After having some niggling issues with my xc60 from new this dealers staff were nice and polite but never got the issues solved until after a few visits and days off work for the same issue a few times ......so learned quickly that they were so unprofesional at there job.
You have to talk tough to leave that place with your sanity intact , the latest fault i had was with the parking sensors, took it to dundee volvo and was told the rear sensor was faulty and would be covered on the waranty, the front one was faulty also but was not covered on waranty as it had impact damage on it and this would cost around £300 , i asked the tech to show me the damage and we could not see any resonable damage anywhere together so iasked management to check also and nothing there ? they said they will take photos and send to volvo waranty to decide and would call me back ? as the tech is trained and his judgement is acurate ?
No phone call at all so i complained to volvo,
Took the car to volvo aberdeen dealer where i pass every day going to work ,the same john clark volvo etc,
Booked it in for faults and was told it was wiring issue not the sensor, booked in again to repair the wiring loom issue and resolved the problem....not a word about any costs as it was a waranty fault,
So dundee dealer rubbish and very angry customer at the level of stupidity and disrespectful of my inteligence shown to me ,
So Aberdeen dealer very good and professional and very happy customer at the level of standard and communication shown to me .
Never will go back to dundee dealer again....muppets

I had purchased a 2022 Volvo V60 Diesel form John Clark Volvo. I had travelled a far way to collect the vehicle from the east midlands. When I landed at Edinburgh Airport I was informed there was damage to the back of my vehicle. And they gave a set amount to repair it. However, the amount that they allocated to repair it isn't enough to repair it. They are very slow in terms of replying. Vehicle has scratches on the windscreen which is visible also. Would not purchase another vehicle from John Clark Volvo.

I put my XC40 Volvo in to repair a badly sealed front window. The car was initially in for an inspection and then for the actual required work. Throughout both visits I was regularly kept up to date with the progress of the work. I had bought the car from another Volvo garage which needed Finlay "Mitch" Mitchell making numerous calls to ensure the work could be done.
Without his perseverance, I would definitely have been without my own car for days. Thank You Finlay for going that extra mile.

From the moment of dropping my car at John Clark Volvo Dundee for it’s annual service,being chauffeured to the city and back, car handed back after service and being washed, everything was perfect. First class service at John Clark Volvo Dundee.

We had rather an unhappy beginning to our car buying with problems which took some time to resolve. I am happy to report that the problems have been taken care of to our satisfaction

13 April 2025... Went into Volvo to look for a secondhand XC40, did a test drive put a deposit down.
Got home spoke to the wife, I told her we should wait a month when we are in a better position to buy. Went back into the dealership and asked for my deposit back (14 April 2025) Was told it would take three to five working days, granted it was easter weekend so I waited two weeks. I emailed the salesman who i did the deal with asking about the deposit, no reply. Waited another week and called, was told it was in process getting done. Ended up calling headoffice accounts, don't not accept external calls.
Now I have asked my card company to deal with this..Its a month past, not buying a car from this monkey outfit. 16 May 2025

First time using JC Motor Group but it won't be the last. Ordered a part which seemed quite rare as JC were the only place showing it readily available. Received a really nice e-mail from Shirley saying it was ordered and asking for a quick line when it was delivered to make sure I got it in good time.
Hopefully I won't need many parts but JC will be my first stop if I do.
Quick update to the above review. Item arrived well within specified delivery schedule. Item was very well packed, arrived in original Volvo packaging and in perfect condition.

I recently bought parts from John Clark Volvo Dundee, and the website was simple to use. Shirley from parts kept me updated, and the delivery was quick. Overall, a decent experience but nothing outstanding. Would consider returning for future purchases, though there’s room for improvement in creating a memorable experience.

I ordered a part for my Volvo incorrectly Shirley in On Line Parts Dept picked up my error and immediately contacted me offering to change it for the correct part, well spotted, great service. The notified me when the part had been despatched. Very courteous and helpful throughout, great credit to the company whom I will always use in future for Volvo parts

Exceptional service from Shirley Long in the Parts Department to get a drivers door lock part delivered to us in Shropshire within a few days of ordering it.
Then today, Shirley helped out with a further parts query to help keep our 9 year old Volvo going for a few more miles/years. Many thanks Shirley.

Although this is for my workhorse XC60 I do like to try and keep it in good condition. The flap for the vanity mirror on the passenger side broke and after several failed attempts to get a used part I bit the bullet and went OEM. Found Volvo Dundee through a quick web search of what I thought was the correct part number and had a quick email exchange with Shirley Long. I didn't actually have the right P/N but Shirley found the right part, advised that it had to come from the factory and that it would take about a week. Part arrived in Dundee and was posted out to me in West Wales with absolutely no issues. Correct part, correct colour and delivered in perfect condition. Shirley has been a credit to her dealership and the wider Volvo brand. Great work.

Very unimpressed. Car booked in for 10am and I turned up with plenty of time. Desk clerk couldn't even be bothered to make eye contact, and passed 'this guy' onto someone else. No offers of tea or coffee, and a vague 'between one and two' when I asked for a rough estimate of a timeline. Returned an hour or so later and decided just to wait. Twenty past two came, and I had to ask where my car was. Car had been washed then driven through a muddy puddle, and the 'complimentary valet' must've taken all of three minutes.
Not impressed in the slightest with any member of staff I saw, nor am I impressed with the service I received. For almost £500 I expect lot more, such as to discuss and offer options regarding potential additional work (tyres and rear brake pads, Polestar engine remap), advice on next service, cambelt change, etc. Nor was the service paperwork signed by the technician, and it was neither discussed with me, or a signature requested.
I shall most certainly not be returning to this dealership, the level of service falls far, far below what I expect.

Zero stars for obvious rip off attempt. Failed my car's MOT on what was clearly only an advisory and when I asked a local garage for second opinion they laughed out loud at what had been failed. Dundee Volvo couldn't validate the failure with any measurements or science. It was just their "professional opinion" the discs and pads failed. They could of course measure other wear and tear items just not the pads and discs, hmmm. Lucky for me they could replace the discs and pads that same day at an extortionate cost. I surprisingly didn't take them up on their offer. I've complained to Volvo UK head office (not holding my breath). Never purchasing a vehicle from any dealer with the Clark name in it again and probably not a Volvo either.

I needed a genuine replacement number plate light unit for my Volvo and after looking on the internet and seeing even used ones at ridiculous prices I changed my search and found John Clark Volvo Dundee. The parts search on the website was easy to use and the cost of the part was super reasonable. Shirley the Parts Advisor was brilliant at keeping me updated and the delivery was super fast. So thank you very much for the great service and I will definitely be purchasing any future parts I need from you.

I bought my car from John Clark Volvo Edin a month ago from Sales (A Munson & Manager- Scott). It’s a suboptimal purchase experience & I had ZERO car handover. When I phoned a few wks later & asked if I could have the brake check & have a handover, verbally this was ‘agreed’ on a specific day two wks later. As they were so unreliable, I phoned three days before to confirm. As expected, Munson on leave & no one knew anything. Worst still, I asked Manager Scott to give me a call back. No call back as expected! Clearly not leading from the ‘top’ in JC Volvo Edin

This was why I phoned up JC Dundee for help & surely they helped. It’s an extra 45mins drive for me from Glasgow but it was worth it! Big thank you. At least the staff at Dundee made me feel I m a valued customer!

For all customers, if you see a car you like in Edin, ask them to transfer to JC Volvo Dundee to finalise your purchase! They treat you professionally! I wished I’d done that.

This was my first dealings with the service/parts department since buying my XC40 here and I was really impressed. With just a week to going on holiday I found that my current roof box didn’t fit the load bars I’d had fitted when I bought the car. I emailed the dealership and received a prompt reply from Shirley about the Volvo roof box options. She then also managed to get the one I wanted brought up to the dealership the following day! All the staff I met on the day were really helpful and polite. The technician that fitted the box also took the time to explain and show me how to work the fixings. Thank you!

From finding my car to picking it up, the whole process was absolutely seamless! Couldn’t fault Scott who oversaw the whole purchase and handover. He was helpful, knowledgeable and super friendly and has a great sense of humour too! I live in Aberdeen and my experience with John Clarke Volvo in Dundee has been incredibly good. I turned to Dundee because the waiting list in Aberdeen is 6-7 weeks even for a major fault that makes it potentially dangerous driving the car. I was not impressed with the service desk in Aberdeen, in stark contrast to Dundee where everyone was friendly, understanding and accommodating. I phoned the Dundee branch in desperation on Monday explaining the difficultly and was given an appointment for Wednesday 2 days later. The staff in Dundee were very kind particularly Aaron, who I was mostly dealing with. I had to stay there the whole day once the diagnostic test was completed in order for a part to be ordered, delivered and fitted. The staff offered me lifts into town to try and pass the day, knowing how busy everyone was I did not take them up on this but very kind of them.
Despite a difficult journey to Dundee because of the fault with the car and a day spent in the garage the car was fixed and dealt with efficiently and effectively. I would still be waiting for another 5 weeks if I’d left it to the Aberdeen office.
A very big thank you to All the staff in the Dundee branch.
