Great service

Despite having a premium plan that covered plumbing, HWA denied the claim outright. On top of this they sent a plumber who overcharged and did the work poorly.

It took 11 days to repair an air conditioner in the hot summer June 11 to June 22. They said good repair people, but the timing is horrible.

After paying HWA Home Warranty for years, my refrigerator compressor failed and my claim was denied. Their reason? They said dirt and debris under the refrigerator restricted airflow and caused the failure.

Apparently, homeowners are expected to regularly move a heavy refrigerator and clean underneath it or risk having their claim denied. After years of paying premiums, I was shocked to find that when I finally needed the coverage, they found a technical reason not to honor the claim.

My experience was extremely disappointing. Be sure to read all exclusions carefully before purchasing this warranty. What you think is covered may not be covered when you actually need it.

I was experiencing ac issues. The warranty company coordinated a technician. That technician after 3 attempts finally sent a different technician that was able to correctly resolve the issue. The initial response time was very fast. Although I don’t recommend the 1st technician as I paid two visit fees and never resolved the issue. Money lost. The 2nd tech I paid as well but at least my issue was resolved. All that to say HWA made it easy to request service through the portal.

The process to submit my claim/ concern was incredibly easy. The response was prompt and the service was scheduled and completed in a very acceptable time frame.

Initial visit by technician was good. Now needs approval to continue and to order parts. Claim is still open until all work is complete.

I’ve had 2 terrible experiences with this warranty company. The company they chose to inspect my central AC came over they were literally 5 minutes at my home and he told me that the warranty would not approve it. That he has many years of experience and he knows how to get them to accept the claim. I just need to give him $900 and he will put a light for me. Never mind that he wrote the report that they needed me to move the boxes from the garage so they can inspect upstairs. That was Air Zone air conditioning. He also said if I don’t pay the money and put the claim then they would red flag me next time o had an issue with any other appliances. So I paid 100 as the deposit and they wanted another 900 to make sure the claim would go through. When I spoke with HWA they just transfer me again and again but never took care of the problem. Of course when Air Zone saw I complained they suddenly changed from we need to check it again.to we need to put a white light for 900. Worst ever warranty company to deal with
