Lisa was a breath of fresh air, she explained everything in detail that i needed to fill in and talked me through every step!

I was referred to DC law when I needed to sell my mother’s property after her sudden passing. I was immediately assigned a personal conveyancer (Cheryl England) to oversee my case. Cheryl guided my every step of the way, making time for me whenever I needed and explaining every detail of the process. As this was a completely new experience for me, I had a million questions but Cheryl was always available to guide me. As well as Cheryl’s help, the dashboard on their portal kept me fully updated on the progress of the sale of the property. I couldn’t recommend this company (and especially Cheryl) enough as they made this experience straightforward and easy to understand.

Very efficient system easy to use .The only comment I would make is that you need to stay in touch a bit more, had to chase a bit at the start and every time I called the person in charge of my case had changed.

Having considerable experience with selling houses, it was a relief to find DC Law and our case officer,Rachel Samosa, very efficient and easy to deal with. Information was requested clearly and handled quickly. The portal was a great platform to receive and send updates and information. I was also able to speak to Rachel easily when needed.

Having experience DC Law, JS Law and other derivetives for the sale of property of extended family, I would not use them again.
Instead of signing up with this "supermarket soup" of house sale conveyancers via your estate agent, I would find a firm you can build a rapport with - or who you know.
From the most recent transaction, knowing a buyer was waiting I asked that everything be put in place so that the house sale could exchange and complete ASAP after probate was granted. That was not put in place. Probate only seemed to start the process.
Meanwhile, a land registry search was put in for the wrong address, which I found astonishing.
Furthermore I responded to buyer queries at the start of June. These only seemed to be received by the buyer's agent/solicitor at the end of June. And it took another month for queries raised in those replies to be put to me. The buyer's solicitor worked for a derivetive of DC Law. I had to pay some indemnity insurance and proactively ring my solicitor - after emails went unanswered - to sort and gain an explanation. The explanation was forthcoming and logical but it should have been explained earlier.
That part of the process all took the best part of 10 weeks when it could have been done in two weeks.

I am very disappointed with DC Law.
DC Law have been dealing with the sale of my Mothers property shortly after she was admitted into a care home.
My Mother passed away in March this year and the sale of her house was almost at the exchange of contracts stage so everything went to probate. Fortunately the buyers were willing to wait until probate was granted.
A certificate of Grant of Probate was issued in mid May this year and since then there has been no progress with the sale at all.
Surely it doesn't take three and a half months to finalise the sale of a property that was at the exchange of contracts stage in May??
Obviously, my mothers estate cannot be settled until her house is sold and the bills from service providers are continuing to rise.
I have learnt today that the solicitor dealing with my case has been on leave and the they are leaving the company at the end of the month. I now do not know who is dealing with my case and have only received this information through my estate agent.
The contact number I have for DC Law simply rings out and nobody ever answers....
The lack of progress has created a lot of stress for me and my family.
I hope that somebody from DC Law responds to this review and that they resolve my situation soon before I take the matter further.
