Fitzpatrick gave us an appointment so quickly - they called within an hour of the vet referral. The person I spoke to was efficient but empathetic - I really felt reassured. The contact with a previous vet and insurance company was seamless enabling the appointment to be set up extremely quickly. They were very transparent about the pricing.
Appointments were running to time and we were called quickly into the room. The consultant and the others 2 vets immediately made me and my dog feel reassured. They took time to make him feel comfortable and chatting to me getting to know him.
They explained what the investigation options were and in no way pushed for any unnecessary tests, they explained options and I made the decisions.
I had a follow up call the next day to confirm test results and treatment plan and asked how the dog was.
I highly recommend them.

This company and its founder Noel Fitzpatrick promote Petplan who do not payout on genuine claims. So unfortunately you are guilty by association.

My dog was diagnosed with Juvenile hip dysplasia and on 8th October, she had a complete hip replacement. Sarah our consultant has been absolutely brilliant and very supportive.
She also diagnosed my previous dog with a number of issues after having unsuccessful stem cell treatment with another veterinary practice. I can't recommend Dr Sarah Girling enough.

My boy had to spend 12 days at Fitzpatric. As soon as I entered the premises the reception staff were friendly and helpful.
You could tell that the vet treating my dog,Nadia Shihab, had genuine compassion and love for animals.she spoke to me ,and explained clearly what was possibly wrong and what the treatment options were.
As worrying a time it was,I felt completely at ease leaving my boy with Nadia, she has a way about her that you know she would do her best, and she did.
Daily updates to keep us pet owners happy and relaxed in a stressful time.
All staff are extremely professional and really care about their patients.
This is the best specialists vets I have come across. I would highly recommend Fitzpatric if you need the best for your pet.
Also they are there for you after treatment.
Once again a big thank you to Nadia and all the staff and vets.

Recently had to take our daschund to visit Noel for an operation on her paw. I can say with out any hesitation that the service & care she got while she was there recovering from her operation was exceptional from Noel & his team. I would highly recommend Noel & his team as there are brilliant at what they do for everyone's pets. Would also like to mention Chloe, who was so helpful at arranging all the appointments for me . Expensive clinic but this is what you will face in any special treatment or surgery place in the UK and even out especially when the vet is very professional and quickly manages the health problem pet.
The doctor spotted the problem before the MRI and made an easy ongoing diagnosis thake easy all the courses....These are expensive procedures but they operate with stunning clinical services this MRI is more accurate ....once they save your dog it is like your family member they are not too expensive
MARC PEREZ SOLERAS is an outstanding doctor and pet lover it feels good to go with him before surgery and after so no words just thanks to all especially MARC PEREZ SOTERAS and STEFANO MANCA so high professional service really raccomended

After seeing a different specialist vet who insisted the only option for our dog was to amputate her leg, we asked for a referral to Fitzpatricks. I am so pleased we did!
Using a new technique (which I freely admit I do not understand) she had a knee replacement and now, a year on, is totally mobile and pain free. It has been life changing for her and you literally cannot tell she's had anything done. Fitzpatricks were brilliant all the way through, the entire team, including Noel himself who did the actual operation and continues to see her for check ups. Yes, it is expensive, no denying that, but I found them to be very upfront about the costs. They told us what it would cost and that is what it has cost - no added extras, no surprises. We have a lot of dogs with complex medical needs so we see a lot of specialist vets. Fitzpatricks have been by far the best in terms of communication, care for my dog and not sticking us with unexpected bills. I would definitely recommend and would definitely use them again.
My senior cat was very poorly with neurological symptoms and needed an MRI. We traveled from London and had a great experience. They could not be nicer. They claimed a portion directly from my insurance - needed to set it up in advance but was straightforward. The neurologist was amazing and whilst the condition was rare my cat has made a full recovery. Nb if you don’t have a car you can get a taxi at the station easily and reception have a list of local firms for your return. Don’t worry.
Quite clear he is in it for the money never mind the welfare of the animals
Don't fall for the persona he tries to convey ££££££££
Took my dog for a second opinion here. Focus was very much on paying the bill as soon as getting through the door.
One month on and we are still waiting for vet's report!
Feel really let down, especially after seeing Noel on his tour. Now realise this was also another money spinner.
Now have completely no faith in veterinary service in this country.
I have 2 of my dogs coming to Fitzpatricks referral and I have to say all the people hear are absolutely amazing and such beautiful people, they all truly do try and do what is the best outcome for our pets , I am so honoured that they have helped me the way that they have and have definitely given me a shoulder to lean on , I can’t credit professor Noel Fitzpatrick and Sarah Golding enough and all of the staff there , I trust them, a big respect and love always to all of them A*******
Our vet said we needed an MRI for our dog and FR came up and was the closest, we met with Noel the next day and he confirmed our dog had IVDD and needed an urgent operation. We are now 3 months down the line and our Lincoln is doing amazingly all thanks to FR, thank you for saving Lincoln from paralysis we could not have asked for better care.
AVOID!!! The aftercare and lack of communication is absolutely appalling!!!!
Wish we never went there!!!
After my dog became suddenly paralysed I was referred by the vet to FR the same day. I waited anxiously for the appointment call. When it came at 20.30 in the evening ( which I was grateful for) I was told they couldn’t see my dog and I should take her to an emergency vet that evening and get another referral! ( I’d been at the vets that day) no apology ‘ I’m sorry but’ or the reason we can’t see her is’ I was so stunned by the abruptness and lack of clarification and lack of empathy in a difficult situation. I’m hoping that I was unlucky enough to get the unfriendly and unhelpful member of staff and the others are better. I never got to find out….. I did find out they were fully booked but not whether that was forever or just that week !!!!!
To clarify my earlier review. Until recently Fitzpatrick Referrals consisted of Fitzpatrick Orthopaedics and Neurology in Eashing, which comes under the direct control of Noel Fitzpatrick who works out of that hospital, as well as a sister hospital some 7 miles away in Guildford which was until last month called Fitzpatrick Oncology and Soft Tissue. (Collectively Fitzpatrick Referrals)
My understanding is that while Fitzpatrick founded the hospital and was a Shareholder and Director of Oncology up until last month, he was not involved in its day to day running. According to a recent email from Oncology, Fitzpatrick no longer has a stake in that hospital which is now rebranded as Aura and it is moving forward with the existing Directors who had been involved in the daily running and patient surgery and care.
My earlier review and 1 star rating is only in respect to the direct treatment my dog received from Noel Fitzpatrick and interns under his direct supervision at Orthopaedics Eashing. I stand by that rating and will forever regret seeking needed treatment from him and his hospital. I should have done due diligence and considered all hospital options before reaching my decisions.
When his cancer was finally diagnosed he was transferred to the separate Oncology hospital (now Aura) in Guildford. What a difference in atmosphere, professionalism, experience, level of staffing and overall caring for both dog and dog parent (as well as lack of priority on extracting payment) I am grateful for the dedicated care Oncology gave him.
It struck us at the time that, but for the Fitzpatrick name on the building, we would never have guessed Eashing and Guildford were owned by the same business. Now they are not.
I would advise people who are looking at these trustpilot reviews to differentiate between those in respect to the Eashing hospital (Noel Fitzpatrick) and those in respect to the former Fitzpatrick Oncology when making decisions about their beloved pet.
I note comments from other posters on the validity of 1 star reviews, especially if the grammar is not spot on!. Just because someone leaves a bad review, they should not just be dismissed as being angry and bad grammar has no relevance
Where do we start... our Delta was first admitted to Fitzpatrick Oncology & Soft Tissue back in September 2020, with a diagnosis that they needed to confirm (liver shunt). We woke up in the night and found her having a seizure August 2020. She was later in intensive care for a week, and in a comma for 3 days as they were unable to stop the seizure activity. We were given the option to operate, but after the CT Scan found out that it is inoperable due to the intra-hepatic and extra acquired shunts. This absolutely broke our hearts, but Gerard and his team at Fitzpatrick's were reassuring, and made it clear to us that this is not a life sentence, yet something that we will have to manage. It is a very unknown disease, and life expectancy cannot be confirmed, so we did our best to enjoy every single day with her, as we never knew when it will be the last. She was diagnosed at the age of 2years old.
Two years later, we were managing her diet, health and medication, and had 0 seizures since her initial 7 day stay in intensive care.
Fast forward to May 2022, we noticed she wasn't herself and took her to our local vet for a check up and bloods to see what is happening. The results showed high levels of ionised calcium, which is most commonly caused by cancer. Delta was admitted for flushing to clear her system from the toxins, and next day Fitzpatrick's called asking if we could transfer Delta to them, to which we happily said yes as we knew she would be in the best hands.
She was there for total a week, went through all different tests, had a feeding tube inserted as she wasn't eating on her own. They didn't find visible tumours, but have taken some samples which were sent off to the US for testing, and also initially confirmed the cancer diagnosis. Gerard and Stephen were very sympathetic and supportive, we were in touch mainly with Stephen who was amazing.
We were finally able to bring Delta home on Saturday 11th June, and did all we could to make her comfortable and help her recover. We did have some worries, but she started eating on her own and it seemed promising. By Wednesday, we knew something isn't right, and by Friday we noticed her skin (every single bit of skin that was exposed, and she had a shaved belly from her procedure so it was easy to spot) getting very yellow, she developed jaundice, so we rushed her back to Fitzpatrick's, who have admitted her to try and make her more comfortable and check what is going on. We were made aware by Chris that this isn't looking good and to prepare for the worst.
The next day, we got the call we were dreading, 'could you please get here as soon as possible, she won't make it'. We rushed as fast as we could, and were lucky enough to be able to say goodbye. She passed away on her own, with us around her, 3 minutes after we walked into the room. She knew we were there, and was ready to go. Chris and another lady were super supportive, sympathetic, and gave us time to say our goodbyes. Nothing was rushed, and money was not mentioned a single time. We were allowed to grieve in our own time, and not pressured into anything. I was so grateful that we were given the chance to be there with her, and that they had such an amazing approach to the whole situation. They arranged a crematorium to collect her body, where we did the attended cremation service, and said our final goodbyes.
Thank you to the whole team at Fitzpatrick's, who were involved in trying to help us save our Delta, our precious little baby, and for doing all you could all around the clock.
I do not understand all these negative reviews, from angry people who can barely spell. The visit to the vets most of the time will not be a positive experience, and yes it costs money, but the surgeons and nurses are doing all they can for your pet. It needs to be remembered that animals do not speak and cannot tell you what is wrong, so a lot of the time it is a guessing game. Be more understanding.
I wish I’d never been because I’d still have my boy tonight. He went in a little lame for a CT scan and came home in so much pain we had to let him go 😥
There medical treatment of my dog was excellent. He has been diagnosed with elbow problems and back problems. He started with Neurology and was moved to Orthopaedic team when it was realised that was the service he required. His care was exemplary. I live in an area where all referral units are cooperate owned and am fully aware Fitzpatrick's is not about the money.
The only reason they don't get five stars is I found some of their reception staff rude and as little passive aggressive. Also I received several copies of my account requesting payment after I had paid the bill. This was quickly resolved.
