GO Outdoors - Southampton Omdömen 

Paul F helped us in store today. One of the most helpful and knowledgeable people we’ve ever met. We’re pretty new to camping so his advice was a massive help. Give that man a pay rise!…the store wasn’t bad either…well laid out and plenty of choice.

My visit to the store in Southampton today was a real pleasure. This was mainly down to Shannon. Not having found what I was looking for, I asked Shannon for help and she was extremely helpful, polite, informative and helpful. There wasn't anything suitable on the shop floor but shannon said she would quickly check the stock room for sizes and anything suitable. She returned quickly with just what I was looking for. Shannon wasn't pushy, she just asked the right questions, listened and came back with what I wanted. My colleague and I will definitely be coming back.

I was shopping and a very rude lady came over and rudely said we closed 10 minutes ago if you want to buy them wellies run to till. I thought they shut at 8pm... there was no announcement saying they were closing. Man on till was ignorant and no thank you. I know they were wanting to close but I didn't know they shut at that time. I had my 2 young children with me and my son said why was that lady so rude!!! Get an announcement or have staff telling you they will be closing in plenty of time.

Discount card ordered on the car ferry £5, all nice and simple , before we arrived at Go Outdoors Southampton.
Staff super welcoming, the store has simply everything you could ever need to camp , Caravan , wild camp.
Absolutely every item of clothing you could ever need , sun , rain , wind , ice , hurricane lol .
The staff are all on hand to help , advise different options.
No one pushy sales pitches , had lots of fun exploring tents and testing chairs .
100% go and explore Go Outdoors.

I needed advice in buying a carp rod and reel. I know absolutely nothing about this equipment and I wanted to buy as a present.
Ronan was really helpful,knowledgeable and his enthusiasm around anything 'fishing was catching!

George the manager was fantastic and mostly patient with us! After going to the store 3 times in one day (twice by our own mistakes) he was very helpful. As two girls trying to upgrade their camping set up without knowing anything about Air tents or camping stoves he actively went out of his way to get a pump from the back for us and even helped us on our 3rd trip remove a metal attachment from our Cadac which we totally could of done ourselves we just didn’t know that was our issue.

Thank you for your help this weekend George, you’ve saved 2 girls and their dogs camping holiday!

The product was fine but the store didn’t tell me if was ready to collect!

Always our go-to store for camping bits as the staff are always so helpful and friendly. Lots of choice and good value for money, especially using a Camping and Caravanning Club card for discount, or Scouting discount as both our children get bits for their expeditions too. Thank you Go Outdoors, we’ll see you again soon!

Thanks to Joe Simes for recommending the perfect camping chair for my Granddaughter. He made sure of the load capacity and had her sit on it for size and comfort. She chose the lovely green one for her upcoming camping trip to Weymouth.

Thank you Go Outdoors (and particularly Paul F) for a great service. I was camping with my family when our inflatable tent exploded. We managed to get to the store with 20 mins to spare before they closed. Paul could not have been more helpful, calm and patient considering it was time to close. We got a great deal on a really good tent with lots of recommendations and advice. Thank you for saving our holiday.

I was picking up a backpack and sleeping bag when Paul immediately offered advice based on gear he has trialled and errored. Really lovely bloke. Everyone needs Paul when buying gear and are a bit in the dark about choice. I wish I could ask him every time I’m in an outdoor shop

I needed some help and Paul F was able to assist me very quickly.

Paul F. was really helpful in explaining to us how to connect the cadac to our caravan. He gave us really useful advice and without it we would’ve ended up going to the Isle of Wight without working gas. Thank you Paul!

Ordering and paying for the bike was straight forward enough, I chose to get it delivered to store for click and collect. However my date for collection came and went with no email to say it was ready for collection. I phoned customer services who said it had been delivered to store 2 days after i'd ordered, so before the date I had been given to collect it. I phoned the store direct and they said it was showing as still in transit and they didn't have it. The next day I phoned customer services again who confirmed it definitely had been delivered to store, they then phoned the store themselves who then confirmed they had received the bike after all. The reason it was still showing as in transit is because they don't scan it in as delivered in store until it's been built and ready for collection. As there was a delay in bike builds by about 4-5 days it meant i'd have been waiting about another week for them to finally say it had been delivered. It would have been better for them to let me know they had the bike as soon as it was delivered to store but then say there was a delay in getting it built. At least then i'd know what was going on rather than wondering if my bike had somehow got lost in the delivery process. In the end I picked the bike up and built it myself, it was only the handlebars, front wheel and pedals to put on so pretty straight forward.

I love the bike & would probably use Go Outdoors again. I just think a bit more communication would have been helpful.

Popped in to buy a pair of chairs for our new motorhome and were helped by Paul F, nothing was too much trouble and he was very knowledgeable about the products, if Carlsberg did customer service.

Travelled from Poole for an item that according to your website, was apparently in stock. Only to arrive and find non of the items available. Paul F, went above and beyond to locate the item from a recent delivery. Excellent customer service.

The waterproof jacket was delivered on time and exactly as described. Very pleased, we haven't had any rain for me to test it properly yet!

Staff Member - Paul F. Paul was exceptional throughout. I came to look for replacement poles and wanted to talk to someone knowledgeable. He was busy with two others customers, but we waited for him. You could tell he knew what he was talking about. He found us the poles, told us how to replace them. Then he gave us a tour of 4 new tents we asked about. Top notch talent. A credit to your store.
