I disliked the extortionate price to buy a headboard that cost £288 for one with struts but a ridiculously expensive £650 for one where wood which went to the floor and is largely unseen and has no upholstery on it barring the sides.
I simply cannot understand how it can be even more than double the price it just doesn’t make any sense. Plus for what you are buying even £288 was expensive.

Ordered two beds, leather sofa and wardrobe had bad experience regret it very cheap quality paid lots of money had greenty as well wardrobe door has stuck to open it turn bind can't open the door delevred was in march two months ago very disappointed furniture Village customer service is really bad not sort out the problem Sent them images complaints our sofa beds and wardrobe still waiting for them reply to me called them many times I wish couldn't buy anything from furniture Village cheap rubbish quality bad customer service not helping me

Saw what what we wanted online, but wanted to see actual colour. Went in store, salesman found the item, it was the ideal colour. Put a deposit down, then paid in full the next day, when we had more funds in the bank. Salesman was very helpful.

Mike was brilliant today offering advice and guidance on purchasing our new dining table and chairs. Very helpful and took the time to explain everything in detail, without feeling pressured for time.

We bought Dining table, Dressing table and Bedside tables from here and all are good. Delivery was absolutely fantastic , they assembled and made sure it's fine, Thanks to Delivery team of Ellis, Brandon and Felix who patiently wait for us before our arrival for Delivery

Wasim at the Birstall understood what we were looking for and helped us shortlist the best dining table for our family. There were so many to choose from.. he was brilliant!

Mike was very attentive whilst I was looking at the different products. Offering help and assistance when required. He understood that I was looking at other options as well. But in the end it was his professional approach that made decide to come back and proceed with my purchase.

On entering the Birstall branch we were greeted and left to browse the showroom, we was looking at sofa's and when we found one that we were ,interested in we got chatting to Richard Hurford who was very friendly (even made a decent coffee), talked us through everything and even did us a good deal, after making the purchase we decided to have a look upstairs at beds where we were met with Hiffy Laher who pointed us in the right direction for our needs again talking us through the different bed setups, needless to say he did us a good deal on an already discounted bed,other than an empty bank account now we were very pleased with both sales and purchases.

I thought the showroom was lovely and spacious, so many sofas to look at.
When i chose which one I wanted the sales man who dealt with it was very friendly, polite and professional, the transaction went through very smoothly, very impressed.

Great experience. Mixhael was lovely, very knowledgeable and helpful. Felt in good hands , could explain the situation and discuss options without any pressure to buy.
We chose a lovely sofa, and are returning soon to purchase a divan bed and some lights.

4 weeks since the defective table was delivered and still waiting for confirmation from the admin team that a new top has been ordered as agreed. It appears that the front line, telephone answering employees, are being badly let down by the staff in the back room and also by suppliers who can’t be bothered to respond to complaints about defects. I will keep posting daily until the situation has been resolved as I assured them I would do if I hadn’t heard from them by today 1st June.

Latest update June 2nd. We will be contacted by the Doncaster fulfilment centre/supplier to arrange delivery with it expected to be ready in 4-6 weeks. Not heard anything since then.

Latest update 20th July. Still no table top replacement. I emailed and received a response days later (this is 2026) giving me a number for the Doncaster centre ( customer services clearly can’t be bothered to do it themselves.) They claimed to have called to arrange delivery date and had no answer. Ok I said, let’s arrange one now. Oh no, they couldn’t do that right now for some bizarre reason and would definitely ring me back by today (I knew they wouldn’t and they haven’t obviously). So the wait goes on…. The sad thing is that none of this is particularly difficult. HR need to recruit people who are actually bothered to do their job, and more importantly, do what they SAY they are going to do!

Update 31/7/26. Good news! Replacement day! Bad news! It’s just as bad as the first table top. Leafs pull out like a rusty nail on a chalkboard though can be achieved if built like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Recently we even went into the showroom to try the butter smooth version on display just to confirm we weren’t going mad.Fitters think it’s a manufacturing issue but either way, refund now required. 7 months in, what a total and utter shambles.
Customer Services as usual seem to be unable to have people on the phone with any ability to refund, always just pass it upwards to a more “senior” level who then take days to return your call. He even suggested we would only get a refund for the table and not the matching chairs we bought with it from them! What on Earth do they think we would then do with six non-matching chairs when we finally get a working table from a reputable company? Watch this space.
1/08 Customer services have now requested a video of the issue…. the issue spotted by their own fitters, who submitted a report about it and agreed it was exactly the same issue as previously. They clearly have zero trust in their own employees. I will submit another video tomorrow, which will be identical to the first one because… it’s the same problem!! I can see this ending up in a small claims court to get a satisfactory outcome. And all we wanted was a functioning table and matching chairs!

Called in here (Leeds -Birstall trading estate) to look at their range of headboards for a recently purchased Bed. They had a good range with an excellent choice of fabrics and colours.
Richard who assisted us was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
We have shopped here a few times over the years, and based on our experiences would recommend.
