GO Outdoors - York Vangarde Omdömen 

Went to the Vanguard store this morning to buy some supplies for my caravan waited at the checkout for some time when I got to the till the chap said that you couldn’t pay cash at that checkout so one lost sale unfortunately

Visited to look at and buy some camping equipment. Alex and Charlotte couldn’t of been more helpful and were extremely knowledgeable about the products i was interested in it’s nice to know the staff Go outdoors employ actually care about the customer and make sure the customer goes away with the correct product for their needs Excellent service well done

Your staff member, Sue, was so friendly and helpful. She was extremely knowledgeable about the products and showed us a good range of water resistant coats to choose from with all the pros and cons.
Very happy with my purchase.

Shout out Mark in the running shoe section, massive help when picking out a first pair. Full of knowledge and advise. Will make sure I see him again for the next pair.

How refreshing to be offered genuine, knowledgeable advice in a store. The store manager who looked after us was excellent.

I called in to the store for a sleeping bag and expected to be outfaced with the choice but got some amazing advice from the staff who recommended the right one which wasn’t even a top price so thank you!
In addition Josh H provided me with additional information on sleeping bags before taking my payment and again advised me of the best options, saving me £10. Well done team!

There is a great selection here- maybe too much! So finding some one as helpful and knowledgeable as Sue to guide me through options is a real bonus

Sue was super helpful in finding me the perfect water proof trousers and jacket for my trip to the lakes this weekend, she trekked around the whole store looking for exactly what I needed!

Today I was served by Josh who was on his own at the tills. There was a queue building but he did not flap! He remained perfectly polite & went about his work apologising for the wait of which there really wasn’t much! He answered a question I had over an item & folded my other item which is rare these days! He was just the right amount of chatty & able to look me in the eye when talking to me! A very pleasant visit to the store today! More of this please! 😉

I went into to buy some boots but the shop was lacking in customer service, I had to search for an assistant and then it seemed like she would have rather been somewhere else. Maybe some training might help.

We shopped at York yesterday. We were finding walking Trousers for my husband 34S and couldn’t seemed to find any. I asked Issac who was so helpful he went round the men’s section checking which walking trousers you could get in Short length. He found us 2 pairs. He was so helpful.

Great quality product available quickly with click and collect.

Shocking customer service and I am a massive fan of Go Out Doors.

I went especially to Go Out doors as the staff as usually very good and knowledgable for some walking shoes.

I will not return.

Vanguarde York store - shop floor assistants are rude and superior in their attitude. Three of us went in to buy walking boots and after being told by one girl we’d have to wait till the other assistant came back, after a while he appeared and said ‘ can set my watch by you lot, you always come when we’re on 50% staff’. I’ve only been to this four times so ‘you lot’ must mean customers in general. When asked if he had certain boots in size 6.5 it was a flat NO, eventually after saying NO several times he said they don’t carry half sizes. None of my shopping experiences there have been pleasant and I will not be going again. Customer service training needs to be given to these people. However, the staff of the tills are very pleasant.

Mark was so helpful and informative in helping my 12yo son choose some trainers that fit really well, suited their purpose, looked good and were reasonable in price. He had knowledge, expertise in fact, and he had patience. He kindly spent the time getting it right and my son was absolutely delighted by the whole experience and he is happy with his new shoes. Thank you.

The product I needed to order arrived within 24 hours for free collection in store. The staff were kind and helpful. The range of products was really impressive and the pricing very reasonable. The sale items in particular were amazing for the price.
