Nice little hotel in the heart of the old town. Pleasant staff, nice breakfast, roof terrace in good weather, room freshened with new linen frequently, good adjacent restaurant (Lagana)

Seconda volta che alloggio presso questa struttura, la posizione è sicuramente il punto di forza. Colazione carina ed accogliente, terrazza davvero spettacolare. Abbiamo alloggiato nella suite, camera spaziosa ma rivedibile nella pulizia.

Il bagno non era molto pulito, il tetto muffe, la testata del letto la povere.
C’era un ragazzo nella reception fumava nella porta di entrata, siamo arrivati per consegnare la chiave per uscire, aveva questa puzza di fumo.
La colazione molto buona, la signora che serviva molto gentile educata.

We booked “La Torre” room with the private terrace and it was an amazing experience; the hotel is beautifully appointed and in a great central location. Service was friendly, warm and prompt. Thanks for an overall excellent experience- we highly recommend Hotel Portoghesi.

L’hotel è centralissimo ed il personale disponibile e accogliente. Le stanze singole sono un po’ piccole. Hanno bagno e infissi nuovi, ma le pareti sono in alcuni punti scrostate. Se si ha necessità di lavorare al computer, la connessione in stanza era molto debole, bisogna spostarsi nella zona vicino la reception dove ci sono delle scrivanie a disposizione per il computer. Colazione classica. Molto bella la terrazza per la colazione.

Great value and super location for touring Rome. We stayed here six years ago and the AC was not working well, but this time it was great. The people are very friendly and very helpful - the rooms super clean. It’s not a “luxury” hotel - but as a clean home base for touring - this hotel is great.

stanze minuscole. odore di muffa forte e persistente. finestra con vista muro. troppo caro per questa situazione. colazione con prodotti confezionati. niente frutta fresca, solo macedonia in barattolo. unica nota positiva: gentilezza del personale.

We were very disappointed with the air conditioning which was not working on the very hot night when we arrived which could not be resolved until the next day. This resulted in a very bad night sleep which left us very tired for our first of two days in Rome. After the unit was fixed there was still very little airflow from the unit. We were very happy with everything else

Nice atmosphere, very nice and helpfull staff both in the reception and in the breakfast-room, clean and fine bathroom … and of course a superb location.

Our ONLY issue was the hot water was not working our first night. It was a Saturday night, and the front desk help could not fix the problem.

We stayed in rome for three nights at Hotel Portoghesi and really enjoyed our stay. The location was tucked away on a quiet street that was within walking distance of major attractions in Rome. The room was nice, the staff was very nice, and the rooftop breakfast was wonderful. I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Portoghesi for your visit to Rome!

The room was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood. Breakfast was also delightful! We greatly appreciated the assistance in arranging airport transportation with our luggage. We would recommend Portoghesi to anyone staying in Rome. Thank you for making our stay in Rome comfortable!
