Disappointed lately with their pallets due to items being missing etc. Be careful to order due to no system in place to ensure you get all your items.

*Micro SD cards snapped in half, then put in an adapter to hide it.
*Pen drives that had literally been ran over.
*Screen protectors that had been used & put back in the box.
*4 x Dead PCU’s
*Used in ear headphones full of wax.
*Bluetooth speaker with no charging port.
* Charging cable that gets red hot in seconds.
*Hard drives that had been used & still had pictures of peoples families on.

Just a few highlights of my first experience with Gem.

I really don't know why this place has so many good reviews, either the reviews are fake or I was just extremely unlucky.

My guess is that the people that are selling their junk to Gem are the ones that are writing most of the good reviews.

Why are big retailers selling stock that is only fit for the bin & why are Gem buying it from them & re-selling it ?

I like my reviews to show facts so you can make your own mind so here goes:

Tech & ‘Fun’ pallet = £800, contained 146 items.

Out of the 146, 90 were either broken damaged or missing parts & out of these 95, only 10 items were saleable & at greatly reduced cost due to the condition.

So out of 146 items only 61 were in half decent saleable condition, nothing was what I would call decent, most were not in retail packaging or the packaging was badly damaged & most of the saleable items were under £10 not ideal for online sales when postage is 35% of this, factor in fees & VAT & there really is no point in even listing them.

I would look back at exactly what I made from the £800 pallet but it was a while ago & I really don’t want to depress myself anymore, but as a ball park figure I sold about £900 worth of items which after VAT, Fees, Postage & Item Costs netted about £300.

The bulk of the retail costs were the damaged & completely unrepairable memory cards / stick which amount to roughly 35% of the total retail value of the pallet.

Gem will tell you that items are sold as seen & may need to be repaired for resale but you can still make decent profit, this is just not true unless you are a magician in the case of the memory cards or you have a degree in electronics & a fully equipped workshop for everything else.

After this pallet I did decide to purchase a few other lots of clearance stock which is the hardest to get, you literally need to be sat on your PC refreshing the screen all morning & you don’t even have time to check the prices if you want to buy it.

It would seem Gem take all retail prices from the day the product was released & they will always quote the highest price they can find online IE Laptop that is £600 on Currys website they will find for over 1k somewhere online & put that RRP.

All in all a bad experience, if Gem did the decent thing & refused to buy unrepairable items this could be a decent business, but selling scrap for any amount of money other than scrap value is dishonest in my opinion.

got first pallet only complaint chip pan with oil still in it, couple of items had screws missing and one bullitt broken in bits out of 64 items that was not bad rest only had minor jobs needed doing which most included plugging in and checking. second pallet arrived this week 4 items beyond repair, screws missing and plenty of good items I can make my money back. I will be getting another pallet soon. thanks gem

So after reading these reviews I was in two minds if I should purchase a palette... in the end I purchased 2 one a nursery one an one a mixed household...

I wanted to leave this review as I was presently surprised an the customer service I received was excellent. I wasn't invited to leave this review I choose to leave this.

Pallets so nursery pallete I had a few things that were not usable at all but was like a blow up chair an a walker... apart from that all good I am using for the baby I just had... pram brand new in the box just missing rain covers. All safety gates fine an in use able condition overall excellent

Toy pallete woth household inside 2 things not working one a microwave an the other a Harry potter thing... everything else just missing simple things like a charger or screws I ended up with excellent presents for my children for xmas non unsafe as my dad tested them an this was his job before he retired....

It was a risk but you must understand these are returns you must be prepared to fix or purchased things to be able to fix an some things can't be fixed but that's the risk with returns its not gem wholesales fault...

Delivery was good 2 days an arrived at 9am they rang to say they were on the way...

Over all it was a risk but with a few screws an a few chargers etc I have come out on top... I've even made a profit from 2 xbox one controllers that has been returned as ... wait for it they were making the Internet slow 🙈

I have so far purchased two pallets from this company and they are great! always call me to help me out with delivering to my house and work around me. would highly recommend. But don't come on here complaining about how bad your pallet was, this is a risk you take and its plastered all around the website, so far only one item was not sellable. I will be back time and time again.

I don’t know who is writing the reviews for this dreadful Company but they must be on commission! I spent a total of £580 on two pallets and received a load of rubbish. I opened a box containing a broken Fryer which still had fat in it. When I raised this with their ‘Customer Service’ they advised me, that that was nothing, usually they send out microwaves with Sunday dinners still in them.
Basically I was told by the Company that you pay your money and you take your chances! Which is fine, but two pallets containing broken electrical items with no opportunity or guarantees to get your money back. This is a con-mans charter and total rip off! Please save your money and buy wholesale from China. Gem Wholesale will send you worthless goods fit only for the local skip.

I have been buying from Gem for close to 1year now and so far my experience has been good. I had issues with my very first order payment and they reserved the items for me for more than 1week until I resolved the issues. Even though I was a new customer, they trusted and supported me. I have only bought new items so haven't had any damaged products. I'll definitely buy from them again.

EDIT: - I have to edit this review and only give 3 stars because they have upped the prices on the stock by 9% on some pallets.

they have wholesale in the title and dont give wholesale prices no more so is misleading.

new customers will think they can make money when buying their stock but infact some of the items sold are selling new on other sites for less money like ebay, amazon etc.

i sell on ebay and you could brake even and make money on some pallets so it wasnt an issue but now the prices have went up by 9% on some pallets, you really have to stop and think and do research before spending money, theres tvs on the site still that i wouldve bought if the prices were the same but you can get the same tvs NEW on ebay for around £80 cheaper. so i may asell buy those and try reselling (obviously i wouldnt do that but im making a point)

also some things are priced way expensive, they did tell me that it was catalogue prices but they should have on computer what the REAL RRP prices are and not the hiked up prices from catalogue as this charges us even more money when we buy.

every thing has a sealing price and when you put the factor of hiked up catalogue prices by 20% - 30% no one is making money.

the people that work there are friendly

great website and great people running it, very quick to email back and when you order they do call you to make sure its not fraudulent so i liked that they were cautious like that, the items for sale are great and the small electrical returns are a great way to make money if you have time and knowledge in sorting them out and testing them. delivery varies but they get delivered in the order you buy them and well packaged

Be alert of gem wholesale and their invited positive feedback. Whenever there is a negative feedback, you will notice that it will flood with a bunch of positive feedbacks from invited person. These are not genuine positive feedbacks.

Pay more attention to the negative feedback. I bought 3 pallets from them and 100% of the items are faulty. They are missing important parts, electrical items do not power on. When I open many faulty items to fix I discover that the screws are loose. There are clear signs of being checked and attempted to fix and no luck. Some circuit boards inside has connection been glued. Some toys battery cover lid are missing.

They are not innocent and they do know what they put into each pallet.

They offered to resolve the issue if I remove the negative feedbacks which I cannot agree as it will sacrifice integrity.

I've prepared to accept my loss but I want to warn people who potentially think to go business with them. Be careful and stay away with them if you want to keep your money safe. You want to go to a trustworthy business wholesaler, not gem wholesale.

The reason I left 3 feedbacks is because I had reached out to Gem over the phone and email. They are arrogant and rude as their replies on reviews always. I've been asked to remove the negative feedbacks over the email. They choose profit over trustworthy as a business. Customers shall be warned. They twisted the negative feedback are coming from buyers who do not understand the nature of their business. If the nature of their business is to scam buyers by shuffling 100% faulty products, I have to say that yes I don't understand. If potential buyers do a bit research, they can find raw return from a decent company or directly from high street retailer turn to have about 75% successful rate. To prepare the worst maybe 50%. But 0% successful rate had gone over the line to be scam and non-scam as a business.

Been buying from Gem for a few years now and have bought returns and clearance. You do get some rough and damages stock in the returns but you shouldn’t be buying this stuff if u cant repair. Overall been very happy with the stock boughtv

I have made multiple purchases from Gem and have always been very impressed with the customer service and the products, emails are quickly replied to and the pallets have always been accurate to the manifests online.

We are new to Gem Wholesale - the service is brilliant and its clear as to what you are buying. The items are brilliant. All round this company has been a pleasure to do business with.

I bought a job lot of clearance jewelry from this company. It was marked as clearance as are returns etc. The condition is stated in their info. The jewelry was beautiful and as listed, although the RRP was the price as sold by the original vendor and was above that charged by other places. My buyers were very pleased and I made a profit. That said, if you check the RRP at several places, add the VAT and work out your sales costs I would say you will do well. I NEVER buy the RE stuff.

Absolutely scammed.
Bought a box with watches and jewelry from these scammers. They need reporting to Police first of all . The parcel I’ve bought was nearly £900 . When I’ve opened it couldn’t believe what a bunch of rubbish was in that box . They named jewelry some earrings that probably been collected from a bin or something. The watches came with no batteries in , faulty, boxed in some sort of boxes covered in paper . And as a response they saying that they are not aware of what are in those lots. If that’s the case how do they price them up like that . It could’ve been nothing but scrap metal . Anyway please read all the reviews and be aware of these scammers . What a waste of money .

50% of the products sent were absolutely battered and didn’t work all electrical items were broken do not recommend

I have brought a couple of pallets from here now and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of goods, the delivery service and staff are faultless, always available to help if needed. Great service, definitely coming back again.
