I had lessons with Ray, as I was swapping cars from manual ones that I’ve always driven to automatic and I had also lost confidence in driving.
I initially felt a bit silly in having lessons when I passed my test, let’s say a while ago
Matt and Ray reassured me from the beginning and understood my anxiety and Ray took steps to ease that even in the first lesson.
Since then due to his patience, guidance, encouragement and clear instructions, I now feel comfortable driving an automatic for the first time, I have also learnt a lot to help me prepare for what other drivers might do, which has given me much more confidence and less anxiety when driving on busy roads.
I would highly recommend Excel Driver Training, Burbage and in particular Ray.

I started my lessons in September with Dean from Excel.
He made me feel so at ease, he is so patient with you too.He has helped build my confidence massively with driving which I thought was impossible 🙈.
And helped me become a safe driver on the roads since passing my test with him.

Avoid Andy! Kept changing the times and durations every week and then sometimes cancelled at the last minute with lame excuses. He double booked my test and told me weeks after i had informed of the date? This means that my test has been delayed by three months. Then when i tried to change my lesson he ditched me and said i was unsure and he had better offers!!!

Great lessons from Matt, having had no previous lessons or experience with anyone else. Very easy to talk to and get on with and each lesson was tailored to a specific area(s) for improvement! Would highly recommend.

I had Matt as my driving instructor and he was very patient with me as I had little to no knowledge on how to drive at all! As well as this his tips and techniques with things I struggled with such as manoeuvres and gears were extremely helpful, alongside taking everything at a steady pace. Overall he was a brilliant instructor!

I had Richard from excel as an instructor for just over 6 months . He was very supportive , very knowledgeable and full of tricks to remember key driving skills that helped me pass first time !! Would highly recommend excel as a whole and Richard as an instructor

Thank you Aneka for her guidance that allowed me to successfully pass the driving test. She is a patient and professional teacher who constantly encourages me to build confidence, enabling me to drive safely and enjoy the pleasure of driving.

My son had lessons with Richard. He really enjoyed learning to drive and had a great rapport with Richard. I have been very impressed with how he progressed and the confidence he had driving in such a short space of time. I would recommend Richard to anyone who wants to learn to drive. He made it easy for him and he passed 1st time.

Excel and Natalie Kirby helped me pass first time having only had 16 hours of lessons, i did go away and pratice in my own car when Natalie pointed out things I needed to work on or tweak. The driving schools aim and Natalie's is to pass people as quickly as is possible for the learner, Natalie have me great advice and believed in me more than I did. Thank-you again, very much.

I had Matt for 12 lesson which then he helped me to pass soon after. Matt was very patient with me and always went over my lessons and told me in good detail about what happened. He was always punctual and respectful, overall great instructor!

Had a great experience learning with Excel, my instructor was Dean Holton is an excellent instructor and just all round provides a good environment to learn in.
I managed to pass first time with Excel and I couldn’t recommend any other driving school then Excel.

Dean was an amazing driving instructor, made me feel really comfortable from the first lesson and always made sure I was making progress. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Hinckley/Nuneaton area.

Aiden was a great instructor with lots of patience and reassurance. It was such a great laugh in lessons and lighthearted when learning .And teaching in a way that benefits your needs.

I started off my driving lessons with no experience and natalie taught me really well. She discussed things in depth to make it easier to understand. With no experience she was able to teach me in 5 and a half months and i passed first time. Great company to learn to drive with.

She is very friendly, confident, accomodating and the way she explains is second to none. I would definitely recommend her.She's the best with some days i passed my first test. Thank you for all your advice 🙏

I had a week of intensive lessons with Aneka Wylie and passed first time! Aneka was very accomadating and flexiable when it came to lesson slots and times. I was made to feel calm with her relaxed teaching methods that made me focus and learn faster.

I was really impressed when I recently went to observe my daughter’s driving lesson with Dean. Lessons are completely different from when I learned to drive. Now lessons are more about about what the learner wants to improve on with as little or a much help from the instructor as the pupil wants. Enabling the pupil to learn & think for themselves.

Had an excellent experience. I learned how to drive in everyday life, rather than just passing the test. Thanks to Dean Holton my wife isn't afraid to be in the car with me driving and I can take my kids to school. Thank you for all your encouragement and guidance. I truly appreciate what you have done for me.

recently just passed with dean, been with him a few months now and he’s made me improve significantly, always on time and very reliable, go to guy to pass.
