Hale Pet Door Omdömen 

I have two twenty year old wall type doors for my two large dogs. When I ordered flexible replacement doors from Hale, the new magnets and weatherstripping wouldn't fit. A telephone call to Hale reveled that the parts had been re-designed. However, they came up with the old parts that I needed and shipped them in two days, all at no cost to me. I was impressed. I would certainly recommend Hale to anyone.

The quality of product is superior, and I now have a new door once again with the installation of the new flaps. The only mistake I made is that I should have had the Hale people complete the installation for me rather than doing it myself since it is a bigger task than expected. Regardless, the flaps are installed, and while it took longer since it was DIY project, it was successful! I am thankful that I had a Hale Pet door installed years ago, and would have them do so time and again.

We are very pleased with our Hale Dog Door- it is a well thought-out product; well engineered with strong, durable materiels- it is built for heavy use, and to hold up for quite some time.

It was simple to install. The inside and tunnel are all together for you. Put it in and attach the outer portion. Seal it up and done.
Not a bunch of pieces to fumble with while installing.
I'll use these doors from now on.

The 1" high entry frame option was / is perfect for our Basset Hound / "Winston". He took to voluntary use of the door almost immediately. Best money I've spent on dog doors over the past 5 to 7-years. You can't go wrong!
We opted for the clear training door / swinging plastic slats option initially for training for a week, and received two heavier weight clear option panels to reduce outside airflow. Instructions for swap out of training slat panel is close to non-existent in the provided install guide. Would have appreciated better/more in depth explanation on how to effectively install the two heavier weight / clear plastic-rubberized bottom-edge magnetic sealing swing panels! I hope they don't rip off with our Bloodhound/"Bella-Mae" repeatedly running out the through the dog door panel / shoving from a much higher level!!!

The original door lasted 10 years before the flaps started curling where the magnets weren't really doing much good. The replacement flap kit arrived quickly and with very clear instructions for installation. However, the flaps have a metal bar at the top that is riveted into place so that the flaps are not held solely by the screws holding the flap into the door. I had to drill through 3 of those rivets in order to re-use the screw points on the door frame out of the 8 total holes I needed to make. How hard is it to ensure the rivet placement on the flaps are in a consistent position on the flaps and that the installers drill their mounting holes in spaces that don't conflict with those rivets?

Sent me replacement parts for dog door under warranty, at no charge.

I needed a door to fit in an existing screen panel in my pool enclosure. I spoke with customer service and with just a few measurements the door was custom sized to fit perfectly. Door is sturdy and functions perfectly. It took my dog about a week to be comfortable using it. Great product!

Very helpful when ordering and easy to replace dig flaps

This door was custom made for me and installed perfectly & easily. It is a very sturdy door and the bronze frame works well with our screened patio brackets. Hale was very helpful in the ordering process and a real pleasure to deal with. I love that they will donate to my pet rescue and couldn't ask for a better product or better service.

I needed a pet door thru the sliding screen door for my German Shepherd. I ordered a big 15 x 27 with double flange, this is important coz the double flange should have slid over the door frame like a collar but the flange is designed for 1/2" door frame, while my screen door is 1" thick.
The customer service was so excellent, they immediately helped me order the correct door 11 x 27 with a single sided flange and return the incorrect door for a full refund. After drilling 3 tiny pilot holes in the flange, my husband and I installed the pet door into the screen door while the screen door was still up in position, no problem. Couldn't be more pleased.

I really like my hale pet door mine is in the wall and goes out on the deck to the back yard all three dog two boxers and a cocker use it and in two years it's been grate it's nice and strong and I don't have to worry about them when I'm at work

I already emailed a comment to the company, but got no response.
I would have thought that with today's technology, they could have come up with an instructional video like most of their competitors. At a minimum, they could have printed instructions with more than just a rudimentary drawing. Pictures of the parts would have been helpful to make sure you have everything. Turns out I was missing some items, but since I didn't know exactly what I was looking for, I didn't realize it until after the 48 hours they give you to check out everything.
So, I guess it is on me. Frankly, I expected better from a "Made in the USA" company. I have seen better instructions translated by the Chinese. Granted, it was not a complicated install, but I would have liked to have had a better idea of what parts I was supposed to get.

I have had several different types of dog doors (the XXL types) and this has been the most durable and secure door. I have to replace the flaps every couple of years because my dogs are do tough on them, but am so happy to do so as nothing else even lasted nearly this long. Thank you!

We bought a small medium wall door for our two cats that were used to going in and out through an open back door. Got sick of the flies so got a pet door. Good looking and solidly built. Spoiled cats go to the door and wait for us to push the flaps open😕🙄. So we took one flap off but they are still hesitant to push through the other one. May have to remove the magnets. But for non-spoiled cats, this door would be perfect.

Excellent door good quality a little pricey but my dog is worth it!
The only question is how long will it last??? I hope a long time!

These doors are very well built and look great. We installed one in an aluminum Florida room door. The pet door matched perfectly.it looks like it came installed with the door. Hale is the only website I could find that offered between size pet doors. Thanks Hale for a great product
