As a student i find spyware bad ngl it is extremely difficult to download a different browser like Firefox personally i have tried downloading vm software like VirtualBox it was blocked and called FREEWARE????
WTF HOW DO THEY KNOW MY PLAN??? HAS THIS HAPPENED BEFORE??? i have made and promoted the anti spyware act of 2026 in my school but no body listens to my cry for more privacy and i have a usb with vm software and a windows 11 iso tat i will use... 1 star...

The FortiClient extension is terrible. The thing is malware in disguise, and blocks everything, including sometimes new tabs. I created my own website, but I can't even reach it with the device I created it on. It is already rated 1.3 stars, and should get deleted from the chrome extension store. It blocks any game, and is impossible to take off, because task manager won't end the task, and clicking the icon does nothing. This would be rated 0 stars if I could.

The Company is very good. I dont understand the hate ?

FortiClient is really the worst VPN out there.
It is intrusive in the system (You cannot uninstall) and if it doesn't work the Log is useless.
You cannot have multiple installation in parallel, but every customer has its own installer.
Also, if I set up a new connection, it is gone after I click on save.
We are seriously thinking about denying our Service to customers with Forti.
I am writing this in private just to share the bad experience.
After some research for some hacks I was at least able to remove this piece of "Software".

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the support experience I’ve recently had with Fortinet firewall support.

The quality of support has been far below the standard expected from a company of Fortinet’s reputation. The support engineers we interacted with were not only unhelpful, but often displayed an arrogant attitude and a complete lack of basic customer service etiquette. At times, it felt as though we were being treated like we were receiving a free service, rather than being a paying customer entitled to respectful and professional assistance.

It is extremely concerning that your support staff seem unwilling or unable to communicate constructively during critical issues, which directly impacts our business operations. We expect technical competence, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to resolving problems — none of which were demonstrated.

We request that this issue be escalated to a senior support manager or regional account lead. Furthermore, we would like an internal review of our recent support tickets and a formal response outlining what actions will be taken to improve the service going forward.

This experience has raised serious concerns about continuing with Fortinet solutions in the long term.

Looking forward to your urgent attention to this matter.

Support barely exists, the first reply will not address any of the points you raised and is just there to get the response times under a contracted level, and it's not uncommon for a case to just go dark when the agent on the other end decides to stop replying when the case gets tricky. It's impossible to make a value argument for keeping a Fortinet product in support.

I use a website every day which never broke any of Fortinet's rules, but they set it as Phishing, even though it is not.

The installer for this application is absolutely terrible.
Downloading the latest version has me in a loop, it starts unpacking all the files but eventually just fails.
I check my event viewer to find error codes that when I google come out to be corrupt program error. HOW DOES A INSTALLER GET CORRUPT??? And there is nothing documented on the issue, no real way to get access to older versions. Eventually my colleague was able to send me the installer of a different version that had already been unpacked which worked as a normal installer. Please stop using this terrible VPN as there are other VPN options that are so much more reliable.

Automatic threat recognition, unfortunately not reliable. I suspect that they continue to detect a website as phishing just because it redirects to a Facebook page. Obviously without having logged in, Facebook asks to log in and their artificial "intelligence" does not understand that what it sees is the real Facebook login and interprets it as phishing. Repeated attempts to resolve the issue, but without success. Wrote to their support, never received answers other than automatic responses. So the service is useless and dangerous.

Horrible company and horrible VPN, constant failures! impossible to work! I do not recommend to anyone

Okay product, terrible support. Product is missing basic features available on all nearly all competitive products and substituted with their own paid versions of these things. I submitted a support ticket, they mistakenly closed it with a responds to another ticket. They CANNOT reopen the ticket they closed 20 minutes prior, they say its impossible. I sincerely doubt this, and what is the point of a ticket system you can't fix a mistake you made in. Now they had to make a new ticket with the same priority and they will not escalate it to get a response on the original timesline, so 2 whole days wasted waiting for a response and the response was just them doing nothing and closing the ticket... Security fabric is a bad joke. Many things that are very simple on competitive firewalls are complicated on a fortigate.

this is really bad, i want to visit some of the websites i have made, and it doesn't let me because of the category "this website was made recently" this is completely garbage, just because a website has been made recently doesn't mean its a scam website, and shouldn't even be flagged as suspicious. Also literally cannot access any sites without being flagged as suspicious. Always have to disable it to access the sites i use on a daily basis. Never buying again i do not recommend guys please it is not worth your money.

Fortinet has the worst support of all the time, not only they don't care about anything, but randomly setting false positives. I have domain that doesn't even have website and I didn't send any links to people other to myself while developing email verification. What did fortinet do? They gave us SPAM category and then PHISHING. Get your things fortinet

I do not recommend Fortinet products at any cost. Their documentations are badly written and their support decline to help out or connect to any TAC engineer for troubleshooting. Definitely don't go for their support packages and warranties as they won't help you out and tickets take a week to get answered.
