Dangerous product & zero support
We bought the recliner sofa from DFS, and it has turned out to be the worst purchase we’ve ever made. Just recently, it suddenly started burning and smoking completely out of nowhere — there was no electrical fault nearby, no heat source, nothing that could have caused it. It was absolutely terrifying and could have easily led to a serious fire.
We’ve been going back and forth with DFS for ages now to get this resolved. We’ve shared all the details, explained the safety risk, and provided photos, but there has been absolutely no progress at all. They keep passing us between different teams, giving us generic replies, and refusing to take any real responsibility. It feels like they just don’t care about the danger their product caused or the stress we’ve been put through.
I would strongly advise anyone looking for furniture to avoid big chains like this and go to an independent business instead — at least they actually value their customers and stand behind what they sell. This level of negligence and poor customer service is unacceptable.

Great service
We received excellent service from start to finish. We were made to feel comfortable throughout and were even able to complete the purchase while sitting on the sofa we were buying, which made the experience very relaxed.
Everything was explained clearly, and we were provided with all the options available to help keep our new sofa clean and looking its best for as long as possible. Overall, a great experience with friendly and knowledgeable service.

Excellent customer services. Was not rushed and everything was explained patiently and in detail. Felt very comfortable making the purchase. The range of sofas and options are excellent. Sofas very comfortable. The sales assistant was very patient efficient and softly spoken and felt comfortable going through the purchasing process.

Originally wanted to buy a sofa that…
Originally wanted to buy a sofa that was on clearance, had asked a question about it that i apparently had to wait for the manager to get back to me about and left my phone number. Not only did I not get a call but the next time I went in store to purchase it anyway the store had sold it. I was then told that as a result of the issue they would put a note on this order to try and get me the sofa earlier than the normal delivery time. The delivery time has now been extended from the original date of 02/07 to 23/7 so not only did I not get the delivery earlier I now have to wait an additional 3 weeks. Terrible service all round.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, its always greatly appreciated. Majority of the furniture is hand made to order, a delivery time will apply and we assure you it will be worth the wait!
With the ex-display/ clearance stock in store, as the customer is able to purchase the items straight away in store and in most cases take it home the same day, stock is first come, first served. Unfortunately if the furniture was not secured we are unable to hold it due to the demand, I can only apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
