ages, don't accept forms they have received from the scheme you are transferring into. I cannot describe the contempt I have for the jobsworths that manage the company and the labyrinthine processes and paper forms from a previous century that they make you fill out so they can stop you transferring out.

I finally managed to get my pension forms filled in and sent off,

Bit of a shame I didn't receive any correspondence in December 2024,I was emailed on a old email address so would have rather been sent this by post.

Really poor for what was expected to be a quick transfer to a Hargreaves Landsdown SIPP.

Hiding behind the same forms and queries and dragging this out longer than required.

Already said it's a SIPP and they are asking the same queries about which scheme it's going to

Asked to transfer pension, they delay and state not enough funds in the account I have attempted for 4 years to take my pension, work on old system

Seem to be a good example of the rottenness of the corporate world - they serve themselves by hiding behind an email address with no contact phone number or guide to tracking down your pension.

3 times i have called this company as well as Life sight, no comms from either, i have a pension but need to amend and they not performing, i shall write a bad review every day till i get and answer, i get told someone will call.... ummm my pension yet they cant sort it out

Everytime you send an email you get told it will be 10 working days for a reply which would be ok if that intial 10 days then opened an ongoing dialogue

No .. they respond we want this for security .. you send it that resets the 10 day clock
Then they respond again with another question which resets the clock when you respond

You cant talk to anyone except the helpdesk who like the phrase 10 working days.

The website is ridiculous. Unable to look for what you need. Internet says easy to manage your account, withdraw. Update details etc.
What an absolute joke. Cannot navigate to what you need.

Worst pension provider ever. Requested transfer out in October, now we are in March, still on going. I have to chase/call every week/day to get the things done. Every time they made up another excuse to not to complete my request. I would give them zero star if I can.

The LifeSight company should change it's name to LIE SIGHT as every person I have spoken to since August have blatantly lied. I am visually impaired and ask for quotation values to be sent in large print, was promised it 5 times and only when I complained, did I get it, then asked for a claim form in large print and four people promised to send it, one person told me she was sending it by Registered Post, None of which turned up. It is just a company with no integrity or moral fibre. Legal action will be my next step

I have had a similar experience, was due to take lump sum/pension early January. All paperwork sent and emails received from wtw acknowledging and confirming that they would contact nearer to my 60th birthday to confirm payment of my pension benefits. I contacted them early Jan 25 and was told that my lump sum would be paid between 6am and 2pm on my 60th birthday=nothing, rang them again and got a different answer saying delay due to government legislation??? and would paid within two days, again nothing materialised, rang again and was told that it was all with admin and will take 1-2 weeks. So have spoken to 3 people all saying different things. Fired off email not optimistic will make any difference but think will have to go down the complaint route. Shocking customer service. It seems that they do want to hang on to your money and not pay.

If you have a pension with them I would advise start now to move it, worst pension company I am trying to deal with, luck has it it is only a small pension, otherwise I could be struggling, if they held my higher pensions.

Willis Towers Watson are the administrators of my NatWest pension, part of which I claimed as a lump sum funded by a couple of AVCs with NatWest. I made my pension application to WTW in April 2024 to commence on 1st June 2024. I received my lump sum in August 2024 but I have yet to receive the correct amount of my monthly pension payments. Throughout this matter, I experienced poor administration, terrible communication and avoidable delays that caused me financial difficulties. Emails were not replied to or promised call backs made by senior members of the team at WTW. The delay of 10 days to send out a letter of confirmation was just inexplicable. I eventually got some response from WTW by emailing the CEO of NatWest Bank (copying in WTW) and complaining that WTW's administration of staff pensions on the Bank's behalf is so poor as to constitute a reputational risk to the Bank.

Unsure when or if I will get any of my pension paid to me, this company are shocking, when you phone they will tell you they will look into your concerns and call you back…they don’t.

I will leave this to the FOS to sort but no doubt this is months not weeks.

they wrote to my husband saying he was owed money from 40 years. Trying to jump through all the hoops they put youn through is a nightmare!!! phoned again 5th time and told all OK would paid in a week.Last night got a email saying they wanted his birth certificare which was lost 30 years ago but as we had sent passport and driving licience utillity bills that thas was fine.Surely this company needs to be investigated they are a law unto themselves.will be contacting ombudsman and reassure,Just showed my letter from wtw to a barrister friend , nowhere does it list your birth certificate only passport even 2 years out of date or driving licience. Will not stand up in court.

Have been trying to transfer from lifesight to another reputable pension provider.

Three months later and many forms later, not a snipping of light at the end of the tunnel.

As a differed member of an occupational pension scheme I am unable to provide a long list of information from 21 years ago.

God give me strength, going to pull the lot and take the hit on tax.

Have to be the most awkward, controlling pension provider one could ever wish to meet.

AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!!!
