Rampzalig bedrijf, niet te bereiken 1 1/2 uur aan de lijn in de wacht en dan niet geholpen kunnen worden. Mag het morgen weer proberen, ook al had ik het gister ook al geprobeerd. Ze hebben geen directe nummers, dus hebben wij nu al jaren gedoe. Wij gaan
nu echt overstappen naar een andere aanbieder van veilig mailen. VPN is volgens hun non stop niet te bereiken, maar dan is hun service een giga-drama. Zoveel onkunde is echt to much, dit kost ons heel veel manuren en wij kunnen nog steeds niet veilig mailen terwijl wij er wel voor betalen.

Very capable products, but severely let down by their support and the general 'do not care' attitude. They released a firmware update which broke Auth and over 6 months later, they still haven't fixed it and have no plan too either.

My University uses Forticlient. Unfortunately it's not only that the client's UI looks like it's not been updated since years, it's also behaving that way.
The Mac version for example has bugs (blank white screen) that were reported already a year ago, but have not been fixed, altough a lot of people complain in various forums. The solution provided by staff members in the forum is to downgrade the client and to disable auto-update - this is not what I expect from a security software more than a year after the issue is known.
The windows-installation just hangs for hours in the background without an error message.
The linux version is poorly designed, as complaints here on trustpilot show.
Some years agi the University used Cisco AnyConnect. That just worked.

3 years of struggling! ended with FGT30E Fortitoken lost, We can't access fortigate firewall 2 factor authentication any more because the Fortitoken APP deleted. We can't restore it and Fortinet didn't provide backup for restoring it back, there are no support with fortigate! They didn't help us with any thing they will always say contact the partner for help!

In our company we are soon coming up on on our 3 year agreement. We have been using FortiEMS 7.0.X with FortiClient for Endpoint protection. and FortiGate for VPN.

The amount of downtime and service interruption this product have caused us, is no joke. They support if always helpful, but display a huge disconnect between Devs and the rest of their organization.
Final nail in the coffin came when we asked to increase our license number. Which they refused unless we move to their new and considerably worse (for us as customer) license and product line. (7.2.x).

I cannot recommend any of these products in good conscience.

Forticlient is the worst AV I ever seen in my life. Even avast is better. It flags everything as malicious. Would not recommend

Bad experience Fortigate 30E out of the box - cant access anything. Cant login default. Cant register Forticloud key - what a piece of s!"#%!!
Never fortinet again

A reliable VPN which makes the access to our remote server very easy

blocks almost everything i want to visit in my school.

Their Linux VPN client Forticlient is unreliable and works very badly on Debian. They claim they do not have support for Debian but they have for Ubuntu. Usually such software works in both OS:es since they are closely related, but for this it is not the case.

It comes in a wide range of versions depending on from where you get it - by official download, official repository or sent to you by an administrator. All should be the same but they are not, there are at least three different numbered versions available.

You have to re-install it several times to get it working. It will not connect up until the point you have re-installed it enough - whenever that is, it only hangs on "Connecting". I have no clue why it suddenly started to work so I expect it to suddenly stop to work too.

It fiddles with the account key ring randomly and reverts master password for it even though that has been disabled previously so the key ring dialog pops up.

And the worst thing, it refuses to connect automatically even if there are such functions built in because there are check boxes for auto connect. It just does not do it unless the login button is clicked.

It randomly starts some kind of "vulnerability scan" and when you click the login button it randomly pops up a 5 minute timeout errors and after that an error to try again. Sometimes it just connects. It is completely random.

Using an open source VPN client does not work either because they mess with the protocol so they does not work as previously documented, so you have to use their client, which as mentioned does not work properly.

Sure, if you manage to get it to connect, then it stays connected without problems, so I suspect that the underlying software to do that part is written by someone else, because it works.

We use Forticlient VPN inside our company branches and it really works great and I like that this software has many educational sources

They called the CEO to complain about me.

To do so we would also need your cooperation and I suggest you to use more appropriate language when working with TAC as this will not help both parties

Trust me, we want to fix this as much as you want but if you continue to use this language we will not be able to move forward

FortiToken has low usability: extra finger touch required, unhiding token requires additional button press. Extra input when exiting sleep mode. RSA SecurID much better.
