iPad/Tablet full version
I’m a professional guitar player currently learning to read, play, and write sheet music.
Overall, the software is excellent — super easy to use. The display is clean and intuitive, and I really love it.
BUT: It really needs a full version that works on iPad/tablets.
That would make GuitarPro the ultimate guitar tool and ecosystem for guitar players.

Guitar pro es una excelente herramienta para componer de una manera en la que tal vez la forma tradicional no te sea tan util. Tanto para leer como para escribir es bastante completa, solo requiere que leas algo del manual, entiendas el programa (como todo en la vida). Empeze usando el guitar pro 5.2 hace mas de 15 años descargado pirata, despues de tanto tiempo me decidi comprarlo ya que ha sido una herramienta que he usado en toda mi carrera como musico y senti que ya era hora, de ponerme mas serio y comprar el programa ya que de esa forma tambien apoyo a la empresa que siendo honesto, ha hecho un gran trabajo. Lo recomiendo si realmente estas comprometido con mejorar como musico, compositor, aparte la tranquilidad de simplemente instalarlo con tu cuenta de manera original y legal en vez de arriesgar tu equipo con los programas piratas que ya sabemos que "gratis" no son, siempre hay algo de fondo que a la larga te rompe la PC.

OF course I found that GP8 is rich with features and libraries , but as a maker of LED-lit MIDI guitar controllers need to interface tablature to our fingerboard for display. And inasmuch as we are iOS-centric, we need to export the lighting stream from GP over BLE to the iTar. That's our goal.

Guitar Pro doesn’t currently support Bluetooth MIDI output (BLE), but standard MIDI output is available in the desktop version and might help with routing note data to your system.

Suite à un problème de disfonctionnement de GP8 je dois remercier Nicolas qui a décelé que GP8 par défaut n’été pas installé dans le bon Program Files (Program Files (x86) au lieu de Program Files) sa réactivité et ses interventions détaillées mon permis au fil des messages de retrouver un GP8 fonctionnel.

j'ai acheté Guitar Pro en Mai 2025, je le trouve très intéressant pour moi qui suis débutante en guitare. Le fait de pouvoir suivre la tablature, abaisser le tempo, bénéficier du métronome et pouvoir sélectionner un morceau en boucle me satisfait pleinement. Un peu galéré au début, de mon fait, car pas très douée en informatique mais cela va mieux et je recommande vivement ce logiciel.

Ce que vous décrivez semble plutôt correspondre à l’utilisation du son MIDI, qui est effectivement bien plus synthétique.
Nous vous invitons à activer le "RSE" depuis le menu "Son" pour profiter d’un rendu instrumental beaucoup plus fidèle.

It needs some improvements
It needs some improvements. I need to be able to move things below the TAB, so its not cluttered. Really hate the lack of flexibility.
Update Response: GP Team had been contacted before this review explaining the need to not stuff things like Palm Muting between the clef and TAB, as it’s cluttered. They seemed very uninterested. The stylesheet doesn’t address such issues. Maybe it’s not a popular request. IDK

Overall great product with a few usability quirks
Guitar Pro has a ton of incredibly useful features. Unfortunately, like with any program that feature rich, it requires a learning curve. Once you learn the keyboard shortcuts, it is fantastic.
A couple of small quirks - the lyrics editor is not very useful as is. I understand why they do it the way they do but it makes for a sub-optimal experience.
The songbook subscription is not useful to me because I can't edit any of the files. It supposedly has to do with copyright laws but save your money on that one.
