Great sofa

Alison was extremely helpful. Even though we had really decided on the sofa we liked, she suggestd that we still looked at all there was to view to confirm our choice. We only wanted the two seater sofa, and a price was obtained to only buy that and not the chair that went with it.

Rachel and lily were very helpful friendly staff in the Torquay store. Great customer service and would recommend going there.

Had our sofa for just over a year, probably the worst sofa we have ever brought, honestly we have had to add cushions/blankets under the seat cushion as there is just no support feels like your sinking, and even with the weekly plumping of which my partner is ocd about. Our previous sofa lasted 7 years from a discount sofa store… this one awful. Can’t fault the sales staff or the delivery or the process DFS can get that right… either we got a Friday special or they just can’t make sofas.

I have had a complete nightmare with DFS since the moment I purchased a new sofa starting with staff at Torquay Willows branch passing an incorrect mobile number as my contact to the finance company and delivery company resulting in unnecessary stress caused by issues with signing my credit agreement and delivery company turning up at 8am with my sofa when the room wasn’t ready, having been unable to contact me with delivery time. This situation made worse by a female member of staff at The Willows trying to blame me by suggesting that staff read out an incorrect phone number (twice) and that I said it was correct, as if I don’t know my own phone number. Then when sofa arrived the seams in the seat cushions are all out of line which looks unsightly, unlike the sofa on display in store which has perfectly aligned seams. DFS customer service will not listen to my concerns simply telling me that my sofa is meant to be like that and the sofa on display is a ‘representation’. DFS staff have pushed back at every every issue I have raised and I have never felt so frustrated and helpless following any purchase let alone a major purchase like a sofa, by a company I had always previously considered as reputable.

We were very pleasantly surprised to find that there was no "hard-Sell" in store with the colleague simply asking what we were looking for and guiding us towards just what we wanted. He even warned us regarding the dimensions in the shop looking much smaller than they may in our home.
The salesperson was polite, friendly and helpful throughout and should be commended for his manner and expertise in making this a worthwhile and enjoyable experience. .

They took the time to make sure I understood everything, which made the experience smooth and stress-free. Overall, I’m very happy with the service I received and would definitely recommend DFS to others.
