I was helped by a delightful lady called Lauren. She was very knowledgeable and a breath of fresh air with her friendly and helpful attitude.

I had a great visit to the Southampton store today - after selling my camper at the weekend I needed a full camping set up ready for October half term!

I was met as I walked into the store by Mark who was fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly. Not pushy or presumptuous about what I needed to know as a lone female shopper. I was really surprised when speaking to Joe at the till to hear that Mark actually works in warehouse and not a customer facing role.

Mark is an asset to the Go outdoors team

We bought an ex display item which took some sorting out by the staff, but nothing was too much trouble. Everyone we dealt with was exceptionally helpful and Paul F gave us outstanding customer service.

Loved a lot of the kit and floor staff were helpful. The woman o. The cash desk was hopeless and looked miserable too. .we were spending hundreds of pounds and she just couldnt work up enthusiasm to be helpful. Staff should have training really, its very offputting.

I had a great experience getting help choosing a pair of walking shoes. Paul F was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail, making sure I found a pair that suited my needs. He was thorough, patient, and clearly passionate about what he does. His advice was really helpful, and I left feeling confident that I’d made the right choice. Excellent customer service and a real credit to him!

Excellent customer experience- A very patient Paul F did a brilliant job guiding us into the best sleeping bags for our needs and without whom we would have left without making a purchase due there being too many types to choose from.

Went to purchase some walking boots but undecided on which to buy. Called for assistance and Paul F. promptly arrived.
He was so helpful and knowledgeable therefore my wife was able to find a pair of boots that suited

Paul F was really helpful advising us on child backpack carriers. He helped with fitting the bag properly and explained everything we needed to know.

Paul F went out his way to explain how to mend a broken tent pole. He didn’t try to sell us anything ( although we bought two items anyway) , and was properly knowledgeable about the subject . We will be back.

I only went in with a view to getting some costs in my head to go Moto Camping from late spring next year. i was impressed by the store, well laid out and everything was easy to get to. when i did have a question i was helped out by Paul F who was not only a font of knowledge but a lovely bloke to boot. i will most definitely be going back for all the gear i need when the time comes.

After looking for a travelling backpack in a couple of other shops, we came to Go Outdoors.
We asked for assistance and were assisted by a very pleasant staff member (unfortunately we did not get his name). He quickly went to fetch Paul F. as he said has a lot of knowledge about what we need.
Paul F. was very helpful. Explained to us how to properly use hip straps and what to look for in a backpack. He showed great knowledge and patience and made the whole buying experience a pleasant one. The first staff member later came to see how we were getting on and advised us about parking validation as we've been at the store for over 2hrs.
We wish all the shops had someone like Paul F. and the young gentleman to assist their customers.

Paul . F was super helpful and talked us through all the options on the sleeping mats and helped us come to a decision. He spoke with passion about his experience of DofE reassuring my daughter about her upcoming expedition. Thank you Paul

This was our first experience of GO Outdoors and we were pleasantly surprised. My wife and I wished to purchase new waterproof coats for the coming Winter season. The store is very large, with numerous items from a very wide range of manufacturers. Therefore, we were very grateful for the assistance of one of the GO Outdoors staff who spent almost two hours with us whilst we tested out direct styles, sizes and combinations of clothing. She was extremely knowledgeable, knew the products well and provided frank and honest advice about the suitability of items. We were also informed about the GO Outdoors Club Membership which saved us over £100 pounds on our purchases. We would thoroughly recommend the store and its staff. We could not have received better customer service.
