Not bad inward journey even better coming home driver friendly polite funny &chatty good driver even when crowded by another mad driver over taking him

We will never use dg cars again after being left stranded at 11pm last night.
the booking was done through the app and my wife is disabled, but they cancelled 2 minutes after they should have picked us up!
They would not answer when we tried phoning to see why, but when we eventually got home after waiting for Yellow cars who saved the day we rang them and they were full of inadequate excuses.
No adequate explanation and no apology, totally unacceptable and complete lack of customer service!
Will NEVER use this company again.

This taxi company left my special-needs child stranded at School, despite the fact it was prepaid. Trying to get through was an absolute nightmare and I was then told it was my fault because I had cancelled it which was not possible-Not only would I have not done this I was away from my phone all afternoon as a medical health professional in clinic.

When I challenged The fact It wasn’t possible for me to have cancelled this they put the phone down on me,leaving me with no option but to ring round of taxi companies to try and find someone to bring my child home at the busiest time of the day When I actually live in York and my Child is in Nottingham. Appalling.

I booked a taxi and the driver couldn’t find the address they come to every week so he cancelled the ride. I received a refund less an admin fee, the reason, he had been dispatched so I had to pay for him canceling. Back and forth with customer service and they eventually stopped replying. So be warned

1car was for my disabled partner
Ringing me at such short notice is shocking and they have withheld money from me I will seek legal advice against them for monies

If I could give minus stars then I would. I Booked two six seater taxis (for 11 people) a month ago, to pick us up from Holme Pierrepont Hall at 11:59 on Saturday 17th August after my daughter's wedding. By 12:15 there were no taxis. everyone who'd just ordered an Uber was off and away and we were stuck waiting. We rang DG and the call handler had no record of a booking for us. He eventually managed to find one driver who arrived at 12:40. We had three children with us aged 10 and under. This taxi was 40 minutes late and there was no other taxi available, so five of us had to make alternative arrangements. According to DG cars the drivers were organised but were magically unable to fulfil the requirements. It has taken me five days of complaining to even get a refund for the taxi that did not turn up (not that I have received it yet) but apparently the very late taxi fee cannot be refunded because their terms and conditions say that they do not guarantee to turn up on time, they cannot be liable for any costs relating to the delay of a pre booked and paid for taxi. They won't refund any of that cost at all despite the fact that they failed miserably and would not have turned up at all if we hadn't rung them twice. Apparently I can rest assured that feedback has been escalated to the relevant department , which I imagine means I shall hear nothing more about it. DO NOT BOTHER USING THEM!

On 2 occasions I've had trouble with this taxi service, one occasion I was refused a service because I had a service dog😡 he actually drove off leaving me with a full display of a service dog and badge. 2nd time I had to a agrue with a driver who didn't have an exemption badge. This has coursed me emotional stress.

There were 5 of us and Hilton hotel booked the night before. £12.50 we were told. 2 cars turned up instead of a 7 seater and we were made to pay £12.00 for one car and £12.90 for the other car. Not a difficult task and this company still managed to fail and cost us double. I give them 2 stars because they still turned up and we got to the airport.

Appalling service saying my house is blacklisted even though I use this taxi on a weekly basis by app by card and they say I owe them a fee which is not true but they couldn't tell me the journey what was took do not use these they are rude racists and robbing company

Taxi driver lied because he wasn’t happy that I told him he picked me up from the wrong place. He then told me he would get me barred from D&G. As if there isn’t multiple taxi services lol. He told D&G that I never paid and I got barred. It was never investigated. If I never paid aren’t they supposed to get the police involved? I tried to do a review before and they said that I lied and reported my review. Yeah because I would make fake reviews for fun. Be foreal please.

It was a very great experience the driver was very friendly and caring.

Booked in advance, then at midnight we're left in the rain when the driver cancelled the job, the office staff just say book another (and pay again!) Or mysteriously can't find your booking then hang up. Their app is utterly useless and crashes and you don't get any email confirmation.
A formal email complaint also ignored, not the first time and we'll never use again. Utterly shocking service 😑

Never used the company previously but very impressed. Prompt, reliable and reasonably priced.

DG Cars have let me down this morning, which is unusual, as in the past they have been reliable. This experience has left me feeling angry this morning, because I seemed to have been blamed for the taxi not arriving.
I pre- booked the taxi to pick me up at 08:10 this morning. At 08:15, I used the Chat tool on their website to chase. At 08:30, I did the same, both times being told a taxi was on the way. At 08:45, it was too late.
I missed a couple of calls from the driver earlier this morning as I was getting ready. The driver did not leave a voicemail or even a text to say they had called (a service they used to do). I called the number back, but they didn't pick up.
I was told by the person on the chat that because I didn't pick up the telephone, the driver assumed I didn't want the taxi, and went to another job. What happened to the days when they used to turn up at your door?
This is how I see it. DG Cars have overbooked and used this as an excuse to offload a customer, because they are too busy. Blaming me was easier.
They have made me late for work today, the whole experience this morning setting the day off on a bad footing.
How could DG Cars improve? The automated booking in system is not fit for purpose and will never take the place of speaking to an actual person. If a person has pre-booked a taxi, they should honour that booking before those that call on the day.
I'm disappointed and I would like a proper apology. I certainly won't be using them in the future.

Don’t use them. Pre booked 5 hours in advance. 3 drivers in total assigned to the job and binned it off! Luckily a friend spotted us and gave us a lift home. Disgrace

rude drivers, sometimes don't turn up

I recently used DGCars Taxi and overall my experience was positive. The taxi arrived on time and took me to my destination without delay.The driver was professional, polite and knowledgeable about the area.
Thank you DGCars, I will use their services whenever I need!

They always mess up airport bookings leaving you waiting a long time. Second in a row now, last to be picked up. May as well use the bus. Pity uber doesn't serve airport, but I won't use dg again

Terrible. When I booked the taxi through an automated system no one told me is cash only. I have used the taxi rank before and paid by card through a Link they sent me. When we arrived at the destination the driver Ajmal Riaz was very intimidating and without my permission decided to drive time to the cash point. We agreed to do bank transfer so I can just get out. Felt like I was held hostage. Absolutely disgusting and will be reporting this further now that I have drivers name.
