Please put a barrier on the drop off area and allow people to pay on exit like you used to… allowing people to leave and ask they remember to pay online later is a deliberate trap hoping they forget and you can fine. I’ve remembered just after the 24 hour cut off and tried to pay and now can’t and have to wait for the inevitable fine.
So now, as if £8 for 5 minutes wasn’t bad enough, I’ll be paying £100.
I honestly hope legislation against such scams comes in and those affected are compensated by these companies. RIP-off merchants.

WiFi non existent. Airport entrance is nondescript, like going into a house door, low ceilings all a bit dingy.

The rapid drop off charge is a rip off, it’s now £8 and you MUST pay by the end of the next day on a web site that you need to find.
My daughter forgot to do this until the day after and it said it was too late and the next she heard was a £170 charge from a debt collector, not even a late payment charge and a chance to pay a reduced fee for early payment like normal parking charges, EMA make normal parking companies look like very nice people.

I used long stay 2 car park to pick my sister and her husband up u can park there fir free for 1 hr u collect a token on entry and use to exit the car park it all went well till i got home and thougjt id check my car reg is not on there sytem qent to the section to pay fir car parking put in my car reg and ir came up that i need to pay 8 pound for rapid car park which i never used so had to pay ir it was a fine on the way never again will i be goung to this place in my car robbing b...dards

So many complaints about the parking, especially the £8.00 charged for the Rapid Drop Off yet no response from EMA to explain/justify. Why do they make it so offensive for their passengers who ultimately pay their salaries and airport operating costs? Beggars belief!

Robbing people to drop off . Dropped 4 times in 2 days . Now being charged £32 for a maximum 20 mins in total. Totally disgusting . It's just pure greed

We do not have a choice as there is no free drop off like at birmingham so you have to pay. But if you forget like l have done twice coming back on a late flight go to bed then realise you forgot to pay it within 24 hours you get hit with a £60 fine if paid within 14 days if not £100.
All money making scam. Its better to going i to short stay then you dont forget to pay and you get longer. But it needs to be looked at as there is no choice. Bycott emago to birmingham it will make them think.

How can E M Airport warrant 60% increase one expects an increase but god that's certainly far to high for only 10mins too £5 ro £8. Come on get real
Making money out of motorists is unfair.

Drop off parking charges are unacceptable, there is nowhere to shelter from the cold or rain whilst waiting for your taxi. The charge has just gone up from £5 for 15 mins to £8 for 10mins. How can this be justified!!!!!

EM Used to be my airport of choice, but drop off charge is a complete rip off, parking prices have also gone up, trouble is, all airports are the same, been using Birmingham recently, same extortionate drop off charges, Airparks so far has been great, some rubbish parking with idiots blocking exits so choose your space wisely

They have already put red lines all over even down the main road that doesn’t belong to the airport

Parking is over priced, food over priced, drink over priced, security staff are rude and not helpful, if you ask a question you received sarcasm, and normally from someone with the intelligence and personality of a wet Baggett , vote with your feet people and use a different airport

I think East Midlands Airport is run extremely well however I think they should make customers aware that there is a one hour free parking drop-off at longstay two car park which is 10 to 15 minute walk from the terminal. I understand a free bus runs in busy periods, but not during the winter time again I appreciate older people will not be able to use this facility but it’s still open for the use for lots of other others

Drop off charge increase from £5 to £8 is a disgrace, I really hope people vote with their feet and fly from alternative airport.
the flights are already more expensive than Birmingham, Luton i certainly won't be booking another holiday From East Midlands Airport.
why can't you have a free 10 minute drop of 5 mins walk like Birmingham. Even Dik Turnpin Wore a Mask.

The new drop off fee of £8 is an absolute travesty, there is no justification in a 60% rise, nor the now 700% rise since 2010.
It is only the UK that implements this charge for dropping off YOUR customers.

Not looking forward to our returning to EMA from Ibiza. Experience was not good getting here. VIP lounge is dreadful, and although we have passes, it was like getting into Fort Knox. After over an hour wait for the call, we gave up and bought two more very expensive coffees only to receive a notification we could gain entry into the VIP lounge. What a poor state of affairs. Virtually empty dried up food containers and poor choice. What a poor lounge. What with overpriced drop off (designed to catch people out) and poor facilities this airport needs to step up in the world. Third world, but there again the countries not much better. Why do we have to put up with this crapola?

Today the already rip off drop off charge has gone up from £5 for 15 mins to £8 for 10 mins.

It’s the 21st century. Why are we still putting up with airport experiences like this? Parking and shuttle were fine. Drop off and pick up fees are just money-making rip-offs. There are no viable public transport links to the airport from the north of the region. The terminal is just too small. The food and retail offerings are poor. Far too cramped and crowded. Spent too long queuing for a coffee. WiFi not fit for purpose. Even Boots has gone since I last went there. Just because it caters for budget flights, I get the feeling they assume the passengers will put up with this horrible start to their journeys. Major improvements are needed.

The startling lack of clarity regarding where to pick up and/or drop off passengers using the airport is, it would appear, quite deliberate. The outcome of this is the unrivalled ability the airport to impose a fine of £100 if a drop off is made in what they refer to as an "unauthorised area" even if the £5 pick-up/drop-off fee is paid the minute I get back home from the airport. Appeals fall on deaf ears and we are told that the money paid in fines goes to support ongoing infrastructure issues at the airport (whatever they are). If I can avoid this airport from now on, I most certainly will. All a bit grubby and money-grabbing, I'm afraid.
