The experience had a bit of a bumpy start, but the staff really turned it around with their excellent service and quick response times. It’s definitely well worth it, especially if you’re just getting started!

Heylo made the stress of moving home more manageable. Without the help of Ewan I think we may well of pulled out of the purchase due to poor effort and communication from the solicitors. Ewan was always just an email away and his helpfulness with responses were immediate. He was proactive in getting this sale over the line eventually and we can't thank him enough.

To be very honest, it’s rather hard to rate Heylo, because we’ve had such little contact with them during the process of our purchase of our Shared Ownership Home. Everything was done through our solicitors.
We initially received the lease details containing the rent, etc, then a few days before exchange Heylo sent our solicitors an amended lease with a reduction in rent payment, even our own solicitor made the comment that that was extremely good news to receive the reduction. Then the day before completion our solicitor wrote to us telling us that Heylo had made a huge mistake and the reduced rent was incorrect and they informed us that the original lease now stood. Talk about not knowing what one is doing, so our rent is now back to what is was when we were originally contacted by Heylo. Other than that, it’s impossible to comment on Heylo, we’ve had only one email with a name on the bottom that being from Marlon Pearson ATP, when we completed on the 24th March.
However, what I will add though is that myself and my husband are sincerely grateful that Heylo accepted us for the Shared Ownership scheme, because we are over the moon with the Gleeson house that we managed to purchase at 50% of the original purchase price.
Having since written this review, we were contacted by Ewan Keenan, Senior Sales Progression Executive of Heylo Housing, I would like to add that Heylo have sincerely apologised for the errors that were made concerning our lease arrangements just before we completed on our purchase and gave us an explanation as to the reason why it happened, which myself and my husband accepted. As a good will gesture, we were offered a complimentary gift which we gladly accepted. On this basis, because Heylo has gone above and beyond our expectations, we are happy to reward them with an amended review of 5 stars.

Heylo have been really good throughout the process of buying our shared ownership house. They supported us through the application, chased our solicitors when we were waiting for additional paperwork to be finished and kept us informed of everything happening. As first time buyers it was a daunting process and the heylo team especially Ewan, helped us through the whole process, answering any questions we had promptly.

Recently purchased a property with heylo as shared ownership as a first time buyer and the experience all way throughout was fantastic

I recently purchase a property which was part owned by Heylo housing (current seller was shared owner). My experience of purchase was longer due to additional shared ownership paperwork but it was made easier by Ewa Skrzynska, Resales and Staircasing Officer at Heylo. Ewa is very prompt in her responses. She followed up all the tasks effectively and ensured timely turnaround.

We have recently sold our shared ownership home with Heylo and they have been fantastic to deal with! Especially Ewa in the resales team, she made sure we were kept up to date at every stage and went above and beyond helping us along the way!

Haylo housing help purchase the property next door with possibly the worst people ever possible. Them and everyone who comes to the property is on drugs, we had to deal with drug dealers, anti social behaviour. The front and rear of the property is just a dumping ground, Haylo doesn’t want to know or help. We are made physically ill from the smell of cannabis, good knows what else they are on. If you see or hear Haylo is buying a property near you, be warned as they don’t care who they put in their houses.

Heylo are the most wonderful association to purchase a home with. Nothing was too much trouble and Heylo accommodated to fit our situation. Cannot recommend more highly. After a week of moving in we received as a beautiful hamper of treats from them too! What a wonderful surprise and so very thoughtful. Thank you! X

When we saw our perfect house (which tbh was out of our price range) available on a shared ownership scheme with Heylo we couldn’t believe our luck. Rachel the national sales manager could not have been more helpful. We owe her a massive debt of gratitude for helping us into our dream home.

Great service no problem a toll

Charlotte has been so kind, helpful, and easy to work with and I felt that I was in safe hands from the first email. She helped resolve some issues that we had with the IT side of things and always was quick to reply, knowledgeable and felt like she really cared about providing great customer service which she most certainly did.

Ewa helped us tremendously went we hit a valuation issue and kept the whole process on target. Heylo went the extra mile and were so supportive fully understanding the pressure and stress that selling causes and particularly shared ownership as more involved when reselling. Ewa and her team are a credit to Heylo.
