How many names have these shareholders changed to run a second rate transport service for vulnerable hospital patients. The CEO should hang his head in shame and god only hope his parents never have to use there new name EMEDGROUP. Let's stop making him and his shareholders rich and bring it back in house FGS.

well here goes on the on Monday the 04/08/2025 i contacted ERS which is now EMED GROUP for transport to ROYAL STOKE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL and after a barrage of questions i was declined because i have a motability car i have several health issues and rarely drive my carer who is70 and also has health issues would find impossible to push me around the hopspital in a wheelchair i have severe motability probs and walking any distance for me is also impossible i was also told that if i can get to the i can get a porter to assist me now the people making these rules obviously have not been to the ROYAL STOKE and tried to get a wheelchair or a porter i was totally gobsmaked with there responce i find the whole experiance disgusting have paid into the pot for numerouse years and what do we have immigrants getting housed 3 square meals a day moblie phone and money in there pocket and what did i want transort to the hospital and was told NO whats it comimg to

Terrible service. Would not recommend this company at all. My elderly mother was treat with total disrespect. Have emailed this company twice. They haven't had the decency to reply.

Shocking company. I used paitent transport back in 2019-2021 and was eligible based on my autism and not being able to leave the house alone unless I has my headphones in at a really high volume or someone with me. This was when it was a different company. My gp gave me the number to ring as I needed to get to Salford from stafford for a number of tests due to me having multiple brain tumors. The lady's response on the phone was disgusting to say the least. She stated I shouldn't of been eligible back in 2019-2021. She also stated that because I could get to Manchester (despite me stating I got stranded at Manchester Airport) then I could use my pip to get to Salford for my pre op/balance test/operation. I explained I have other hospital apps which I have to use the pip money for and pip doesn't cover everything. She had such an attitude on her it was unreal. I explained my condition has got worse since 2019-2021 not better as I have since been diagnosed with hypermobility/multiple brain tumors/spinal tumors. I carnt even walk up the Dr's without getting severely out of breath and it wiping me out for the day. I also have my knee go on me multiple times. Since the company has changed hands its got alot worse. Now I can not have any of my preops/balance tests or injections into my ear to take my balance away slowly rather than being ill after my brain surgery. Unfortunately the attitude and behaviour of this company is disgusting and now I carnt have my op, which is what I had explained to the lady on the phone. Her response was "okay" she didn't care it could result in death not having this surgery.

Even if you need help this company doesn't care.

Absolutely disgusting service. And contact centre are inhumane and unprofessional. Had 3 strokes. Needed transportation for hospital appointment made nearby 50 miles away from my home. Was told if I can get to my doctors appointment which is 1.2 miles away from my home then I can get to my appointment 46 miles away.. without help and support. The telephone handlers (pitbulls) were so rude and patronising. I can understand why these people won the contract to do this ..Staffordshire don't care about anyone unless they robbing you blind. Only good thing is that my mobile records ALL calls.. and have their disgusting behaviour recorded.

ERS Medical are supposedly a service that provides transport to the hospitals (the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital in my case) for patients who for various reasons (like physical disability in my case) are unable to get to the hospital by normal means. Being mobility disabled and 81 years old, I would normally, weather permitting, use my wheelchair to get to the bus station around a mile and a half away and then onwards to the hospital by bus. However because of the unsettled weather, for the very first time, I contacted ERS Medical to request transport to the hospital. When I explained my dilemma regarding the weather and the difficulty of access to the bus station, I was refused the transport service point blank due to the fact that there was already a bus service to the hospital and the fact that I could not access it due to my disability and the weather made no difference whatsoever. I then put the hypothetical point 'what if any public transport service was ten miles away' and the response was that the same would apply!
Until recently, the transport service was run by the hospital itself but the N&NUH had recently merged this service with the privately owned ERS Medical.
Unfortunately and often, this is precisely what happens when private enterprise, where money and profit are the be all and end all, enters the picture.
