DFS PAISLEY-

We purchased a sofa from DFS Paisley two years ago and also paid for the additional insurance cover. Unfortunately, the insurance turned out to be a complete waste of money, as they failed to resolve the issues we experienced with the sofa.

Recently, we returned to the store intending to purchase another sofa. However, after speaking with a very helpful and polite customer service advisor, we were informed that my current sofa should actually be repaired per insurance. Based on this advice, we decided to cancel the new sofa order.

We attempted to cancel the order within 36 hours of placing it and were told we had to visit the store in person. After making the trip, we were then told that only the sales assistant who processed the order could cancel it (Please can you confirm if this is actually DFS policy as it sounds made up in all honesty). As they were busy with another customer- not her fault, we were left waiting over an hour for a process that ultimately took less than two minutes to complete. Despite requesting numerous times to speak with the manager they remained in their office “too busy”.

The customer service advisor I spoke to was excellent, but the overall experience with DFS has been extremely disappointing. Between the worthless insurance cover, the poor handling of a simple cancellation request and manager who is simply uninterested I would not recommend buying a sofa from this store. Furthermore, I am actively advising everyone I know to avoid.

We were looking for a recliner chair as my partner has a bad back. The sales lady whose name I can’t quite remember(butI think it was something like Lavina) sowed us chairs in the main range firstly but was also quick to point out there was a chair meeting our requirements in the sale stock. The chair had a slight mark at the back which wouldn’t be seen anyway and was a bargain price / it actually turned out there had been an error with this but we were sold it at the price marked. The sales lady was very helpful in assisting us to arrange pickup of the chair also and told me how to take care of the leather. When we picked up the chair later that day it was ready for us and we were given assistance in cartying it to our van. All in all a very satisfactory experience with DFS.

Lovely bright and fresh shop. Stock was well presented. Was able to browse peacefully without being approached. Having chosen the items I required staff was very helpful and pleasant. Many Thanks.

Being able to go into a store to view and try the sofas was great. Also Ian, who served me was extremely informative and helpful making the whole shopping experience much easier.

Me and my wife came in today with our 8 week old daughter , looking for a relaxed experience. Found our ideal couch for our young family and was helped by Ian today who set our minds at ease knowing we were making a good purchase. 10/10 customer care and a great coffee on our new couch.

Mum and l both had a lovely and very personalised experience with our purchases. Christine was very personable and took time to get to know what both mum and l liked, wanted, and what mum needed, as mum has mobility needs. Christine also made gentle suggestions as to what additional pieces would complete the picture for mum’s lounge, and we both appreciated this.She also advised me on the care of my existing sofa.Christine is the perfect balance of personable and professional,and on our return to purchase at DFS, we would definitely request to be advised by Christine again.Thank you Christine for your advice and lovely chat.Mum really appreciated your consideration !

Great service, Steven looked after us whilst looking at a sofa, offered advice and not pushy which was great.
Returned next day, unfortunately Steven wasn’t there but Bobby helped us complete the purchase.

Staff don’t hassle you . They let you wander round then they are there to help when you have found the perfect sofa .
