I really wish I’d read the reviews before booking my son onto this course. He had no prior motorcycle experience, and the whole purpose of a CBT is to provide proper training and build confidence safely, moving away from the old days where people could simply jump on a bike and learn through trial and error.

After several attempts to get to grips with clutch control, the instructor quickly became irritable and impatient, resulting in my son being moved onto an automatic scooter, which he handled much more comfortably. However, instead of supporting and developing that progress, the instructor at the Thurrock training centre, who from my observation seemed more interested in talking than teaching, dismissed my son at 1pm, saying he would need to rebook another course.

This completely misses the point of what a CBT is supposed to be. It stands for Compulsory Basic Training, not an assessment, yet it very much felt like my son was being judged and written off rather than taught and supported.

That’s simply not acceptable for a beginner training environment.

Since then, I’ve bought my son a Honda scooter and spent time helping him practise in a local car park. With some basic guidance and the chance to build confidence, he was quickly able to get comfortable controlling the bike, which makes the experience with this training provider even more disappointing.
We’ve now booked another CBT elsewhere and won’t be returning to this company.

Hopefully, you'll read this and save your money as to call this company unprofessional would be too kind.

Had a very pleasant day in hatfield had a lovely instructor graham felt very chilled and relaxed and was approachable, very clear with instructions was a overall good experience 😊

Did CBT and Full licence with Edventure. Did Mod 1 and 2 tests at Thurrock, the CBT and 3 lessons were at Chingford. Great experience overall. Got all it done easily.

Please do not go there to waste your money. The guy ended the session at 1pm and failed all four of us even a girl that had previous CBT, she was in tears as it was her livelihood. Heard about these scams and thought nothing of it as CBT is basic training for you to get on a bike. I have previous bike experience from a 50cc and foreign country riding and with a HGV license, the scam instructor failed all of us as we suspected some family issues as the instructor's son kept butting in. Waste of £189.99 and a quick £800 for the instructor in 5 hours. Will be claiming the Money back from my credit card. Waste of day, fuel and loss of earnings.

They are terrible if you are a new rider DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY THERE. I went for a cbt and my instructor didn’t teach me the correct basic training and then because I was struggling and very anxious about bike control because this ‘professional’ was too focused on teaching me wrong techniques and making my life so much harder he ended the session at 1pm after riding in the car park he didn’t go through any theory and didn’t explain anything about road scenarios to be honest it was a waste of £190 because it just taught me bad habits and made me even more nervous. After he said that he didn’t think I was safe on the road he didn’t give me any constructive criticism. It was just a waste of time. I have just been for another cbt but this time at a different place and I am now excited to be on the road. I have been taught the correct manoeuvres and I feel confident when controlling a bike. It really felt like I have wasted £190 on adventure rider Hatfield and then was expected to pay another £190 to do it again which definitely isn’t happening. Overall a shocking experience do not waste your money or time. I have heard other instructors are good. However, the one I had was terrible.

Instructor was great and wasn’t too serious so could have a laugh. Would definitely recommend if looking to start riding. 10/10

Don't recommend coming here for motorbike training unless you want to burn £199. Never been on a motorbike before It felt like paying for an assessment rather then training. I went through each manoeuvre about 4 times each then after the last one was told not at the required standard and training ended at 1pm instead of 5pm with no road riding. I didn't feel like I was told what I doing wrong or how to correct it and was just told I needed more practice however the company don't offer any discounted rate to come back and expect you to pay another full £200. The company only offer a discounted rate if you pay another £150 in advance during the first booking which feels like you are already agreeing to do 2 days and gives the company more excuses to not complete the full day.

Would just like to say a Massive thank you to edventure rider for getting me able to pass my full licence from a humble novice stalling all day in the car park to now a full licence holder ed and his team are very calm and cool about all situations and levels of riders never ever once made me feel like I was driving them mad even tho I probably was I persisted and with the help of ed, Ian and Graham I can now get my dream bike, cheers fellas. Passed my CBT today with the help from Scott down in the Thurrock branch. What an amazing bloke, had the time and patience to sit through with everyone and make sure they were all up to standard before moving on. And gave constant encouragement and praise. If you’re going to do a CBT and live near Thurrock then this branch is your place and Scott’s your man. Thank you Scott

The instructor could not speak clear English so I could not understand his instructions.

They are also scammers as they force the trainees to take additional un-necessary training.

It was extremely hot, and I was soaked because of the winter equipments they gave me despite the 34°C weather. I had a lot of difficulty breathing. Even though I brought my own boots, they told me I had to rent theirs for £30. Then, at the fourth hour of the eight-hour training, they told me that I had to pay for a new CBT again because I was struggling to control the motorcycle due to the extreme heat and my breathing difficulties. Everything was really bad.

Have already left this company a review on Google but feel that as I use trustpilot more I would duplicate here.
This company are not great. Their customer service is extremely poor. I paid almost £200 for my son to complete CBT training For a for a course that should have been 8 am to 5 pm and he was failed and sent home along 1.30! Hiding behind the terms and conditions. you pay for a whole day and they give up on you half way through how is this training!
They state on their site that it is not a pass or fail course.
I received an email telling me that there would have he struggled with balance and that he had sat out of two skills, however when i spoke to him they had told him to take a break. They failed him on this as the instructor felt he would not be safe on the road, they could have spent another 90 minutes allowing him to practice, which was rubbish as the entire course finished early.
The instructor just wanted to make his money and go home early.
I wish I’d looked more closely at all the reviews before booking and wasting my money.

Wow what an amazing instructor I had Diyan from Edventure rider. I did my CBT training and Diyan was my trainer, he was amazing. First of all he find out my fault e.g. placing my legs on the bike due to the height of myself. He helped me with confident(as getting the grip of a two wheel motorcycle could be quite a challenge). Two exercise that always give me difficulties help me to gain understanding of how to master these without thinking of it. These exercise was for figure of eight and changing lanes using signals at the junction.
So once again, a massive thanks to Diyan for his excellent training skills

Passed CBT test today at Hatfield with (marcchitella) Marco he was very clear on instructions and explaining why we do things lovely fella to made the day enjoyable thank you Steve sorry if i have your name wrong

Great experience- Bart was super helpful and friendly, while firm with instructions- got me through the manual CBT first time!

Aside from that, decent kit, good bikes and a free buff!

Early 07:45hrs start in Hatfield for myself and my son. I'm a 50+ international holiday biker, but never completed CBT or rode in UK, other than Mick Extance Ultimate Off Road Day. My son has never rode a manual bike, just holiday scooters and I was supporting his desire to get into biking and I wanted him to be safe and well trained.
Benny set us up and made his introductions and started the course. Another candidate arrived 45 minutes late. We then carried on going through the learning stages and got plenty of bike time at the centre before going on the road. Bike control at slow speed is critical. Remember bike control at slow speed is critical. And remember to read and memorise your highway code before you come. We were staggered for the road training with myself and the other candidate for the first hour and so on. After 30 minutes or so and three incidents of road rule breaking and missing instructed turns (one of them critical), we were returned to the centre and the candidate breaking the rules was removed from the training. This allowed myself and my son to ride out together. Even with the knowledge of my first road experience and informing my son of what to focus on, it was fair that my son was not provided with his CBT. He needs more time on a bike to build skill and confidence. I would have Benny train my son any day of the week.
I have read the reviews for this business and get it. There is plenty of positive feedback and too many negatives. To get through my experience of this business you will need some competency on a bike and a good knowledge of roads, signs and traffic understanding and management. Arrive with zero experience and thinking you'll get a certificate just because you paid; you will be sorely disappointed

This company is a scam. They deliberately "fail" riders in order to comply with rider/instructor ratios. They failed my daughter after just 20 minutes of instruction and FAILED HALF OF THE CLASS and KEPT THEIR MONEY. The company is owned by East Europeans moved here to cheat British citizens.

What a day. I came in having never sat on a bike with near no experience on a bicycle. Ian guided me through everything, he was patient and has been excellent throughout the whole day, fantastic teacher
