When entering this gym (the UK Harrow gym) for the first time you can be fooled into thinking it’s amazing. The building is period, they have original features, workout over several floors…great.

After time you realise that the floors are uneven and a trip hazard, carpet is peeling and you will fall over at least once during your membership, the walls and ceilings are falling apart, lighting is depressing, music is terrible and little to no effort is put into maintaining the building.

There is no ventilation at all, the air in there is stale and dusty, not to mention the room with the leg press is surely a health hazard, no air movement, smells like the pool air is pumped into it, hot and humid.

Equipment often breaks, 2 of the 5 benches there are dangerous to use, they do not lock securely in positions, have buckled under weight before.

The pool is tiny and over chlorinated, the steam room might as well be the source of the next global pandemic, never cleaned, smells damp, often has litter inside, avoid or risk your own health, complaints have been registered and nothing changes.

Staff are generally friendly and welcoming. Cleaners will literally mop under your feet mid set, no regards for your personal space, which is alarming especially due to covid. Management, specifically Radu is rude and a shambles, there are an abundance of reviews name dropping him and his management, why Golds still have him employed is beyond my understanding.

Just avoid this place.

Do not join this gym in hanwell. I cancelled my membership when covid was at its highest, as I could not longer use the gym to its fullest. As covid restrictions have eased and I feel more confident in going to the gym, today I tried rejoining. I wish I could say this place is professional but it’s far from it. They have refused me rejoining on the basis I cancelled my membership before (I got it cancelled because I was right) look you have lost a potential costumer and I will not be recommending this gym to anyone I will be telling them to stay away! There’s plenty more gyms in Ealing 😂😂 Stay away people and keep safe ✌🏽

Do not join Golds in Hanwell. On joining I was assured that I could cancel at any time when I returned to working in the office and could no longer attend Hanwel. I tried to cancel and they are making me pay until May 2022. There is no customer service in this gym and they ignore concerns when raised. The spa was always crowded even when they had a booking policy but they did nothing. I’ve raised concerns about inappropriate behaviour in the spa and customer services didn’t even acknowledge my concerns. Machines are rarely wiped after use and with little facilities provided to this is it’s not surprising. Again customer services ignored my concern. This company is only concerned about getting your money and dont deserve customers.

I’m very disappointed with their services, I try to cancel my membership after the contract ends, and they didn’t accept that and continued to take my money without my permission. I let them know many times that I want to cancel my membership. In almost a year, I have not been there at all.

The gold gym in Hounslow is a very good gym with nice and clean facilities. The staff are extremely polite and very friendly. Fir the last few years that i have been using the gym, i never had any issues. It us extremely good value fir the money and the facilities offered have always been good.

I am a member of the gold gym, and have asked them to cancel my gym membership, as I am no longer living in the country. One of their terms for cancellation is relocation more than 15 miles away, which I have provided proof of, and they are still saying that they would not cancel my membership, so I am now stuck in a contract for a gym I cannot use. The service they provide is terrible and all they want to do is keep people’s money, and lack common sense.

I have been a Goldym member for the last 4yrs they have allowed a company called Civil Enforcement to managed their car park and if you forget to register your car registration will issue you a PCN right away. I am still disputing with them and they are the worse people to deal with. I am now considering ending my membership with Goldgym due to this issue. I couldn't find any manager at Goldgym that I can speak to regarding this matter since this is their car park.

Harrow branch, sent an email cancelling membership a year ago and still being charged, apparently they never have a manager and no access to manager rota and the manager has no email address only club email address which you wait atkeast a month for a reply from

Breaking a contract is a horror story. I resigned from the membership (the manager took care of it) but I was still charged. Half a year later I realised what was happening and of course nobody wanted to take responsibility for what had happened.

Absolutely horrible company. Don’t even bother joining them. Extortionate fees and practices. Moved 200miles away but still demanded I pay for the 2 months notice even though there wasn’t any possible way I could use the gym from 200 miles away.

This place is owned by ricky sandhu and his clan of rogues. Avoid any business with these cheats. They have rental appartments. Shame such people exists in this world. Save yourself some trouble and find an alternative place for your hard earned money.

Gold gym harrow is the most horrible gym ever. the manager does not have any sense of leadership and he lacks basic interpersonal skills. his attitude and manners towards customers and staff is really abhorring. he should not a manager at all because he lacks basic communication skill. he definitely not an asset to the people of Harrow

Do not join this gym. Rude and never understanding manager and does not talk to customers.

It's very bad.

When it's time for annual renewal, they didn't communicate with us and kept on taking money via direct debit. It's unfair and unethical.

I ended up paying more than £450 for nothing, as I noticed it so many months later. They obviously don't want to return any money. so, when you chose this gym, make sure that you cancel every year and then start a new one or don't check the option auto-renewal to make sure that you don't pay when you don't use.

Its very bad ,Espically Hounslow Gold Gym Manager Mehdi Hasan is one of the sick person who disrespects and misbehave and hang up the phone .His staff on board also like that .

Be very careful when joining this Gym. You feel like dealing with cowboys. I joined in March and cancelled within the cool off period and u until now I did not get my money back. The staff and the Branch Manager at Hanwell lie to you and they never communicate with you once they have taken your money. I guess it comes from the top manager (his name is Hadi) he is incompetent and he does not manage his staff effectively and therefore they are not accountable for their actions.

DONT GET RIPPED OFF CHOOSE PUREGYM OR THE GYM. Honestly i was injured and told them to freeze my membership for a short period, i needed 3months to recover and they didnt freeze. Instead charged me £100. every gym in the UK would freeze but they have a sneaky contract and you have to pay them their ridiculous price tag unless your reason matches their criteria Which it wont ( did u move house or are u unemployed, show us proof) They will ask you for all the evidence and still wont accept it. They dont care about you as a person, they just want your money and sneak you into a shady contract with Promotions (first month free) There is no way u can cancel ur membership unless you pretty much die. They would send u a letter to your house threatening you with court dates in order to pay them even if you didnt use their services.

I was a member for nearly a year at the Hanwell Gym.
A year ago I was attacked by a man in the swimming pool having two other witnesses and the CCTV.
After the immediate shock and calling the Police, the comfort I got from staff and management was that I must have done something to provoke his reaction. Apparently, men can attack you in this gym if you provoke them.
I made a complaint and they said that they had to investigate. I wanted to leave and they wanted to charge me the whole year.
I now know that this wasn't the only attack on women in their premises and there are reviews online to vow for this as well. It has been a year and I'm still not yet well.
Keep away from this toxic environment and especially if you are a woman. Stay safe.

i joined golds gym in the summer and i love going their the swimming pool lovely the staff are friendly and its very clean.one happy customer

Firstly, only leaving 1 star because you cannot give 0. 1 star is way too high for this establishment. Golds gym in HARROW has to be one of the worst gyms I have ever been to. Let's start with the staff: They are dressed up in suits, so one might be fooled into receiving a professional service...but you'd be sorely disappointed. Once my locker key was stuck and I went to get help. The staff were so disinterested and told me to wait for one "strong" member of staff to open it. They cannot even respond to emails in a timely manner.. I doubt they check it on a regular basis. Also The manager is very rude, cold and unsympathetic. If you have an issue, don't expect help, just expect him to be condescending in return.
Now onto the cleanliness of the gym: Very poor. Hairs always on the locker room floor, water everywhere. Toilets always dirty. Could not even bring myself to use the sauna. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE.... DO NOT BE CONNED BY GOLDS GYM.
