Problems started from my initial booking. Called and was told I was through to an automated system…although I could hear the person typing my answers! How ridiculous! When I eventually got through to a ‘person’ I was asked what the problems were. Firstly I mentioned my amber engine light was on. Been on for quite some time and was showing a fault code. They said I would be charged £114 plus vat for investigation. Then I mentioned my air con was no longer working. He (Dylan) said he would put it down as a service then they would repair. When I asked how much the air conditioning service was, he said he didn’t have that information there (£155!) obviously called them back and told them to focus on the repair like I asked and not upsell anymore. No problems dropping off the car on the morning. Around lunchtime I received a complimentary health check…(we won’t go into the additional stuff they tried to upsell). They told me that the amber light was not on when they checked the car! I call rubbish to that. Then when they plugged it in…it was showing as an old code and not an active one. Warranty part, but wouldn’t fix it. They cleared codes and said if it comes back on book car back in. Came back on 2 days later! As for the air con. Told me that it was a seal that was corroded and leaking. Replaced 2 ‘O’ rings and regas for £128. Guess what…1 week later my air con is no longer working!! My car is booked in for later this month with both items I initially booked the car into be repaired. Will they actually fix the problems this time….who knows, I won’t hold my breath.

Very disappointed with my experience buying a car from this Kia dealership.

We were told the car was ready for collection on the Wednesday, so we travelled up on the Saturday to collect it. On arrival, we were made to complete all the paperwork before even seeing the vehicle, only to then be left waiting in the showroom for over 45 minutes.

When the car finally arrived, it was obvious it had not been cleaned properly. We were also told the AdBlue had been topped up as part of the service, yet only an hour into the drive home the low AdBlue warning light came on.

What concerns me most is that the service book had been fully stamped and ticked, stating the vehicle had been serviced and the next service was due in 12 months / 32,000 miles. However, after getting home and checking under the bonnet myself, it became clear the vehicle had not actually been serviced at all despite the book being stamped to say it had.

After initially contradicting themselves several times, they eventually arranged for the car to be properly serviced at my local Kia dealer. While that corrected the issue, it still meant a 40-mile round trip, taking a full day off work and losing a day’s wages as I am self-employed.

I asked for some goodwill compensation towards fuel and lost time, which was declined because they claimed there had been “no financial loss” as the work had eventually been corrected — despite it being work that should already have been completed before collection.

Since challenging this further, my emails have simply been ignored.

Based on my experience, once the sale is completed the customer service disappears. I would not recommend this dealership.

Obviously I still won’t hear anything back, hence why I have gone to the extent of writing this review. I really hope you’re happy with yourselves.

Terrible after sales service. Once they have your money they’re not interested if you have an issue. They either don’t reply to issues or try and fob you off. Avoid
