After much research online and even through friend referrals, my wife and I were taken aback by the costs involved with selling our first home.

Although our equity was healthy, we needed to make enough on our home sale to put toward the next home purchase. With that in mind, our net equity after paying seller/buyer commissions and escrow fees would have been less than our desired amount. So we researched further about using Flat Fee MLS listing service.

After doing the math and reading the reviews for Flat Fee Access, we began the evaluation process for using their service. Flat Fee Access list through MLS which is then funneled by all major online real estate listing sites including Zillow and Redfin. Linda was our assigned listing agent. We could not have asked for a better agent! She is thorough, answered all of our concerns along the way, assisted with the paper works, and most importantly prompt. Communication was a key factor for our listing agent selection and Linda was always available to take calls or answer over email in timely manner. Not to mention, she is very knowledgeable in the real estate sale process.

The whole service sounded too good to be true. But it is true and I am the proof. People wonder how they make $ for such low fee. I asked the same question myself. The service offsets its cost by offering some services through its affiliated escrow service and by using 'volume' model - the Costco approach.

If you are considering selling your own home and have the ability to take some photos and comfortable with showing your own home to potential buyers - this is perfect and highly cost saving service.

Highly recommend if you want to save 2-3% of seller commission.

Linda is the one that makes this choice so easy. She is very diligent in getting back to you usually within an hour. She almost always answers the phone. If you are contemplating using this service, don't hesitate and work with Linda. You will not be disappointed in her service and the amount of money you will save over a standard real estate agent transaction.

We decided to go with this company after having a bad experience with a similar online company. They were friendly and responsive from the getgo.. Only thing I would change is the escrow company as they weren't that friendly.. But overall worth the money..

Friendly staff however the escrow service they used was a bit hard to get ahold of..
