The check-in was a mess in the morning
The check-in was a mess in the morning. There were like 45-50 people all gathered around waiting to be picked up. One guide came out and spoke very good English and he called out names and loaded them up in a bus. Then the rest of us that weren’t called were told to wait because our guide would show up there for us too. Another smaller bus parked a few meters away and the driver got out and stood there with a clip board on his hand but he didn’t call out names, he didn’t call people toward him or anything. He barely spoke English and luckily I approached him to ask if I was in his list, he verified I was and pointed to me to get in. Around 7:10am a group of 4 Asian ladies and a Caucasian couple (6 tourists total) asked the driver to open the door since they were most likely on that bus too with this company but the driver said no and after 1 minute he drove off. We all felt terrible for the poor tourists he left behind for no reason.
He was still letting people in the bus at 7:08am but they went to the other bus to double check they weren’t on that tour due to all the confusion and when they finally came to our bus the driver closed the door a minute before and watched them tap on the door to open but he just said no to them with a hand gesture.
When we arrive to Birkenau from Auschwitz it was snowing and freezing cold and the same driver parked like 1 kilometer away from the main entrance to Birkenau where we were told to cross the street and walk and he would remain there waiting for us.
The same female guide who gave us the tour at Auschwitz was already waiting for us at Birkenau and laughed in disbelief and bluntly told us what we were all already thinking; how the company or driver are so cheap. The driver could’ve easily parked right next to the entrance to Birkenau but he or the company didn’t want to pay the parking fee so that’s why he made up walk 15 minutes to Birkenau and another 15 minutes back in 30 degrees Celsius weather with snow falling on us.
The tour itself was very educational but the driver/company and the pick up process were nothing to write home about.

Great tour ruined by poor planning… we got to the hotel meeting point at 10:15 like we were told and stood in the rain until 10:50 in complete chaos… loads of people waiting for different tours all stood there waiting, then the buses get there and start randomly shouting names it was almost laughable. In between camps we had 15 minutes to get back to the bus and get to camp two… this wasn’t made clear at all, we were only told it once it should have been thoroughly explained multiple times to the group… instead people walked off doing whatever they wanted and the 15 mins turned into 50 minutes of us sitting waiting, this the cut our tour of the second camp in half time wise, also at the end of the tour the group needed to be firmly told to go straight back to the bus but again we were there within 5 mins and sat there waiting for 45 minutes…. Organisation was awful and as a result we would not recommend this tour

Memorable experience.
Great experience, all together it takes around 4h with the transfers. Be aware of how many stairs you need to do - over 800, most of them down but some up, which might be an issue for some people. Otherwise very good.

We had booked for the Salt mine tour
We had booked for the Salt mine tour. The tour from start to finish was absolutely worth it. Legs shaking from the stairs but still managed to make the rest of the tour 😂 Myself and friends made our own way there and just waited at the waiting point for someone to show up. They were late but we didnt mind as we were able to jump to the toilet and grab a wee drink before the tour started. Absolutely recommend this tour to anyone. We were even told that people who need wheelchair access can visit aswell. Loved it and would definitely tell others to book it up.

Attentive team that responded to all our questions for arrival and trip details. Guide was very friendly and helpful. Group was a bit too large to hear the guide if you were at the back of the line.

Bad experince in Auschwitz
The trip was well-organized and the guides were well-instructed, but a little bit rude. The tour was too much of a rush. We didn´t have time to go to the bathroom and to visit the store at the of the visit. Considering such an emotional site as Auschwitz, I believe it would deserve a more kind and respectful approach.

Nous avions réservé un transfert aller retour aéroport/hotel/aéroport, via getyourguide. Tout s'est très bien passé. A l'arrivée, le chauffeur etait la et très gentil.
Au retour, chauffeur un peu plus froid (peut etre parce que nous avions 5 minutes de retard alors que j'avais envoyé un sms et un mail pour prévenir, mais pas de réponse) mais ponctuel.

Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Hotel Pick-Up and Lunchbox. A very professional and efficient service. Pick service from our hotel was very smooth. The guided tour of the concentration camps were very informative with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The service was very punctual and friendly and comes with our high recommendation.

Kracow hotel transfers
Book the transfers in advance of our stay, had communication from the. The day before we landed, our vehicle was on time and waiting at the arrivals, the vehicle was also spotlessly clean. The driver Stephen gave us some local information and highlighted landmarks as we passed them, in all a great experience.

We pre-booked our coach tickets for the Lajkonik coach to and from Auschwitz from Krakow, as we didn't want to do the guided tour. It was easy and simple enough to do. The bus on the way to Auschwitz was rather empty, so plenty of space. However, on our return journey, we thought with having our pre-booked coach tickets, that we would be guaranteed a seat. However, this didn't happen. Lots of people paying for a bus journey back to Krakow. We had to stand the whole one and a half hour bus journey back. There was a point where we thought we wouldn't actually get on the bus. We felt that pre-booked tickets should have been called forward first?

Amazing Trips
We booked 3 trips through Discover Cracow and all of them were great. Guides were knowledgeable and you always knew where you were meeting and when so you could just enjoy your time. Group sizes were good as well, unlike some tours I've been on before. communication was great, always responded promptly when I had any queries. We visited Wawal Castle and Cathedral, Auschwitz and Birkenau and the Salt Mines.

Both tours were great and the guides…
Both tours were great and the guides were full of interesting knowledge. The only problem I had with the tour was after Auschwitz tour without out any warning we were dropped off in what seemed to be like the middle of nowhere and told by the driver to come back here at 3 for next tour. So in the cold has to wander about . Got back there at 3 and got on bus only to be told tour wouldn’t be leaving till 3.30 so had to wait longer . Salt mine tour was good and worth a visit . When Tour ended got back on bus and got dropped off again at place we were dumped earlier . Which was nowhere near our hotel . So after a nearly 13 hour day we were tired and cold.

Trip to saltmine
Trip to saltmine. Meeting point easy to find and driver was very efficient. Tour guide met us and instructions were clear. Guide around the mine was informative and had a good sense of humour.
Length and duration of tour was just right. Well worth a visit.

Auschwitz-Birkenau museum and memorial guided tour
Very well organised trip. We went for a meeting point so we could go at later time of 10am. Clear instructions on where to meet the bus. We added the lunch which I recommend as the queues are big at Auschwitz and only have about 10/15min break to go to toilet and get food.
When they say its cold, it is cold!!! Wrap up in extra layers. Toilets in Auschwitz is free and to pay for the ones where the bus leaves you off.
Bus driver, tour rep and guide were very good.
