Many road delays making the meals up to 2 days old by the time they arrive. As a result, these “ready to eat” meals are not arriving “fresh” and spoil within days of arrival.

The only reason I gave 4 stars is…
The only reason I gave 4 stars is because twice I’ve received ingredients in poor condition. In this last order, one of the sauces had spilled all over the bottom of the box and the mushrooms absorbed most of it. In the previous order, the cilantro was brown. Other than that, everything is good.

I really like the meals
I really like the meals, they are tasty, healthy, and varied. The portions are good, and we usually have leftovers. The only reason I didn't rate it at 5 is - there are not enough fish options, such as salmon, pickerel, etc.

Amazing product - dont let the horrible sign up turn you off
First things first: fresh prep has the absolute worst sign up process i've ever experienced. They require you to pay them for a full order before you can look at any of their products or menus.
It's the most insanely consumer unfriendly approach to doing business I've ever seen - pay us $200 just to see what we do. It is mind-blowing to me that it ever was able to operate in the first place.
That said, the product, once you get it, is amazing. The food is in amazing quality, the menus are varied and flavourful, the prices are higher than competitors but still close, and the delivery is impeccable.
If you're ok with the worst, most obnoxious, anti-consumer sign up process you've ever seen - then you will be rewarded with a great product at a reasonable price.
Very thankful I tried them, despite their anti-new consumer business model.

Love that there’s little garbage and everything is returned.
Meals are like ordering a fancy meal in a restaurant , different than what i would make.
I ordered a premade meal once but did not like it.

It's relatively easy to prepare, but it's not instant or magic, and I find it hard to cook three meals at one go ... I wish I could just order one meal, twice a week, but I know that delivering costs money. The meals are large enough for three people IMO, not two, so that's handy. The ready-made meals are single serving and much less of a deal.

I would have given a zero star if that…
I would have given a zero star if that was possible. Such a bad service experience by this brand as the bag was scheduled for pickup today, I left them outside my apartment in the given timeframe. The driver never showed up nor called us for the buzz, i’m at home trying to track and wait on the driver and suddenly i received a message saying the delivery has to be rescheduled. I need to know where and when was i contacted and why do I have to reschedule the delivery now. Do you think I don’t have anything else to do in my day except for waiting on the driver who apparently never shows up?

Great program
Great program. Lots of chef style choices to prepare in short time. Love the fact that I rinse out containers and return. Entire program is recyclable with zero waste. Love the service!

Not as tasty as Factor
I’m used to Factor Meals with Hello Fresh. I cancelled with them because their delivery service was absolutely terrible. I will say though that not one of the factor meals I had was disappointing. I find Fresh Prep meals too spicy. I find the chicken quality and smell is gross. I find a lot of the flavours and smells are Indian Cuisine vibes, which I am not a huge fan of. Sometimes the chicken smells and tastes like it was cooked with fish. I am not giving up but I have not been overly impressed. I would like more pasta vegetarian options.

I tried a dish called spicy laksa…
I tried a dish called spicy laksa shrimp and it told me to 1 or 2 cups of water so I added 1 so it doesn’t become watery but when I did the whole sauce was kinda watery either way and it tasted like I was eating plants strong taste of basilic I had to throw it in the trash the whole entire meal was tasting like basilic… I’m sure they have better tasty meals tho

I have generally had a good experience…
I have generally had a good experience using this fresh prep delivery service. The meals are usually tasty, convenient, and make cooking at home much easier, especially on busy days. I appreciate the variety of recipes and the freshness of most ingredients. When everything is included and prepared properly, the meals can be excellent and feel like good value for money.
However, there have been times when key ingredients were missing from my order, which affected the quality of the meal. For example, one dish could not be prepared as intended because an important ingredient was left out. This was disappointing, especially since the recipe depended on it. When this happens, it lowers the overall experience and makes the meal feel incomplete.However i did write to inform and in return was compensated with a small reduction
Suggestions for improvement:
Improve quality control to ensure all ingredients are packed correctly and more importantly fresh before delivery.
Add a final checklist or scan system so missing items are caught before orders go out.
I feel its important to add ,Whats working well is the fast and clear customer support when issues occur.
Offer fair compensation or credits when an ingredient is missing, as this shows accountability and care for the customer.
Overall, I enjoy the concept and the meals, and love spicy food I would never have tried some of these dishes if it was not for Fresh prep and feel its the right direction for a healthy life style for my family .I would continue using the service if consistency improves. With better order accuracy and stronger quality checks, this company could provide an excellent and reliable food delivery experience.

The meals are tasty
The meals are tasty, have good instructions and it's nice not to have a lot of waste.
However, lately we have been missing an ingredient or the amount of ingredients are not sufficient for the recipe. The company has been gracious to deduct or provide a credit for the errors. It has been unfortunate that is has happened on back to back orders.

I have now had four orders delivered and two have been wrong. The most recent had chicken past its BBD and packaging that looked to be tampered with...I call FP four times, four times they said they would call me back, never happened...also sent an email no response so far...very disappointing, especially with the possible food safety issue
