I had a really positive experience with Hennah Haywood buying my first home. Abbie Gronow was especially brilliant - super responsive, helpful and patient with the many questions I had as a first time buyer. Abbie (and Georgia Erasmus) kept everything moving, including doing lots of chasing with my lender and helping when things became difficult with my broker.

The whole process felt much smoother and less stressful than I expected. Their fees were also really competitive and transparent, nothing hidden. I felt really well looked after throughout and would absolutely recommend them, and will definitely be using again. Thank you Abbie and Georgia!

There's a reason you couldnt review this company on trust pilot for years.
Terrible from day one. Never received documents that we emailed over, took about 2 weeks for them to 'find them'
Don't respond to emails, if they do you are waiting a week.
Don't answer the phone, if they do they will put you through to your solicitor who 1) won't answer 2) answering machine is full so you can't even leave a message.

They will fob you off and tell you they are doing something when they are not.
You think you have almost finished the process when they send you more stuff to sign, which could have been done months prior.
The only way we got the ball rolling again was when we complained to the person who referred us to them, and he took the reigns. Hopefully he never refers anyone else ever again.

We were very close to changing to a different company. Our seller almost pulled out, we could have lost our house due to this company.

You also can't leave any comments on their social media as it will be deleted instantly!

They caused so much stress that even 4 years later I still think about it

We have just moved into our new house and we used this solicitors which I would highly recommend they are only a phone call away and keep you updated with everything and every step of the way , we would like to thank jessica for everything she has done i phoned all the time and she always give me the time nothing was any trouble for her and she explained everything so thank you jess and the solicitors for helping us along the way and making everything go well.

We had the best experience with Hennah Haywood Law. We just purchased our first property and we have always heard the solicitors make the house purchase process difficult. In our case this was far from the truth as everything went seamlessly. We had great communication throughout the whole process and our case handler Ryan Bater was fantastic. Very helpful always answered any queries I had, in the quickest time.

We were FTB with no chain ahead of us. Whole sale was just under 4 months.

Something I didn't realise as a FTB was that the solicitor who was allocated to me, Ryan Bater, has a team of people and as a client if I want a response I'm better off reaching out to those people.
I did have some frustration in not recieving replies (although the things I had gotten in touch about were actioned), but when I realised that Ryan had a team of people I could contact it made things a lot smoother.

Maybe I missed something when I signed up, but I would just say for Henneh Haywood to make that absolutely clear to anyone signing up that they should get in touch with assistants not the solicitor directly if they want something. Would cause less problems!

Other than that, they got the job done and pretty quick. We wanted in by a certain week and they did their best to get that sorted for us. We had a referral to them from our mortgage broker.

I will add that the fees came to £700 more than quoted originally. I'm actually not sure how that happened but I took their word for it that it was correct. So budget more than you need because it took us by suprise.

I was given HH as the conveyancing law firm through my mortgage lender. I am really disappointed with the service I have received from HH law. Emails that are not responded to, A phone system that doesn't work. Non acceptance of responsibility for errors, oversights they have made. Blame has reverts back to LMS and Marsden about changing requirements. It has taken over 6 months for a remortgage. I received confirmation from the legal assistants that everything was agreed and set, only to find out 1 month later that they now needed to re identify me, giving me convoluted reasons and blaming the lender. I can only say i am really not impressed and am shocked by many of the 'positive reviews'

This is my second time using Hennah Haywood for my property sale/purchase and there is a reason im a return customer. Consistently excellent service and communication. Thanks once again to Rhys, Libby and Farah for everything you've done. Its much appreciated!

I was engaged with Hannah Haywood as the legal team provided by Skipton, as part of a property transaction. The team were all incredibly friendly from the start, however some conflicting information near the beginning of the process resulted in the transaction becoming increasingly complicated, and taking considerably longer than anticipated.
It was also difficult to contact the team by phone, often having the call dropped or being unable to reach the people on my case (probably exacerbated by holidays, on balance).
Contact via email on the other hand was almost always very quickly responded to, and once the situation resulting from the initial confusion was resolved, the rest of the process was completed efficiently.
