I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this company showed unprofessionalism at every level. From the outset, it felt like profit mattered more than customer care or pride in their work.

From the moment I received a quote, I was bombarded with multiple calls every day for nearly two weeks until I made the booking. This level of pressure was frustrating and immediately made me question the legitimacy of the company.

When I proceeded with payment, I was accidentally double-charged on the invoice. While this was later corrected, it added to the growing list of issues.

On the day of the confirmed delivery, I was informed midday that there were no drivers available and that delivery would instead take place on the next day so the day of my event. No compensation was offered for this major inconvenience. I was also promised a delivery tracking link for a narrower time window which never arrived. Instead, I received a very informal text from the driver saying he was “8 minutes away.” Given the late delivery, this lack of notice was unacceptable.

The furniture itself was usable, though some items showed visible wear and tear, and wooden benches caused splinters. It “did the job,” but did not reflect a professional hire standard.

The collection process was the most stressful part of the experience. I emailed early in the morning, before 6am requesting a narrower collection timeframe, as we live 1.5 hours from the venue. I received no response until a phone call at 10:30am saying the driver was 30 minutes away. I was then told I should have received a tracking link—which I hadn’t. It was sent only after this call, by which time the driver was already 15 minutes away.

I spoke with multiple staff members who gave conflicting information. One person stated nothing could be done and that a £150 recollection fee would apply. An email from Sam in accounts said it would be £45. Becky advised she would speak to the driver to push to get collection later on the intended day to avoid next day recollection and call me back - this never happened. Meanwhile, I received emails from Ellie and invoices from accounts demanding additional payment before anything was properly confirmed.

Despite our original delivery being a day late, no compensation was ever offered. When I raised this, Ellie claimed she was unaware of the delayed delivery, which was surprising given she was involved in the booking process and looking after my order.

Eventually, after several follow-up calls and emails, the recollection fee was voided—but only after I chased this myself again the following day. The lack of communication, accountability, and internal coordination caused unnecessary stress for both myself and my partner.

Overall, this company demonstrates poor organisation, inconsistent communication, and a clear lack of customer care. I would not recommend them and will not be using their services again.

Used FurnitureHireUK for a recent trade show. They were the only vendor that delivered items on time, placed them right in my stand, and collected them back on time. Becky was incredibly helpful with organizing everything - right from placing the order to arranging deliveries. Would highly recomment.

Delivered the goods, table and bench hire. Not in very good condition, but hey it was last minute and needed urgent for weekend. Delivery driver offered 0 support. Another guy arrived and assisted.

Collection was a little shambles, asked for the racks / trolleys that (were not) dropped off. Collection lads gave a real “jobs worth” to the pick up.

Our key negativity is the super high charges for delivery £200 drop
And collection, then sneaked in a £25 for next day.. if you have more time use / find someone else. In fact for that price I could have bought them new. Won’t use them again, real rip off and upped their costs as they new your urgency and choices when let down.

Professional amazing service! The staff at Furniture Hire, especially Ronnie, who was amazing from the moment I made an order. He guided me on the options to take to ensure the delivery of the goods went smoothly, providing me with tailored choices that met our event's specific needs. I have used furniture hire uk now for many events, both business and personal. Couldnt reccomend enough. I even used them for my daugthers wedding.
Staff have always been very accomodating to my sometimes tricky or last minute requests.
I would not hesitate to use again in the future

Horrendous service

Very unorgansied and and unprofessional. Informed us 1 day before delivery they are having transport issues. Trying to up the cost by £1000! Then apparent system errors on the chair cost meaning each chair will also go up in cost. All of this 24 hours before they are due to arrive. Endless lies and nonsense excuses given.

Stay clear.

Don't use this company. They are far more expensive than others. I found a quotes 1/3 of the price with City Furniture and Funky Furniture.

They are sneaky with their T&C's and we had to pay 25% for an order we didn't even commit to after informing them 1 week following their quote we no longer needed the items.

Disgusting company. Their van hit me in October. I called 5–6 times and was ignored until I threatened to report it as hit and run. Katrina finally emailed asking for my insurance but delayed giving me theirs. I had to ask 3 times. She even gave me a fake phone number. Promised me a courtesy car, now refusing it. I dont even think she knew what she was talking about. Six months wasted and my car’s still not fixed. today Rebecca answered nicely at first but turned rude when she realised it wasn’t a sales call. Katrina then had the audacity to blame me for their delays and became extremely rude and was shouting at me so I had to put the phone down. If you ever owed them anything, they’d chase you for every penny!!! but when they’re at fault, they lie and hide. Total scammers — avoid.

Here’s the context for my positive feedback: I hired 200 Chiavari chairs from another hire company for my son and future daughter-in-law’s wedding on Sunday, 18th August. About six weeks before the wedding, the company informed me they couldn’t deliver the chairs on the weekend, a day before the wedding. The wedding venue couldn’t accommodate a weekday delivery, creating a significant logistical issue and causing much distress, as 200 guests were expected.

In desperation, I contacted Furniture UK and spoke with Becky. I explained my dilemma and requirements for hiring lime-wash Chiavari chairs with matching seat pads. Becky checked her system and confirmed that I could hire the chairs and have them delivered at the specified time, even providing time slots! Her knowledge and understanding of my difficult situation reassured me that the booking and delivery would be on time. Becky also promised to call me two days before the wedding to confirm the hiring of the chairs and to reassure me that everything was in order.

As a retired Operational Manager in local government, I am acutely aware that what is promised is not always what is delivered. However, I am pleased to say that Furniture Hire UK delivered the chairs to the venue well within the time slot. The chairs and seating pads were clean and of quality. The day after the wedding, Furniture UK collected the chairs promptly, as the venue was booked for another function.

My experience with the quality standards and professionalism of Furniture UK is five-star. I especially want to commend Ms. Becky Withey, who was incredibly knowledgeable with excellent customer practice and was most helpful in aiding me with hiring the chairs. Her advice on securing the delivery timings and arranging the collection was precise. Family and friends have asked for recommendations for hiring furniture for events, and I have not hesitated to recommend Furniture UK and specifically to contact Ms. Becky W.

I recently ordered furniture from Furniture Hire UK for an important event my company attended, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. There was an error with the collection date, which I strongly believe was due to a mistake on their end. Despite having agreed on a specific collection time, their staff failed to arrange it correctly, causing significant inconvenience.

What was even more frustrating was the lack of accountability from Furniture Hire UK. When I reached out to resolve the issue, they refused to acknowledge their mistake and took no responsibility for the error. It was clear that they were not interested in addressing the problem or making it right.

I want to warn others that if you encounter any issues with your order, don't expect Furniture Hire UK to be helpful or responsive. Their approach to customer service is severely lacking, and this experience has left me with a very negative impression of the company. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere if you value reliable service and accountability.

We needed furniture for delivery asap as ours we had ordered hadn't come. The sales staff were on it, and we had no issues til the order came. We had specifically asked what the state of the tables would be and we were informed they would be all quality checked and cleaned before coming out - either the person who does it has a different perspective of what it or isn't acceptable or it wasn't done. The table tops were scuffed with marks all over them and as they were a rattan style there were parts broken and sticking up. I ordered two parasols and no weights came to hold them down, I called to ask for them the second delivery came out and still not enough weights for the parasols. Raised this as a complaint and the only response i received was a manager passing the book and blaming someone for the downfall of my order. I don't need to know who's issue it is, I was merely flagging the issues so they could be internally rectified, perhaps a training need whatever that looks like. In stead "we haven't had any other complaints" and "not our fault" was all i received therefore the raising of concerns was pointless it seems. Disappointing to say the least.

This company is great when it comes to hiring furniture for various events. The customer service they provide is top notch and they are really quick to respond to any queries. Every is really friendly and you are always guided along the entire process so there is no worry or hassle.
