I completed the C1 English training course and was given a B1 certificate; they said that’s what they see in the system and that they definitely did not issue a C1 certificate. It’s a lie, good-for-nothing company.
When I started - over 13 years ago the company was different. Slowly over time they wittled away any and all trainer support. Their pay was always ridiculously low. Bonuses disappeared, their platform was ridiculously bloated and painfully slow for 2026. When I mentioned this a couple years back I was told the problem was on my end - I needed to clear my cache 😂. Trainer support that I started with long ago dried up. People I had been on first name basis with became randos under "trainer support" they removed kpis so you could no longer monitor them and just trust the randos were honest when there was on issue. Rupert is too busy trying to be an 'influencer' is going to networking events, being photographed gladhanding people, posting his big adventures on learnlight social media totally checked out on how the actual face of his sweatshop - the trainers - were doing. I hope the rumors of the company crumbling are true.
I had worked for Learnlight for 6 years, it was one of the best companies I worked for as a freelance language tutor. It was my main source of income until I got very seriously ill and had to be put on temporary leave of absence. However, what I did not know is that they had actually terminated my contract as soon as I was unable to provide lessons for my students. I was in a coma for a week and another week in intensive care fighting for my life and I spent another 4 weeks on a normal ward. I was in touch with Learnlight, they were aware of my situation and told me that I could come back when I had recovered. I decided to return a month after I was discharged from hospital. That's when they told me that my contract had been terminated in July and I lost my main source of income at a moment's notice! I think that is a disgusting way to treat a dedicated, hard working, capable and talented tutor who has worked hard for the company! The situation caused me an enormous amount of distress and has set my recovery back!

We would like to clarify a few points to ensure the situation is accurately represented. During your period of absence, your learners were reassigned to other trainers, as we could not leave them without lessons. As you had not been actively providing services since the end of July, the freelance service agreement in place at that time was therefore concluded.
When you contacted us again, we explained that the decision was not related in any way to your illness, but to operational and client-demand considerations. At that moment, we did not have active requests for German lessons that could be offered. As communicated, should suitable opportunities arise in the future, our recruitment and coordination teams would reach out and a new agreement would be considered.
We understand how distressing this situation felt, and we regret the impact it had on you. We sincerely thank you for the services you provided over the years and wish you all the best in your continued recovery and professional journey.

Proper and timely feedback should be normal for such a company but it isn't. People do not keep their promises. Bad handover in case of trainer's change. Trainer may change suddenly (freelancers), no information by Learnlight but only on inquiry
I applied for a post of online ESL trainer.
After 2 weeks of a full time training aimed to teach me how to use their platform and their teaching method ( which was nothing knew to me as I have more than 15 years of teaching experience ), I had the Dry Run Session which, according to the verbal feedback I was given went well.
Nevertheless, the day after, instead of receiving the contract letter to sign etc. I am told that I am not being hired. The reasons given completely deny what I was told during the Feedback Session and how I proved to be able to use their platform. No explanation has been given to me.During the weeks of the training I have been working hard for more than 25 hours without any pay or rewards !
