Bought tumble dryer and washing machine both grey.one turned up white .we then got grey one only to be told by delivery man u got what u wanted grey very sarcasticly. We had to chase £50 dusvountvwecwere told we would get fir machine being store model. Then told they don't ever offer that. The sales girl lied when we confronted her. I just feelbtheyvr very young and rude and need more experienced staff. We spent a lot of money there. Only to deeply regret it.

Service was good but should explain hidden charges to your customers mum paid an extra £30 to have the doors swapped over so I did it myself and told mother to contact them to get a refund please don't expect a 84 yr old to know how to Go on a website to change doors disgusted at that

Wow! What an impressive company! I ordered a SMEG food mixer online on the Saturday night, got a call on Sunday morning to arrange delivery and by Tuesday it’s at my door. Such a helpful friendly driver and a great company! Highly recommended.

Had a new blue ray dvd player and soundbar delivered and installed today 5/01
Was a little bit hesitant as didn't think it would replace what I already had ( but had stopped working) so I saw Ben and explained what I needed probably about 4 times he assured that what i wanted would work, so I bought it,
It was delivered today and im so pleased, the 2 men who installed it were excellent sorry didn't get name but thank you very much and with the wires as well

Superb response from my purchase I made online. Rang in minutes to arrange delivery . Options to pay extra for installation but we did ours ourself . However when we had a question the super friendly helpful delivery guys were happy to answer .

Received a true 5 star service from both Woolacotts Barnstaple and Woolacotts Bude.

Ben was an extremely professional sales advisor in the new Barnstaple branch who made me feel welcomed and was not at all pushy. The store are able to give Blue Light Card discounts and or price match.

Robert and Robin were my delivery team from the Bude branch. Again this was a first class service. Polite and professional in the removal of the old appliance and the fitting of the new one.

100% recommend Woolacotts above other electrical providers.

Bought an expensive TV £1200 from them . To begin with they were great delivery was good and we loved the TV
However after 6 weeks the TV kept turning off spontaneously and then resetting
Phoned the company who informed us that they wouldn’t replace it as it was over 4 weeks since purchase . They would take it away and replace it with another TV to look at the problem.
They couldn’t guarantee the quality of the temporary TV
All over Christmas this is not acceptable and it’s only 6 weeks old . I’m unimpressed with after sales

Another purchase at the Plymouth store yesterday. Absolutely impeccable service, very helpful and courteous staff and an excellent range of products.

After sales service has always been available, with prompt support when needed. Why go anywhere else?

Lovely sparkly new showroom at Barnstable was an absolute delight to visit. The staff are all knowledgeable and helpful. We came in for a TV and are really happy that we chose the one that is right for us with the help of a really great sales person.
It was delivered promptly by 2 super efficient members of the team James & Travis (Bude).

HBH Woolacotts Barnstaple absolutely first class service and wonderful knowledgeable staff, went in just for a casual browse and ending up with making a purchase with no pressure from the helpful staff. Looking at purchasing more items for a new home and will definitely be buying everything we need from them. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

We always use Woolacotts as they are so reliable. They removed and installed our new washing machine
with the minimum of fuss. The youngest of the two was one of the politest young man I’ve seen in a long time and explained everything very well and even offered to move furniture back which we had moved for easy access.

I've always used this store to buy anything electrical and always recommend woolacotts to friends. Sadly on this occasion I am so disappointed with the customer service. I bought a washing machine and tumble dryer at the new Barnstaple store on the day it opened. The washing machine was delivered and installed the following week but the tumble dryer wasn't in stock at the time and I was informed that I'd get a call when it was and to arrange a delivery day. But I didn't get advance notice just a call yesterday from the delivery guys saying they would be with me between 2 and 5!..... I said this was not convenient and they said the store would contact me to arrange a new date. I've rung the store as I haven't been contacted only to be told it was going to be delivered tomorrow!!!!!! You really do need to agree this with the customer beforehand.....this day is not convenient....so now I've just agreed a new delivery day of next Thursday..... I need a morning delivery but apparently I can't request this as the route is decided by the delivery team on the day....so until I get that call next Thursday to find out what slot they assign to my delivery I can't be sure I'll get the delivery. I would also add that a friend bought a TV from woolacotts not so long ago and she requested a first delivery of the day with no problem...... I feel very let down by a company that I usually can rely upon.
UPDATE...I have just been called by the Barnstaple store manager....thank you Mike I very much appreciate your prompt intervention to resolve the delivery of the outstanding appliance to my satisfaction. Once again Woolacotts have come up trumps......my faith in using Woolacotts has been fully restored and I look forward to using your company in the future. So thank you again....kind regards

Dedicated tv rooms where you can see all of the tvs and no hard sales tactics,Matt the sales man was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products and spent nearly half an hour talking and showing us the products,I wish every store was like ,Very good price cheapest anywhere and they offer a price match if you find it cheaper ,we did order a few days later and had it delivered and installed another excellent sevice I highly recommend this company thank you all not forgetting the MD Martin

We purchased a £3000 LG Fridge Freezer, and added the HBH Woollcott 5 Year Warranty which we were assured was well worth the £225 and would be better than the standard manufacturer warranty, etc.

Well low and behold, after 4 years our Freezer has packed up overnight and defrosted all of our frozen goods. I called the local branch, Liskeard, who after checking informed me that they couldn't come out until the 19th - 18 days time. They did offer a small freezer on loan, unfortunately we are in the process of moving house.. This is just not practical.

After our initial disappointment in this we were telephoned by Martin from head office and explained why there was a delay and that he would ensure that as we had a faulty fridge freezer we would be prioritised.

We very quickly (within a couple of days) visited by one of their engineers who condemned the unit due to a faulty compressor. The Liskeard branch then immediately arranged for a loan unit to come out which arrived that afternoon. Not an ideal situation as we are in the process of moving but we desperately needed some sort of fridge at least!

As the LG unit had failed and was deemed a write off, HBH gave us the full invoice price against a new unit. We opted for a Fisher and Paykel unit as that was the closest to the original price.

Due to the fantastic service we received, we opted to put the small amount left over towards a new top of the range Sony Bravia and some other kitchen bits.

As the service was so good from Tracy, we have since purchased a top of the range Sonos sound system and some other stuff too.

What began as a bit of a nightmare ended up with us receiving superb customer service, some favourable pricing and some good repeat business for Tracy and the team at Liskeard.

They are now our "go to" electronics and appliances supplier and we look forward to future purchases from them.

We always turn to Woolacotts because their customer service is outstanding, especially their aftercare. They even matched the best price I found elsewhere, their delivery was prompt, and the delivery person was polite and knowledgeable. The product was perfect—shopping here always feels effortless and reassuring.

We recently had a full kitchen installed, including appliances that were supplied and paid for in full as part of the package.

After installation, we contacted this company directly to upgrade the extractor fan. During that initial conversation, they acknowledged that the kitchen company (their customer) hadn’t paid their invoice but reassured us it was just an internal matter on their end, and that we could likely just pay the difference for the upgraded model.

A week passed with no update, so we followed up. That’s when the tone shifted. They informed us that they were now struggling to contact the kitchen supplier, there was a significant outstanding debt, and they were considering retrieving appliances from our home to recover their losses. They even suggested that collecting the current extractor fan would help them recoup around £500 from what they were owed.

This is deeply concerning. We have no contract with them and have already paid in full for everything as part of our kitchen installation.

Trying to resolve a supplier debt by involving the end customer—who has no legal relationship with them—is not acceptable. It’s disappointing that what began as a simple product upgrade turned into a conversation about removing goods from our home.

Just a heads-up to others: if you’re having appliances supplied through a kitchen installer, and they’re sourcing from this company, make sure you know exactly who’s responsible for what—because if your installer fails to pay, you may get dragged into something you have nothing to do with.

To clarify – we did not choose HBH Woolacotts as a supplier. We contracted and paid Wilson Fink in full for a complete kitchen package, including appliances. We have no contract with HBH Woolacotts.

We appreciate that Wilson Fink’s insolvency has left you with an unpaid invoice, but that is a matter between you and them. It is not appropriate to suggest that we are at fault for their financial situation or to involve us in your efforts to recoup that debt.

We were only in contact with HBH Woolacotts to arrange an extractor fan upgrade, not because we tried to bypass our kitchen supplier. We remain willing to discuss the extractor upgrade separately, but our position on the appliances we’ve already paid for in full is unchanged.

As always we were well pleased eith Wadebridge (Crina) and St Austel ( Victoria) shop assistants. Theyreflectwell the companys goals to schieve great satisfcion in all service and price. The removsl and replacement of our kichen hob wenttinely and smoothly..... Robin and Tom also represent Woolacotts well
