I paid an 100% deposit refundable
I paid an 100% deposit refundable, the car was paid in full from the lender, and John Clark Aberdeen didn't refund me yet even been asking since 8th of August. Seems to be very difficult refund me 99 pounds when they received 17.500 pound for the car.

Elderly, disabled mother misled into buying used car under false pretences
John Clark Renault Aberdeen sold my elderly, disabled mother a second hand Vauxhall Combo in November 2025. This car was purchased to better accommodate their disability needs. She was advised by a family member to check whether the car had a wet belt, two separate members of staff (Scott and Ross) specifically told her it had a drive chain (this is not terminology she would know and was simply relaying what she had been told) rather than a wet belt and she paid cash for the vehicle.
Imagine our surprise when she took it to Albyn Garage in August 2026 to see about an oil warning light that was showing, to be told that it was caused by the wet belt beginning to deteriorate (the car is approaching 30,000 miles)!!!
We subsequently complained to John Clark Renault, who have now agreed to cover the cost of replacing the wet belt in rectification. Fair play to them, however this process could have been avoided and a lot less of everyone's time wasted had they provided the information requested prior to sale.
I am writing this review as she felt pressurised to leave a good review at the time, which is now clearly not a fair representation of her experience.

Great Experience
I had a fantastic experience buying my new car, and I can’t thank James enough for all of his help.
From the moment I walked in, James was friendly, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all of my questions, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel under any pressure. He was patient throughout the whole process and made what can often be a stressful experience feel easy and enjoyable.
Nothing was too much trouble, and his communication was excellent from start to finish. He genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy with my choice and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect before I drove away.
I would highly recommend James to anyone looking to buy a car. His professionalism, honesty, and outstanding customer service made all the difference. Thank you again for making the whole experience such a positive one!

Totally enjoyed driving the electric Renault 4; smooth and nippy, the car had most of the option someone will look for in a car. Spacious enough and on the same time a good size to make the parking and the participation to the traffic very easy. Would recommend giving a try!

bought a brand new 25 plate Renault…
bought a brand new 25 plate Renault traffic , once collected I noticed the steering wheel was off centre while driving in a straight line took van back I was told the issue was fixed, later i noticed the drivers front wheel was wearing irregular so contacted them again and was told they couldn't do anything about it so I had to take it else where and it was found the wheel alignment was way off, the van has never been kerb,d or had any knocks this was the way I got it from the factory, worst thing about it the back wheel is off and its fixed can't be adjusted poor show from a van straight from the factory
so basically I've just been fogged off after handing them near 30K
I have the report/printout from garage that carried out the diagnosis and repair

A very good experience
A very good experience from James who was very knowledgable and patiently answered our numerous questions. Test drives given to my wife and I. We knew which car we wanted, with trade in which went very smoothly and our Symbioz delivered as promised.Couldn’t have asked for more.

Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service, never return phone calls, rude when you do manage to speak to someone, youre previous car finance takes ages to be settled, so prepare to pay another installment of your old car, even after you have signed it over to Renault. Shambles of a showroom in Aberdeen

Our Enjoyable Visit to John Clark Renault !
From the first day when my wife and I visited the Showroom until the day we purchased our new Renault Magane we were made very welcome. The staff were very friendly and not too overpowering (which sometimes happens). The friendly atmosphere and the great Coffee machine helped 👍.
All of the staff we dealt with were knowledgeable, extremely courteous and very helpful.
All in all, I think that the friendliness of the staff helped make up our minds on the purchase of our new car !
The Megane itself is a super nice car to drive and we are happy that we bought this car.
