GO Outdoors - Pudsey Omdömen 

I visited Go Outdoors on Saturday and spent around an hour and a half carefully trying on and selecting several items. Up until reaching the checkout I had enjoyed the experience and was in a perfectly good mood.

There were two members of staff serving on separate checkouts. The young woman at the far right checkout, who had blonde or light brown hair, was patiently helping an elderly couple. Their transaction was taking some time but that was absolutely fine. I understand that processing memberships and customer details can take a while.

The other member of staff, who had long dark brown hair, finished serving a customer and saw me approach. She looked at me, looked away, closed her till and walked over to the corner of the store. She then stood with a young male colleague with curly hair while they looked at a mobile phone.

Meanwhile I continued waiting and a queue of around six people gradually formed. Everyone remained patient and polite. The member of staff at the far right checkout was still doing her best to help the elderly couple but nobody acknowledged the growing queue or called for the other checkout to reopen.

After approximately five to seven minutes the member of staff with dark hair finally returned to the till. Despite me standing within two feet of her I said hello twice and was completely ignored. I then said hello again and waved to get her attention. She eventually looked at me and replied very forcefully, “I did say hello.”

She had not said hello. There was also no apology or acknowledgement that she had left customers waiting while she and her colleague stood looking at a phone.

At that point I handed back the clothes I had intended to purchase and left the store. After spending 90 minutes choosing everything it takes particularly poor service to make someone abandon their purchase at the checkout. The dismissive attitude was worse than the wait itself.

For clarity, this review does not relate to the young woman working at the far right checkout. She appeared to be doing her best while helping the elderly couple. It relates specifically to the member of staff who closed the other till, left the queue to form and then responded rudely when she eventually returned.

A very disappointing end to what had otherwise been a positive visit.

Go outdoors as always been my go to place for camping equipment. Good quality merchandise and a wide range to choose from, The staff are really friendly and always there to help when you need it. 10/10 rated.

Terrible, never received any emails or news on order whatsoever, after two weeks decided to call into a store to see if I could get any information, luckily I spoke to Kevin in the Pudsey store hes a legend so helpfull he checked on the systems etc and low and behold there it was so 5 stars for Kevin, 0 for Go outdoors.

I came into Pudsey to buy my son a fishing rod. Mark was so helpful and knowledgeable we wouldn’t have had a clue without his great advice.

We came in a few weeks ago to look at a tent. We were unsure if we should have gone for air or pole as we had read so many bad reviews on air beams. The manager cat approached us and was super helpful and explained all pros and cons of both the air and pole. With reassurance and the tips she gave we opted for air. We went on our first trip and had an amazing time. All the hints and tips were very useful. We look forwards to our next trip in October

Thomas Kelly served us on shoes -he was really busy but was really helpful What a refreshing change

Went to buy a sleeping bag and was served by a pleasant young man called Oscar, they didnt have the colour i was wanting but it was no trouble for Oscar to go searching in the back to see if they had the colour i preferred , alas they had not so purchased the one that was available, thanks for your help today Oscar 👍🏼👍🏼

Mark was amazing help finding and putting together our poles for our tent for leeds fest. He was lovely and made it very easy for us. Thanks mark !

Excellent service from the person at the bike shop (Nardo?), whose expert knowledge on bikes and enthusiasm for his work was superb. Mention to Amar too for her friendly service at the till.

Me and my husband originally visited on Saturday 22nd to look at bikes, we visited the store with a very giddy dog that barked a little at the staff, they didn’t at an eye at the pup and even took time to give her a little tickle and say hello to her! They were very helpful when measuring my husband for the right sized bike and even offered to have Nathan the bike specialist give my husband a call to talk through different bikes as he was unsure what would be best for him, unfortunately we did not get the lady or gentleman’s name that we spoke to on this day but they were super friendly, helpful and nothing was too much! We have just gone to pick up the bike on Monday 24th and the two staff that dealt with us Megan and Tom we’re very cheerful, helpful and very apologetic that they took a little longer to get the order for us (we were okay with waiting as we weren’t due to pick the bike up until the Tuesday/Wednesday as this was when it was due to be ready, however they had got it ready much sooner for us)! It was a nice experience to go to a shop and not feel like an inconvenience!! 🙂

The delivery by EVRI was not very good. It took 8 days and 3 trips to the store. When the parcel was delivered to the store, I went to pick it up only to find the EVRI driver had taken it away again, apparently bac to the depot. So, I had to wait another day for re delivery

Went into GO Outdoors Pudsey this afternoon looking for some new walking/hiking boots and Tony was really helpful. He was friendly, chatty and clearly knew his stuff, giving me some great advice on different boots, styles and sizing.

Really good customer service and made choosing the right pair a lot easier. Thanks again, Tony!
