2 cleaners came post construction to do final cleaning. 30min later they were done with 350sqm house (4 levels). After complaining and builder negotiating with them to do some more work other than parading… we discovered few days later that as a revenge they unplugged water boiler in basement.

ISS Service St. Gall Switzerland: No clue how to clean, very stressed employees and they cannot deal with complaints! Wet mopping the floor should be done twice a month... we the renters pay for it.

I have just completed a work block here in Sweden. I had a mentor for just 3 days of my induction weeknand was left alone the remaining three days. My online course link took 6 days to come through to my email address. When it did arrive, less than 24 hours later I was asked to work along side someone due to my original mentor injuring herself at work. I discovered she had injured her knee. All the cleaning rooms were filthy, I found myself cleaning not just the customer locations but the cleaning rooms too. When my designated mentor returned a couple of weeks later I had one day to spend with her. What I saw was appalling. She cleaned with red microfiber cloths everywhere and never used the colour coded system at all. The boss who was in charge of me was a temporary replacement and was useless. I had to attend an APT meeting to get new equipment and supplies. Even after two weeks I had nothing. I ended up running out of soap powder and was was told I needed to give more warning that it was running low (if it takes more than 2 or 3 weeks then it would be the fault of my mentor then) I had to pay for my own.

I decided to report everything to headquarters and heard nothing more from them since the last correspondence. Once the block placement came to an end...so did the attention to do anything positive/investigate further in that area. They will never know the level of quality of work I gave in line with my training and care to attention to detail for the customers I supplied the cleaning for. The mentor I had is back to work today and will continue to supply low quality work. There was no safety equipment for handling chemicals, and no knee guards wither (perhaps my mentor would have not injured herself had they been available at the time) I tried to order some on the APT meeting and was looked at as though I were from out of Space! Safety equipment is a Health and Safety regulation and DOES stretch as far as Sweden! It was completely lacking! The combination scrub machine also didn't work fully either. I daresay it had not been serviced in quite some time.

I feel sorry for the customers. One thing is equally for certain...if I see an advertisement to work for ISS cleaning...I'll scroll on and look elsewhere. Worst company to work for. Obviously.

Imagine having a supervisor who is an angry bully. Also, imagine having a contract manager, and area manager - who are both semi-incompetent. How long do you think you would last as an employee, before one of them get's you sacked; not for your own actions - but theirs..or lack of! Well, this is exactly what happened with me. My supervisor, was a highly intolerant, testosterone charged bully, who would actually show his teeth in anger, if you happened to disappoint him. As soon as I met the guy, he bared his teeth at me. Yep!! My area manager, could not collect details properly. He would lose them. Not just once..but 3 times!! These are your details that you need for a contract with ISS. I tried to explain all this to my area manager, who for some reason, decided to take no action that I know of, to do anything about this. What did this area manager do? She sacked me,,,for not providing her with the information she wanted. Yep. A revolving door of ineptitude, and nonsense. If you want a job with ISS - cleaning division in Liverpool - and want to jump through hoops, only to get nowhere...join this company. I'm sorry I went near them!!!

Returned the 2nd time under 2 different agencies worked cleaning with a woman who had every excuse to do nothing and would make up lies and course trouble yet they called her a good cleaner when I'm doing most the work when I raised this issue well she's a good cleaner if I don't like it go elsewhere. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

This company is full of racism , they black mail their staff , they make false promises, they will make your life he'll if you work for them.

If I could give this company no stars I would terrible management the supervisor a bully and they sack u for speaking out about it horrible company there constantly sacking people to reappoint the job to someone else avoid at all costs u will end up with mental health problems

As everyone else has said - worst company I've ever worked for. They used a recruitment company to hire me. No interview, no DBS check, no references for a retail cleaning position. Yet another company processed wages, which was impossible to contact, login didn't work. I had no direct contact with ISS, every issue was handled by the recruitment company, and now that I've left they are ignoring my emails about missing wages. I will have to go through ACAS for the 3 days wages still owed.

I recently bought a property that had been "refurbished" by this company (hired by the previous owner).

Bottom line is: every single thing they did is an incompetent amateurish bodge, the likes of which I have never seen.

Some examples:

Plasterboard was supposed to be replaced throughout the property, but was only done in places that were more visible. It was left as it had been, moldy and water-damaged in some of the worst areas.

Skimming over plasterboard was so badly done you can see the joints. They couldn't even be bothered to take a panel heater off the wall, just went around it.

Box built around the soil stack is held together with duct tape (!). Seriously, I am not joking here.

Painting was done in patches throughout using a different shade of magnolia to the original. Looks terrible, and I have redone a load of it.

Worst of all is that the new hot water tank is a mains pressure tank that requires certification for building regs approval. This is a legal requirement, and is a serious issue.

There was no certificate number provided by ISS and the installation had to be revised and then certified by another (thankfully) competent contractor.

Every new thing I uncover reveals yet another bodge, so who knows what's next.

been with them 4 years when they took over the previous contract initially had numerous problems every single pay at one point i was owed £1357 after numerous attempts to get the money i contacted ACAS it took me 6 months ... again i had pay issues but most was eventually resolved i again had to contact acas for £250 owed... my co workers didnt bother contacting acas one is still owed around 2k another 2-300 another £30 ish and another lost count but in the thousands considering we are min wage part time cleaners thats a lot of money.... im currently owed a shift my manager wouldnt reply to my messages until i threatened to contact acas .... you got to be tough with them or they will ignore you and steal your money...

I haven't been paid for a holiday, spoken to and messaged my manager but he is unresponsive, it is three months now since the holiday. I Haven't been paid for overtime and didn't get my usual pay. Very frustrating working for a company where you have to fight to get the money that you have worked for.

Det verste selskapet jeg har jobbet for. En kantine full av rasisme, overgrep mot ansatte. Full av frekkhet, stress, fornærmelser. Folk jobber med stort press. Alle rapporterte problemer blir feid under teppet. Og dette skjer i en av deres største kantiner i Oslo.

I was dropping my daughter off at college, it had been raining a bit and when I pulled off my wheels span a bit and all I heard was someone saying, what an *"'::, I told him to be quiet it was accidental he then jumped out his van and started heading towards my car mouthing off and acting in a threatening manner. ISS you need to get your staff under control, but I've read alot of reviews about this Company and they all seem like muppets all the way up to Management

I started working through Instawork back in August of 2022. IKEA in West Chester partnered with a company called ISS who helps them with employees through Instawork. I liked my work but started to notice the shady and unprofessional behavior that IKEA continues to allow ISS treat customers and the temp employees that are scheduled to work through them. IKEA will pretend like they care and even go about trying to tell you that ISS isn’t IKEA. No, their not, but their HIRED through you so their behavior, unprofessional behavior, discrimination all falls on you. You’re responsible to continuing it and turning the other cheek. ISS supervisors will tell you to tell customers to do it themselves so you could get in trouble. I’ve heard ISS workers ban and block people of color from booking shifts through their apps. Me being one of those people and lie about why they do it. Their racialism will catch up to them and I hope IKEA falls with them. I’ll continue to spread the word and even reach out to Nell Witherbys employee as she is also a nurse. I fear for her patients.

My wife works for this company and in a 50 year working life this company is the worst she has ever worked for- by a country mile.
Despite numerous requests to her supervisor she still cannot access her wage slips or check how many holiday days she is entitled to as the online app is not working, request for wage slips to be posted have been ignored.
And just to show what a disgusting company they are and what they really think of the staff they employ she has been told that the Bank Holiday for the Queens funeral has to be taken as annual leave, this despite the fact that the contract she works on is closed on that day.

I worked for this company for about 18 months cleaning trains, they were supposed to supply trucks to carry the electrical transformers but never did, meaning we had to physically carry these heavy objects, one night I felt something go in my lower back, I was on sick pay for six months at which point they tried to bully me into resigning which meant I would not be entitled to any benefit..3 years later and I still suffer back pain daily..I do believe I should have been compensated for this injury and at 63 years old I will never be fit to work again. I would definitely caution anyone against working for this terrible company!!
