The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers Omdömen

I can honestly say this Mentorship program was absolutely amazing and the wealth of knowledge that I have gained on top of what I already had has been fantastic. I will certainly jump on board for monthly session as I need. Tania has been phenomenal and is a great listener and happy to work through whatever I wanted too. Weekly zoom calls with Tania is just what is needed to ensure I stayed on track and have an amount of work to put into my classes now with alot more confidence. Thank to Tania and IMDT for the brilliant program.

amazing set up, so much knowledge learnt, respectful of dogs and everyones abilities. Very supportive, kind and patient would highly recommend learning under IMDT for force free reward based training

Felt Steve was very clear with his descriptions and gave some great ideas to encourage a fuller tool kit for both me as a Trainer and to help the owners. Thank you!

Highly recommend the behaviour courses!
The best ones at the moment with scientific knowledge and foundations!

I did the 2 day career as a dog trainer course and Moss was brilliant! I’ve left feeling really excited for what’s next!!

Well, what can I say. Everyone i have come into contact with at imdt are so helpful and are on hand to help you succeed! I have successfully completed multiple course along with the 2 dayer online and 4 dayer was amazing i didnt want to go home i had so much fun (i didnt take a dog). I had my assessment in November nervous is an understatement but the assessor made me feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. My only thing with the assessment is I wish we had more time for the rescue part of the assessment possibly make that part 30 minutes (the time changed from 20mins to 30mins for the video) thank you!

If I could give the IMDT 100 stars, I would. After doing the 2 and 4 day dog trainer course, the real life skills I’ve been able to put into my work have been invaluable. The instructors’ (special thanks to Muss and Alun who taught me !) knowledge, enthusiasm and encouragement is amazing. Reading books by Steve Mann has also been so eye opening and helpful. I’m taking my exam in a few weeks and I’m beyond excited! If you’re considering taking any of these courses for any reason, DO IT!

Just finished a 2-day Career as a Dog Trainer course with IMDT, instructed by the great Mustafa Ozmus. A great course! Can recommend to anyone with a serious interest in dog training. I personally am just dipping my toe in the world, learning as much as I can and this course for sure whet my appetite towards actually considering following through with further studies!

I have 'experienced' several courses and an assessment with the IMDT over the last few years and have been extremely satisfied with all aspects.
Great communication, brilliant content and knowledgeable and approachable instructors.
Highly recommend.

Really useful course. Circumstances prevented me from interacting but that aside I would highly recommend. Laura's enthusiasm was infectious!

I had an excellent experience with IMDT, which provides outstanding information for those looking to pursue a career in dog training and gain a qualification. It really helped me understand the impact of different training methods for various exercises. The course also emphasizes how to properly motivate a dog to want to work and engage with us. In a world full of short videos on various training techniques, IMDT helps you figure out which methods will actually be effective and suitable for training your own dog or your clients' dogs. I especially appreciated the four-day practical course, where everything fell into place, and it all became clear. I am excited to continue my studies with IMDT and their approach. Wishing you all the best!

The IMDT has truly transformed my life this year! From the moment I hired an IMDT trainer to help with my Border Collie, I was so impressed by their knowledge and approach that I decided to become a dog trainer myself.

Every course I've attended has been fantastic. The tutors, assessors, and staff are all knowledgeable and supportive, creating a lovely learning environment. I'm so proud to be a certified dog trainer now, and I can't wait to continue my journey with the Level 3 course in January. Thank you, IMDT!

Can not recommend this course enough for anyone wanting to learn about dog body language, I thoroughly enjoyed it! The IMDT trainer was brilliant and extremely informative also covering any questions we may have had at the end of the course. Thank you

I recently attended a 4-day practical dog training course and a 2-day theory course, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! The experience was incredibly enriching, and I left with a much deeper understanding of dog behavior and training techniques.

The theory course provided a solid foundation, explaining the science behind canine behavior in an accessible and engaging way. It covered everything from body language and communication to understanding the motivations behind different behaviors. I found the information invaluable for building a better relationship with my dog.

The practical sessions were equally fantastic. They offered hands-on opportunities to apply what we learned, focusing on real-world scenarios and effective, humane training methods. The trainers were knowledgeable, approachable, and provided tailored feedback, ensuring everyone could progress at their own pace.

I now feel more confident in handling and understanding dogs, and I’m excited to continue practicing what I’ve learned. Thank you for such a comprehensive and rewarding experience!

The course was easy to access, easy to follow and all from the comfort of your own home. The information on the course was really useful, knowledgeable and relevant.

I have completed three courses with IMDT and found them excellent. Trainers are extremely knowledgeable, equipped to answer any questions, and the course content has the right amount of detail and scope. I've booked three more courses. Highly recommend!

Excellent course and content delivered by David thoroughly enjoyed it would definitely recommend to anyone interested in working with dogs in any capacity

A WEEK LATER AND STILL NO REFUND!!! AS MENTIONED BEFORE THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY!!! ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKLLS ALTHOUGH THEY REPLY TO YOUR REVIEW PLAYING THE GOOD GUY!!
My experience with IMDT has been absolutely appalling. I had to cancel a course due to an extremely difficult personal situation, and their handling of my refund has been nothing short of disgraceful. Despite cancelling well within the 14-day cooling-off period, I am still waiting for my money, and their complete lack of professionalism is astounding.

I have had to chase them over and over again, which is unacceptable and deeply disrespectful, especially given the personal circumstances I’m facing. A reputable company would handle such matters with compassion and efficiency, but IMDT has shown they care more about taking money than about supporting their customers.

The course was due to start this weekend, but I cancelled well in advance and within the legal timeframe, so there is absolutely no justification for delays or deductions. Yet here I am, still waiting, with zero communication or resolution from them.

This company has shown itself to be unreliable, unsympathetic, and unprofessional at every turn. They have caused me needless stress during an already challenging time, and I would strongly advise anyone to steer well clear of them. IMDT cares about one thing only: your money.

Another outstanding course from IMDT !

I didn't expect too much from a dog walking course tbh, but this blew my expectations right out of the water.
Touching on so many things, from planning, safety, psychology and business strategies, this really delivered.
I've done much with IMDT over the years, but this was absolutely sensational.
I couldn't recommend highly enough.
Thanks IMDT x

Great communication, clear information, a lot of practice, informative pdf notes after course. All in all perfect practical course for dog trainers. Thank you so much!
