Shocking service
I took my car in for a service and MOT, I got a call 3 and a half hours later saying that my car would fail its MOT as there was a hole in the sub-frame and was quoted £1200 to be fixed. After declining this, I went to pick up my car and take it to my local garage. I drove less than a mile from Evans Halshaw when I realized my car had no power and the engine malfunction sign was showing. I was advised by Evans Halshaw that it was not safe to drive my car and to ring the AA. Once they arrived it soon came to their attention that the air filter pipe was not attached in any way. They fastened the pipe up and the car was working fine. I went straight to our family mechanic who looked over the car and the hole in the sub-frame. He advised that the hole looked like it had been freshly done (by someone forcing something sharp through a bit of rust) and that it could be easily fixed by putting a small metal plate over it.
So there are 2 things here that are unacceptable:
1) I was allowed to leave the forecourt with a car that was unsafe to drive.
2) I feel like Evans Halshaw tried to rip me off.
I am currently waiting on the service manager to call me to discussw this further

The people at the dealership are so helpful and keen to get your business without being pushy. You really get the sense that they listen to you. They made time to help, answered phone calls with humans rather than machines and kept me updated on the progress of my delivery throughout.

Terrible customer service from sales
Dealt with their Manchester branch, sales team not particularly interested in selling me a car, they didn’t reply to simple questions, used terrible spelling and grammar on emails.
I was willing to buy the car, but I’d rather give my money to another dealer than a dealership not particularly interested in basic customer service
