We were very happy with the service provided by the Global Carpet team, from booking the job (three bedrooms, landing and stairs) to installation. Some heavy furniture needed to be moved by them and there were no complaints. Price was very competitive and the work was completed quickly and on time. Recommended.

It was a nightmare dealing with Paul and his colleagues. They did our laminate and carpet yesterday. No communication after receiving payments. No updates given when they will arrive to install the floors. Arrived late after giving few calls. Paul doesn't pick his phone, so everytime I have to contact through his website phone number then he would pick call. They removed the doors for skirting/ floor purposes but failed to put it back. When asked about it Paul was so rude. You need to do it yourself or arrange someone to do it. Very incomplete and unprofessional behaviour. Service is poor. Attitude is poor. You are basically dealing with illiterate guys. Do not recommend them.

Highly do not recommend these people. They have huge miscommunication. They do incomplete work. They removed all the doors but failed to put it back. When asked about it Paul was saying you have to get a carpenters to do it ourselves. He charges for everything once he got paid absolutely no communication whatsoever. Very very unprofessional. Poor service.

There is no comparison choosing a carpet in your house versus in a shop. You see the color in daylight in the room it is going to be in. Also, Paul came out a bit cheaper with his quote than the shops, but the convenience of choosing the carpet at home is what will make me come back in future. The carpet was installed quickly and professionally and looks great.

Excellent service - no hassle what's so ever & very reasonably priced compared to others we quoted! Paul was a gent to deal with & all work was completed within a week of our consultation. Carpets & flooring all compete to a very high standard by the two lads - very nice lads & extremely professional. Would highly recommend Global Carpets to anyone thinking of renovating.

Positives and negatives about Global’s business model. Chose Global after seeing their super positive reviews. Think paying Global up front was a mistake as they seemed to have no interest in us after being paid. There was a major disconnect between Global and the fitters. Having Global provide carpet selection at house is really very helpful. However, after Global did their measurements and booked their fitters the fitters left us with bare boards and nail grips for about 2 weeks on one flight of stairs. The fitters said that Global had made a measuring mistake and they didn’t have any carpet available for that whole flight of stairs. We learnt the hard way that we couldn’t use one flight of stairs to the kitchen wearing slippers and had to wear shoes due to the nail gripper boards biting through slippers for about two weeks. We couldn’t let grandchildren near the stairs. It was also very awkward carrying a tray downstairs. The fitters removed the old carpet and had left it outside They advised it had gotten too wet to put back on the stairs. We had also wanted to keep that section of old carpet as well as the carpet from 2 other flights of stairs for our daughter’s houses which was disappointing. Explained all that to Global many times but Global didn’t appear to have influence with the fitters to fix the problem any earlier so it took 2 weeks to resolve. No recompense offered for lost carpet. In the end the carpet fitting seems fine but the idea from the online information that the fitters and Global were working together was a fiction. Be wary.
