Evans Halshaw - Ford Transit Centre Manchester Omdömen 

I bought a Ford Ranger from Evans Halshaw Bedford in June 2025 with full Opteven warranty and Evans Halshaw service package.
The car went in for a service and MOT on March 25th 2026 in Manchester as that is where we now live.
I was told at 3pm over the phone that all was well and that the car was ready to pick up. Took a taxi to the Service Centre at 5pm to be told that the car was NOT ready to be picked up, and that it had failed it's MOT due to:
1- Safety Critical Steering/Suspension - Front Suspension
Operations
14 - Shock absorber negligible damping nsf requires new'
I enquired whether this would be covered by the warranty and was told 'Yes' - however, I was told that 'due to delays getting the fix approved', my car would not be ready for over 2 weeks!!!
I was then told that 'if I wanted to pay immediately' I could have the car the next day. I elected to do this as I need the vehicle for work and could not afford to have it off the road for over two weeks.
I spoke to the Opteven Warranty team and explained the situation to be told the following:
'Good afternoon Paul,

We have reviewed your comments, and we are not responsible on how the dealer has presented or advised you about our claims process and cancellation of warranty

The claims process and cancellation terms is clearly outlined within your customer pack. We cannot advise you on what actions you should take with the selling dealer.

Basically the warranty team told me it was not their responsibility.
I cancelled the Warranty (it cost £999) and was told that there was no refund - basically hidden in the Ts and Cs of the Policy Document:
'Good morning Paul

These is no refund due after the 30-day window, please refer to page 7 of the policy booklet which I have attached.

We act as claims administrators on behalf of our dealer partners and are not responsible for any applicable refunds.

There were several further follow ups with Evans Halshaw and there was no attempt to resolve the issue or offer any help. I was getting hacked off at this stage so I cancelled the Service Package as well - couldn't see the point of giving my money to an outfit that treated customers so badly.
Want to hear the funny ending - one week later the gearbox failed - no warranty, no service package! Cost me five grand - that bit is MY fault.
However, overall, once Evans Halshaw had my cash it seemed like they were happy to dispense with me and not offer help.
Spent nearly £25000 on the Ranger and Package only for it to fails it's MOT 9 months later and lose the gearbox.
Not Good.

Put my truck in for repair, Turbo had blown, took 4 weeks to repair (should have been a 5 hour job) after eventual repair i was given the price, I went to pick the car up to be handed a bill with an extra £1100 on it and was told to ‘ignore the previous invoice’, I was desperate for the car back so had no choice but to pay £4000+ I drove the car away on the Friday evening, the car sat on my drive all weekend, when I went to drive to work on the Monday my battery died on me driving down a busy M6 motorway! I was recovered by the AA to be told the alternator hadn’t been reconnected after the repairs! Customer services fobbed me off multiple times telling me someone would call and speak to me, now two months on I’ve had no calls and no help regarding this! Possibly the worst garage I’ve ever had any dealings with and worst customer service going! Although customer service claim to help and tell you the garage will be in contact absolutely nobody has contacted me regarding the problems still left with my truck!

Always a great experience when dealing with the Team here. Very efficient and nothing is too much to ask. They ensure you receive a great service from start to finish. We are a returning customer and I am sure we will be back whenever we have a new vehicle requirement in the future.

Shopped around Ford dealers for a new van. Spoke to Jordan and gave me a selection of vehicles to choose from. We negotiated a price and I collected the vehicle on the day/time we agreed. Jordan walked me through the paperwork, then showed me around the vehicle, explaining all the kit and how it worked.

Have to say a very simple experience. No pushy sales man, just down to earth, common sense approach from all the staff, including Jordan.

Would highly recommend going the Ford Transit center in Trafford if you are looking for a new Ford vehicle.

Ashley was spot on and sorted out my new van within a week and this included getting it delivered to my house. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

We sent our car for fixing the pipe then we found out that the air conditioning was out of order after changed some parts in Trafford park Evenshalshaw Ford. We went back to centre in one minute right away as we smell bad from the air conditioning however they explained that it’s not there fault and didn’t responsible and ask for another £150 checking fee.

I have just had a new shape Transit custom delivered. Although from ordering the van to taking ownership took about 9 months the process was made easier by regular updates by Ashley in the dealership. Once the van arrived at the dealership I was sent a video and pics. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Thanks Ashley for everything. Highly recommend . 5 stars

Was after a new transit custom,Rang evans halshaw and spoke with ashley after seeing one in their stock which had everything I wanted except not a long wheelbase, within a day Ashley rang back and had found the same but in long wheelbase . From ordering to delivery at my home address was effortless( Manchester to pembrokeshire )Ashley was keeping me updated regularly and sending me videos of the van, such a pleasant experience to deal with a professional salesman who did everything he could to make the purchase enjoyable

We purchased 3 new Transit Custom from Lee in March, the whole process was done with ease. From the initial enquiry to delivery, we were kept informed at each step.

The vans were delivered to our head office in Stoke, on the day promised, and the handover was simple.

After ringing Evans Halshaw to purchase a van, spoke to a gentleman called Terrance Lee. Arranged a meeting same day after showing me a couple of vans i decided which one i liked, and through the full experiance Terrance was very informative, helpful and professional. A week into owning the van had a injector issue, so took the van back to be booked in at the service centre for the issue to be rectified. After the branch were reluctant to give me a replacement vehical to go home in. Using the excuse it had to be off the road for eight hours, even though had purchased fords extended warrenty, Terrance went above a beyond, and even gave me a lift back to my home address. All the while my van was being fixed Terrance kept me informed on the progress to the result i got my van back. Thank you Terrance.
