The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers Omdömen

Fantastic tutor, very informative course

I really enjoyed this course – it was fascinating and I learned a great deal about understanding dog language. The content was rich and informative, though at times it felt a bit “chalk and talk,” which is understandable given the webinar format.

In hindsight, I think I would have preferred the two-session option rather than the full-length version. There was so much valuable information, but I found myself fading a bit in the final hours. Breaking it up might have helped me absorb more and stay fully engaged throughout.

Overall, a worthwhile experience and I’d definitely recommend it – just consider the format that works best for your learning style.

A great opportunity to deepen your bond with your dog and better understand their world.

The course was a very informative and comfortable experience! Look forward to completing more courses with IMDT.

As i said , you did offer me email support . I think a few actual conversations would have helped me on my way . It was email support you offered - as i said in my reveiw . A human touch would have gone a long way .

Superb course and great intro into dog training. Mus is a wonderful tutor and gave clear understanding of what we covered. I thoroughly enjoyed it, loved that it was over 4 evenings so I could still work and I've met some lovely people from the group

This review relates to The two day instructors course over 4 evenings.
It is a very quick run through of subjects including learning theory and body language. Throughout the presentation there were links on the slides so that you could buy additional courses from IMDT I also lost count the times webinars and other courses were mentioned by the instructor.
The instructor was friendly and clearly knowledgable and controlled the online chat box very well switching it off regularly to stop the constant chatter. He also came online early to answer training queries. The course is delivered at quite a fast pace.

I came away with very little increased understanding of learning theory and while the 4 day instructors course was pushed for the umpteenth time I would not feel at all confirming doing that from this course.

I like IMDT, Steve Mann and the rest of the team I have had contact with previously but seriously felt from this course the organisation is becoming a cash cow. There were repeats of videos they have displayed before which was fortunate as the videos were laggy and impossible to identify body language from. It was mentioned In the chat the replays were not functioning properly but wasn’t picked up.
Overall not terribly impressed by the standard of course content and it has changed my previously very positive view of the IMDT.

This is an absolute must of you are serious about becoming a better dog trainer, it's crazy how much I progressed over four days. All of the instructors were amazing, they really took their time to make sure everyone understood what was going on. I cannot wait to continue my journey with the IMDT.

The course content was fantastic and the tutor (Mus) taught in a way that made time fly by and kept my attention the whole time

Really enjoyed the course, made so much sense and have already implemented what I've learnt to my 1 to 1 clients

I found the first aid course super helpful as a refresher. Very clear and easy to follow with some helpful demonstrations and diagrams thrown in too

Great course with lots of information , easy to digest, the teacher gave clear information and was able to answer any questions that came up , really informative and well worth the investment of time and money

Really loved the 4 course bundle. Really informative content and presented in such a great way. Loved the videos and the feedback from the Tutor was very helpful and supportive. Really great and enjoyable course. I’ve learnt so much. Thank you

The Recall webinar is a fantastic resource that is well delivered and keeps you engaged throughout. It breaks each stage down and is easy to follow. Great videos for each exercise.

The course was very informative, I’m so glad I decided to book the 2 day. I am hoping to book the 4 day practical very soon.

An extremely interesting and informative course. The IMDT have helped shape my whole career and have always been really supportive. I would 100% recommend this course, especially if you are a professional working with dogs.

Great, can say much more than that. Learned a lot and also reinforced what I already knew

This was such a fantastic 4 days. The instructors were so supportive and encouraging, and their knowledge was immense! I thoroughly enjoyed it and just wish it could have been longer! I wanted to gain some practical experience to go alongside the Level 4 behaviour correspondence course and this made a lot of things fall into place for me. I would highly recommend to both budding trainers and behaviourists. Thank you IMDT!

🌟 I’m officially an IMDT Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor! 🐶🐾

Two weeks ago, I took part in the three day Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor Course in West Sussex – and what an incredible experience it was!

Despite teaching puppy classes for the past two years, I was amazed at how much I learned. The course was packed with practical knowledge, real-life strategies, and fresh perspectives that I can’t wait to bring into my future puppy classes and 1:1 sessions.

A huge thank you to Steve Mann and Tania Chappelle Imdt , who delivered the course with so much energy, passion, and humour. It was fun, inspiring, and so supportive from start to finish – exactly what dog training should feel like!

And... I’m so proud to say… I passed my assessment! 🥳 I’m now officially part of the Easy Peasy family and currently celebrating with a well-earned glass of fizz (served in my fabulous new Easy Peasy branded mug, of course! 😜🧡☕️)

If you’re thinking about deepening your puppy training knowledge or adding something special to your practice – I couldn’t recommend this course enough!

Another great course! I trust the information as the IMDT are a respectable and responsible organisation and enables me to give my clients the best advice. The course is clear with plenty of opportunity to ask questions if needed.

The IMDT (Institution of Modern Dog Trainers) are a great place to start your dog training journey. The whole team are very supportive with both practical and theory exercises.
I am proud to me part of the IMDT family.
