Very disappointing company who were even worse than the last greenhouse company that I used which I didn't think was even possible. Beware of companies who are just a front end of a real supply chain and have no care to even ensure proper communication regarding delivery and shipment. I was not communicated with once the order for what is a very expensive £1500 greenhouse was placed and had to chase them up. Really unprofessional by being too willing to place inconvenience on me as a customer. Item then arrived and was labelled with two different sizes of greenhouse on it so I had no idea what I was even receiving and despite being advised by who I think may be the manufacturer, Shire, (but who knows who does what with these guys as nobody takes any responsibility for anything), that I should categorically check what they have sent out when I receive it at the door. the delivery driver hasa fit when Itry to despite my not being able to see if is tthe right size greenhouse or even if it has come with glass!!!!!!!!

I can see not one piece of glass on the pallet and am then being chastised to not open 'my plastic on my very expensive paid for item so that I can see if the glass has been delivered and why it is labelled as both a 6ft x 12 ft greenhouse as well as 6ft by 16 greenhouse!!"

Ridiculous waste of time and then Elbec try to tell me that I have no right to check my own items that I have already paid for before I sign for them at my door and it is to prevent inconvenience to the courier!!! t

They would of course clearly rather inconvenience me as the customer.

They really need to step their game up and not be so nonchalent and put proper communication and procesess in place instead of expecting me to call the manufacturer and courier to save them doing it. Really negative experienceand would not use them again. No sense even to just ring Shire and ask
them what they packaed up as a greenhouse just YESTERDAY and whetherit is theright size and if the greenhouse comes with glass which I know is irrelevant apparently to Elbec. Fed up of dealing with companies who are happy to take money and then not give a good customer experience to and think its totally acceptable for customers to receive things that may be damaged, etc... and just have to then, as teh paying customer, waste time getting replacements – £1500 for a few bits of wood and glass and nobody can just streamline and tidy up their labelling and processes. Pehaps also tell the customer what they are receiving - 1 crate, 2 crates – and also get the courier to call when they are supposed to! Incredulous to also be told by Elbec that, if anything is delivered by the courier and it is damaged, it is not Elbec's responsibility. Who did I pay then? who am I in contract with????, as It's certainly not my responsibility.

I recently ordered a garden shed from Elbec Garden Buildings. The delivery was punctual, but the driver refused to accommodate my request to place the shed pieces closer to my home, which was frustrating. The quality of the shed wasn't up to expectations; it arrived with some damages. Customer service was not very helpful in resolving the issues, which made the experience less than ideal. There were some issues with payment follow-ups as well. Overall, it's a mixed experience; while the product was okay for the price, the service could definitely improve. Therefore, I would rate them 3 stars.

I bought the 8 x 8 Shire corner summerhouse..
Slight delay on delivery but still arrived on the day ,driver off loaded all pieces carefully. He was brilliant after a long day .
I installed the house myself and it fitted together very well indeed . Just follow instructions . Overall took about 3 days including painting and weather against me but no problem.
Good quality doors windows and panels and for less than £900 delivered I was worried it may be poor but far from it. Real glass used and spare pieces included too, plenty of fixings ,spares on these. Nothing pre drilled so a good battery drill recommended. Great company, build and final looks , can't fault it. Why pay more ?

Dreadful experience that caused me the loss of a day off work and a fee for cancelling tradespeople.
Ordered a shed, had no communication for 10 days until I chased them with emails and phone calls. Eventually after two weeks I was given a delivery date within a few days. Took the day off work but called on the day as not had a notification as promised. Then told it's out of stock and won't be coming, not for weeks by the sound of it. It's partly my fault for trusting this company and buying cheap and not reading reviews. But the organisation within this company is deplorable. Avoid, and save yourself disappointment and poor service!!

Arrived when it was supposed to and easy to put together. I'm very pleased with my summerhouse . Thankyou .
Very good fit together well

Delivery of my Mercia garden shed was on time. I had phoned Elbec the day before to warn that my street is narrow and I don't have a drive, but a passageway. I was assured this would be OK.
The driver parked ONE HOUSE AWAY. Refused to move vehicle closer (as I suggested), refused my request to put flat pieces in passageway. After in exasperation I muttered, 'You're hopeless' (which he was), he dumped all the pieces ON THE PUBLIC PAVEMENT claiming I'd been rude.
I'm 77 years old. As this was 7.30 am, I had to wait for a neighbour to carry the pieces into the passageway.

Elbec has sent me a shed that I wouldn’t even pay £10 for. The shed was all dented, scratched and damaged, as if it had been used and returned. I paid £350, almost double the cost of the shed for the installation, not knowing that this would be the case. When I reached out to them for a full refund, they were expecting me to take it apart and send it back or for them to send “parts” when the whole shed was absolutely destroyed and I had sent them the proof of it. I have now had to open a case with PayPal to get my money back because this is absolutely appalling. I don’t recommend this website at all if you want good quality, your moneys worth and good customer service.

Update: choose a delivery date should still be treated with caution. But upgraded to 3* and well done Forest Garden and DX - arrived within 2 days with a super fast delivery.

Choose a delivery date is ‘aspirational’ ….scroll all the way down to point 22 on the terms and conditions…at no point in the checkout process or order confirmation is this made clear. (I did use PayPal Express which may be why) .

Completely at odds with this is the confirmation email inviting you to telephone to arrange delivery date UNLESS you already did so when ordering - this negates their own terms and conditions:

“Booking a delivery date (excludes customers who booked their delivery date at the time of ordering):

With our Forest products, you will be contacted by text or telephone (the latter if a mobile number has not been supplied) the week before the end of your delivery timescale with a delivery date if this is not convenient you can reply to the message to book a more convenient delivery date. If you do not receive a delivery date from Forest’s Delivery Team at this time, you may contact them directly during office hours on 0333 321 3142 Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5 pm. “

Dispatched today - the supposed delivery date…by DX, but no email confirmation at the time of writing, quite possibly just because I called, since DX ALWAYS email…expecting your parcel, delivering on…..

Ordered 2 items, only able to choose the delivery date on one - used as an excuse by customer service, but he cited the item with the delivery date - I could in fact have placed 2 separate orders with the same date.

Now waiting up to an entire week when I’m not here for 3-5 day delivery in transit, Forest & DX have historically been very good, so have contacted them to aim for this week at least.

(PayPal Express did add a defunct landline instead of mobile - this should have had no impact).

Sheds were okay that I purchased, could get the same cheaper if you look, but what really strikes them down is customer care. Two years after I purchased sheds and paid everything I was asked to, I’m being hounded for another payment, regardless of the effect that is having on my health. If Elbec have made an error by nit charging my the right amount they ought to take the consequences not harass a pensioner. Shame on you.

Funny how this company only replies to there positive feed back!!!! Which isn't that many!!

BUYER BEWARE!!! Ordered a Shire log cabin from Elbec, on delivery the log cabin was substandard with warped wood and some smashed/broken pieces so we refused the delivery and cancelled the order. Fortunately I paid via Paypal coz over a week later I am still waiting on a refund. According to Elbec because I cancelled and refused the delivery of their substandard item a technical issue was raised at Shire's end and this has delayed my refund like this technical issue is somehow my fault??? Bunch of charlatans holding onto money and no doubt getting interest on it. Despicable!!!

Happy with the quality and price of the summerhouse. Was kept up to date with all schedules etc.
Installation today by two very pleasant and
efficient chaps, Connor & Harry.
A good experience all round.

I purchased a shire 10x10 overlap shed. The quality of the timber in several of the panels was unacceptable with multiple knot holes out, 7-8 per panel. Disappointed with Elbec who took 9 days to agree and sort 2 out of 3 replacements which we were not happy about and it was over 3 weeks later that the final replacement part was delivered. The roofing felt was flimsy and had a hole in one piece. I would not recommend this item, nor the company. After multiple emails and phone calls chasing Elbec about the shed panels i had no further faith in requesting a replacement piece of roofing felt.

Acceptable, but not great.
I ordered an 8x6 Forest Beckwood Apex Shed Shiplap Double Doors Windowless. On assembly one of the panels, the shiplap would not line up no matter where I tried. Another panel the top shiplap board was not fitted correctly and there is a gap between that an the next board.

Customer service was excellent. I ordered a shed but no longer needed it. The shed was collected and my payment returned with relevant ease. I just had to chase once to arrange the collection. I would buy again from this Company.

The guys arrived & asked where I wanted the summer house, they got to work & have done a brilliant job. I'm super happy with my shed & look forward to using it for work out of (tanning & waxing) A **** service & product.

Arrived damaged - split boards and marked sides.
Arrived unglazed - no mention of customer having to fit glass and beading.
Locking Pin hole not drilled properly as pin would not go through the lock and the wooden door - so had to re-drill the hole out properly to fit the pin.
Felt arrived as a roll and not 3 pre-cut sheets see A2555 x 3 in the instruction leaflet see pages 6 &16.
Open knot holes in sides - poor overall quality.

This company is very very poor with poor customer service and management selling on there website sheds that are not the correct measurements to what you see on there selling site keep away from them poor poor poor
