Cheryl England of DC Law made the extended and difficult conveyance of our Probate property, much easier for us to bear. She was extremely professional, kept us up to date and was considerate and helpful.

The eway portal certainly helped too.

Jake Osborne got my purchase over the line in under 4 weeks!

Accepted payment of £609 yesterday as a file opening fee and initial payment for searches.

They then closed that case and opened a new one asking for a new payment of £609 for said same, without contacting me.

Tried to call them 6 times with no answer, emailed them at 1, no answer by the time they closed at 7

Followup, a second case was closed with over £200 on it. But I managed to get through to them today and it's just because I'd ended up with 2 files that need merging.

I understand this, but a quick email to explain first, would have saved so many problems

I am buying and selling a house with DC Law. It hasn't been a positive experience. Phone calls go unanswered; leave a message and nobody calls you back. I have emailed my contact and get no response after a week or more. I can see on the system that they have been emailed by the estate agents, the buyers and sellers solicitors, but they do not respond. One star.

I am hoping that this review gets some action on my behalf, because I have got nowhere else to try.

DC Law have responded to my review, saying that Trustpilot have emailed me. I have had no email from Trustpilot except for the email telling me that DC Law have responded. So I cannot respond to DC Law.

DC Law have given me another conveyancer. I will see how this goes…so far so good, I think it may have just been a bad apple. Changed my rating to three stars now…

It was a pleasure to work with DC Law as you could talk to them in person and they would help you understand what to do. They are very efficient and made it very easy for me, everyone involved was very professional, polite and pleasant to talk to,

Our conveyancer Natasha was brilliant. Quick to respond and always reassuring and calm when issues arose. The website was easy to use too. Would definitely recommend.

A slow start meant delays, with some enquiries asked repeatedly even though they were answered. Seems to be a procedural thing that DC Law should look at. Things are now beginning to move. With any luck, we too will be soon. D312033.00002

I would highly recommend Harry Cotton at DC Law. He was efficient and clear for the whole process. It was also clear from my discussions with the estate agents that Harry was consistently working behind the scenes to push through queries in a timely way. The same could not be said for all the solicitors in the chain. I was grateful to have Harry representing us.

Lisa Rimmer conveyancer was assigned to our sale of my deceased Mums house. She was always very empathetic to myself when I needed to understand the processes as they happened. Time was never an issue for her and this made it flow smoothly.

DC Law handled the sale of my parents’ home after I sadly lost them both within a year of each other following their battles with cancer.

Selling our family home while still grieving was an incredibly painful experience and, as their Executor, I found the amount of paperwork and legal documentation overwhelming.

Halfway through the process, Cheryl England took over my case, and what a difference she made.

Cheryl was an absolute ray of sunshine. Warm, friendly, patient and incredibly understanding, she was always accessible and took the time to carefully explain anything that was causing me concern. Her reassurance was invaluable.

Cheryl is clearly extremely knowledgeable and an expert in her field, but what truly sets her apart is her kindness and empathy. She brought a sense of humanity to what can otherwise feel like a very transactional process. She is an absolute credit to DC Law and to her profession.

Was referred to this company by Edward Mellor in Woodley who obviously takes a referral fee ...it was mentioned it could be a good liaison and in my naivety I went through with the recommendation.
I'm never one for leaving negative reviews unless I feel wronged but this whole experience wasn't the best. DC Law use an app which is fair enough and I'm more than tech savvy however you get bombarded with requests almost daily and weekly and some of which are hard to understand. Many a time I was losing the will in replying to these requests and more often than not my emails were ignored and same again when I asked Edward Mellor if they could help me or explain what was needed from the Conveyancing App. You literally haemorrhage money from the start of engaging the Solicitor and I had to wait weeks to find out what I was actually paying for upfront. The personal touch is definitely not there and there is almost zero after care with Edward Mellor too. I appreciate they are acting solely for the Seller but without a Buyer there would be no business and replying to emails etc is just basic customer service and not a lot to ask for
The conveyancing process amongst other things with the property made me pull out and I had lost trust and faith with this company and Edward Mellor too.
I get everyone is busy but with a significant purchase of a house basic customer service and some guidance isn't a lot to ask
If I do find another property I would go with a local solicitor who has a more personal touch instead of a distant company.

I'm sure in the scheme of things no one is actually bothered at both DC Law and Edward Mellor but trust me I never complain and am worldly wise to most things but this whole buying process was not a nice experience and was hassle , stress and it was plain to see money was at the forefront of everything as a pose to even basic customer service

I have now added the case reference details however please do not contact me because the matter is essentially closed on my part.

I have left a review because I feel strongly about the extremely poor service from both DC. Law and Edward Mellor.
Essentially I was a cash cow from submitting my offer and then being referred to yourself. nothing was ever explained about fees or the instructions, documents you sent through despite me asking and I also portion some.of this to Edward Mellor aftercare Team who weren't interested to help me
I withdrew from the house purchase at a great cost to myself because I lost confidence in both companies and the trust and respect was non existent.

Please do not contact me the matter is closed but moving forward I hope you treat customers better and don't ignore emails.

Dclaw is the worst I have come across twice they have messed up forms to be signed by me and my partner each time I have to travel up north at a cost of £35 each time this weekend I will have resign a form.

We’d like to thank Jake for his support throughout the purchase of our flat.

To be completely honest, we had a bit of a rough start to the process and there were moments when we felt frustrated and unsure about how things were progressing. However, Jake really pulled things around in the end and worked hard to get us over the line.

Buying a property can be stressful at the best of times, and we appreciated Jake’s persistence and commitment when it mattered most. Ultimately, he got the job done and helped us complete on our flat, which we’re incredibly grateful for.
